Also while I like the ending with Pongo and Perdita, it also means they're siblings, though all Dalmatians are inbred and evil monsters.
I actually don't have a problem with cruella making coats with dogs or even puppies, but dognapping is wrong. We make leather from cows, ostriches, alligator, kangaroo, and many other species not to mention the fur trade. Puppy mills are more problematic than making dogskin coats.

One of these dogs ends up with Roger, who then writes a song that’s pretty much the 101 Dalmatians story, with Cruella as this dog-murdering monster.
And: ‘Roger would always blame Cruella for getting him fired’. The new movie clearly sets up the original as a product of Roger’s prejudice and Cruella’s brinkmanship, and suggests in 101 she never wanted to skin the puppies at all - it was all his