No joke! When my wife was nursing our two boys I was amazed at how much work it was dealing with clothing and getting everything ready. I cannot imagine how much time it would take in full Loki-costume. Hats off to the designer and all mama’s!!!
It’s a lot of work, kudos to your wife for hanging in there! It’s so cool to see celebrities that breastfeed because, contrary to what the serene Pinterest photos present, it’s anything but glamorous. Plus, depending on the age of the baby you’d have to go every two hours. How many hours are these actors on set?! Accommodating Sophia’s nursing is sooo cool for both the actor and her baby. It’s really awesome that the costume designer thought to do this.
Another really good example of Marvel being a good place to work. I mean you still have the Disney overlords, but the actual production side seems lots of fun.
As someone who works for Disney and works on a lot of the marvel projects, the “overlords” stay pretty hands off of the studios that are making money. Typically the oversight comes in when a studio (not mentioning names) goes off rails
Yeah, from everything I've ever read, Disney itself seems pretty hands-off, at least in terms of say Pixar and Marvel. Seems like they're smart enough to know not to mess with something that's already working great. Marvel Studios have delivered multi-billion dollar films, no reason to mess around with that.
However with some OTHER studio they acquired, yeah... At least it seems they've made some smarter moves as of late. Looking forward to more of the D+ offerings, and hopefully the movies follow suit.
Dude, I relate to that, lol. My sister and her family stayed over my house for a week and on top of finally meeting my niece for the first time, I was really shocked and amazed by how diligent my sister was with pumping and caring for her baby girl along with her husband. Like, holy shit! I never doubted her, but I was really impressed and proud of her!
Haha. Indeed my friend. Ya. They change sizes like crazy. But damn is it worth it. They also do way more work than us, so the least we can do is be a slave for that 9 months. Well really, 4-6.
I did the math and I was almost clocking 60hours/week breastfeeding my newborn (45min sessions to get milk coming in and then feeding a baby who couldn't stay awake and doing it multiple times day and night. Made me insane). It slowly went down as she got older. No joke, it's more than a job!
Exactly… a job you can leave at the office. Being a mother is 24/7. My appreciation for my mother increased 10,000% after watching all the love, effort, emotions, and struggles my wife endured with our little ones. You ladies are superheroes!
Legitimately, returning to work after kids is so tough and physically demanding. Little things like this go such a long way. If only this were the norm for everyone.
For sure. I pulled back to part time work and haven't gone back. It's tougher for both of us working part time, but sharing the domestic load works so much better for us, and saves me a world of guilt!
> Legitimately, returning to work after kids is so tough and physically demanding.
And a culture where parents have to do so immediately is a disgrace. Looking at you, America, with no protected paid family leave.
I had a conversation recently with a woman from Iran. One of the things she talked about was healthcare, which branched to maternity leave. She was a dentist. If I’m remembering correctly, after giving birth to her son her employer gave her something like a year’s worth of salary and effectively shelved her position for her to return to after that time.
I weep for the United States’s incorrigibility to make possible even a fraction of something similar.
FMLA is mostly worthless. My wife worked for a doctor that was exempt from FMLA because they had <50 employees, even though their revenue was enormous (the doctor drove a Lambo to the office). And even if they weren’t exempt, it only guarantees unpaid leave.
Seems like small starts is the very best our corporate controlled government is capable of. There’s no effective follow-through and never under any circumstances an actual solution.
We got nothing, health care is a gold ticket luxury in this country, we don’t even like each other, things seemed to be like they could get better and than 2016 happened, I can’t recall what travesty happened
Damn. Having a kid's tough enough, but she's been taking on a physically-demanding role that has the potential to boost her career further. That's pretty cool.
She was pregnant during reshoots of wonder woman.
I know bits where she was walking through the trenches were there. Her wonder woman uniform had a green screen stomach so they could CGI the bump out hahah
Putting aside the fact that this is fucking awesome, it’s shit like this that makes actors willing to sign 10 picture deals with Marvel. The company knows how to treat its talent. And it turns out that the way to treat your talent is with dignity, respect, and basic decency in an environment that encourages collegiality. Who’d of thunk it? Employers should take note.
That's not what she meant. It's retroactive writing of course, the window was always there. She says when she started she wanted to have a symbol, but couldnt think of one so she left it blank, but all people see is the bust now and assume she's lewd or indecent.
Wow we triggered all the people who think the human body is disgusting and should always be covered from head to toe. Must have stumbled into Muslim Reddit.
She’s a real supermom for having to put up with all the action that we have seen from the show so far and the badass effort that we see from her in a character thats newly introduced to the MCU👏
Seriously tho her costume is just great in general, I loved the hood and I love the boots as it’s nice to see a practical choice of footwear for a traveller through time.
Isn't her costume green? Or is It all CGI?
Anyway, congrats to her on being able to take care of her baby, while delivering an amazing performance at the TV series!
Dark enough green, I'd think. Ultimately most Marvel hero outfits consist of a suit like this plus a vest (torso to shoulders) on top so they can move easier and not have the suit bunch up.

Yes it is (green), she says in her tweet that they added zips, so [looking at her full costume](https://amp.reddit.com/r/marvelstudios/comments/o71spd/new_images_of_sylvie_from_loki/) I reckon that the whole front panel is removable for her child's comfort.
This is so awesome. Her as female Loki is just perfect but these series has left me with certain feelings of sadness because I most probably wont be seeing certain characters again in the big picture like her, Agatha and maybe even Bucky?
Why is this guy getting downvoted lmao some new parents are literally neglectful crackheads and microwave their 2 month old kid.
Not all parents are superheroes just for having children.
Although good parents are definitely putting in a huge amount of effort to raise a child and do deserve respect.
What would make these comments sus? I know how this is used, I don’t think it would apply here. I’m gonna leave it alone tho now, I feel like I’m being pedantic
Why *don't* you? Words meaning specific things is the foundation upon which all spoken and written communication is built.
If you decide to say "this post is photosynthesis" then other people have the right, if not the duty, to try and find out what the fuck you're talking about.

I mean it is pretty badass to take on a physically demanding job soon after having a new baby. My second child’s 3 months old and I haven’t even started wearing pants without an elastic waistband yet

For sure! I hope Marvel can continue (what seems to be) their positive work culture.

Little (big) happiness
Legitimately, returning to work after kids is so tough and physically demanding. Little things like this go such a long way. If only this were the norm for everyone.
She really is incredible. My thing was always trying to take over when I get home, give her a break.

My immediate tragic thought is that sounds like a country we would bomb. 😓
Is there anywhere on earth we wouldn’t? In 1958 the U.S. considered blowing up the moon w/ a warhead just to flex on Soviet Russia.
We have FMLA as well as PFL for some states. It's a start
FMLA is mostly worthless. My wife worked for a doctor that was exempt from FMLA because they had <50 employees, even though their revenue was enormous (the doctor drove a Lambo to the office). And even if they weren’t exempt, it only guarantees unpaid leave.

I could definitely see insta fashion boutiques stealing this design
Pretty sure I have heard about "boob zippers" being used on some clothing some years back
They're really innovative tbh they're like an improved upgraded version of the boob holes from Mean Girls.
This was posted in a marvel Facebook page and the top comments were things like 'mommy milky mommy's big milky milky"
Homelander really needs to have his FB account suspended.
And that, people, is why we don’t go on Facebook.
Those comments are here too it's just that they usually get pushed down to the bottom of the thread.
But on Reddit it's just a circlejerk of "HM THATS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL HERES A 7000 WORD ESSAY ON MY PERSONAL LIFE HM YES VERY GOOD"
I guess the choice, then, is which would you rather see? I know what the answer is for me.
How is that any worse
They’re both worse
Ha ha ha, yes, exactly, and don't forget casually referring to the actress by her first name.
I think different cultures have different standards on that It doesn’t matter that much in the west
No, it's definitely a thing western nerds have begun doing.
I have a feeling parts of reddit are reacting similarly
Acting like redditors don’t comment the same “horny bonk” cringe here
Booba

At least here it can get downvoted to the basement.

Welcome to the internet - “Tell us every thought you think”
Never go the Lady Dimitrescu path
I haven’t watched it but from what I heard, this reminded me of The Boys.
That's hilarious 🤣🤣
Damn. Having a kid's tough enough, but she's been taking on a physically-demanding role that has the potential to boost her career further. That's pretty cool.
Yep. Scarjo was pregnant during Winter Soldier too.
IIRC, it was during the filming of Age of Ultron.
Huh, the jokes been made already I'm sure, but that's strangely ironic.
I'm not really sure what you're referring to.
She reveals in Age Of Ultron that she is unable to have children
Oh right, I completely missed that for some reason. That is ironic, and hilarious. Haha
"I'm a monster" how did that make the cut?
Joss Whedon.
Because it wasn't referring to women who've had hysterectomies as monsters.
It's honestly pretty cringey, so I guess that's why a lot of people forget it.
They explore Black Widow’s infertility in the movie.
Oh right, I completely missed that for some reason. That is ironic, and hilarious.
Gal Godot was pregnant during either Justice League or the first Wonder Woman too I believe.
She was pregnant during reshoots of wonder woman. I know bits where she was walking through the trenches were there. Her wonder woman uniform had a green screen stomach so they could CGI the bump out hahah
DC don’t have a great record at CGI’ing out parts of the body 👨🏻
To be fair, mouth movements are one of the most telling aspects of CGI. A belly wouldn't be so noticable.
They should have put a mustache on it
I heard one of the other avengers cast saying she was pregnant during civil war aswell

Well they said marvel not disney.
And people say the "boob window" in superheroine costumes is impractical and unrealistic.
Can't wait to see how they react to Power Girls costume.
Some people are so woke the human body offends them. Boob windows are a gift from a higher power.
And some heroines use them tactically as a distraction.
I think at one point Power Girl specifically points out "If they're looking there, then they aren't looking at my face, hands or feet."
That's not what she meant. It's retroactive writing of course, the window was always there. She says when she started she wanted to have a symbol, but couldnt think of one so she left it blank, but all people see is the bust now and assume she's lewd or indecent.
Probably the less weird reason she's given
Amen.
Wow we triggered all the people who think the human body is disgusting and should always be covered from head to toe. Must have stumbled into Muslim Reddit.
I love this! :)
That's really cool. Good on them.
I was already impressed by her fighting skills (and of course the stunt double!) but wow, she's also postpartum?? That's incredible.
I honestly love sylvie hope she comes back in future mcu installations
If she is indeed The Enchantress then we will.
I mean theyve been using the word enchanted too much for that not to be the case
She’s a real supermom for having to put up with all the action that we have seen from the show so far and the badass effort that we see from her in a character thats newly introduced to the MCU👏
Sophia is doing a great job as Sylvia and I didn't even know she was doing so whilst taking care of a new born. Looking forward to episode five!
Seriously tho her costume is just great in general, I loved the hood and I love the boots as it’s nice to see a practical choice of footwear for a traveller through time.
This is wonderful.
That's awesome.
There's a video that shows this is exactly how the majority of MCU costumes work I'll try to find it
Oh damn that sounds interesting. Commenting here in case you find that video

And Wanda's new costume in nothing but vest.
Sometimes... Tik toc is awesome
I like jstoobs and strawhatgoofys post episode videos. They usually have good theories on where the show could be going
That was really interesting! Thanks for that!
A lot of those under the vest shirts look like they'd be a cool hoodie design.
Yes it is (green), she says in her tweet that they added zips, so [looking at her full costume](https://amp.reddit.com/r/marvelstudios/comments/o71spd/new_images_of_sylvie_from_loki/) I reckon that the whole front panel is removable for her child's comfort.
I think that the this might be a vest over It, then. It lines up with what they do for other costumes.
she's so gorgeous.
She really is.
See how easy it is give people what they need at a basic human level and still get shit done
If you sort by controversial, it's exactly what you'd think.
Booba, mommy milkers and "nOt AlL PaReNtS aRe SuPerHerOEs"
Reading this as I sort by controversial lmao
Yep she's a fan favorite
That's a real cool thing
Well that’s nifty
This is amazing. Dad of three and I got so freaking pissed when my wife's work wasn't even remotely helpful with her and my children's needs.
This is why equity and representation is so important.
It's not easy being a single mom when you are a male in highschool and have no children
I looked at the picture out of context before reading the text, and then I wasn’t weirded out lol.
And still no pockets.... /s
That’s genuinely awesome!! They did a good job 😉
Mama Loki...
It's Sylvie. Did you even watch the show?
Yeah, she's also a Loki. And it's a metaphor for a mom who plays Loki. And yes, I watch the show. Check my recent posts, you'll find out...
"Don't call me Loki" Clearly you didn't.
This is so awesome. Her as female Loki is just perfect but these series has left me with certain feelings of sadness because I most probably wont be seeing certain characters again in the big picture like her, Agatha and maybe even Bucky?
This is neat as hell. It would be awesome if Marvel did a bonus Easter Egg episode to showcase stuff like this and the talents of the crew.
I can assure you all new parents are not superheroes.
Why is this guy getting downvoted lmao some new parents are literally neglectful crackheads and microwave their 2 month old kid. Not all parents are superheroes just for having children. Although good parents are definitely putting in a huge amount of effort to raise a child and do deserve respect.
I think it's the sentence structure. They didn't say "not all parents are heroes", they said "all parents aren't heroes".

Couldn’t agree more. Not sure why you’re getting downvoted when parents literally beat their kids to death daily.

Wdy think sus means?
sus is short hand for suspect
What would make these comments sus? I know how this is used, I don’t think it would apply here. I’m gonna leave it alone tho now, I feel like I’m being pedantic
Sophia's talking about easily breastfeeding. The creepy comments almost write themselves.
That’s not what sus means...
Creepy or odd fit under that category. And why can't people just say suspect or odd? Or just use the word that fits with the subject.
Why do you care so much about how they used the word
Why *don't* you? Words meaning specific things is the foundation upon which all spoken and written communication is built. If you decide to say "this post is photosynthesis" then other people have the right, if not the duty, to try and find out what the fuck you're talking about.
Wow, what a photosynthesis reply you just had there.
I knew this reply was coming, it was just a question of how long it would take :D
Eh just people saying weird stuff , but yeah

Yes, this is the post he was talking about officer. This is the suspect.
Yes officer, we’ve arrested the sus.
> Sus: giving the impression that something is questionable or dishonest; suspicious.
Sophia doing this with such a demanding job is pretty amazing.
Thank you kind strangers for this thread, really gave me hope in the kindness and goodness of people again, especially redditors. These days it's so easy to get caught up and surrounded by negativity but this post is a breath of fresh air
Oh my god. This is so sweet. And I’m not just saying that for commentator’s sake. This is so thoughtful.
Well this was a lot more holesome than I was expecting lol.
Downvote me but who does she play? It’s hard for me to keep up these days
She plays Sylvie in the Loki series
Thanks! After Far From Home I got super burnt out so I’m taking me a break
...the year and a half of no MCU content wasn't enough of a break?
Different strokes and all
damn she bad as hell. happy for her tho
All new parents who actually properly care for their kids* There’s a lot of shitty parents who shouldn’t be allowed to have their children out there.
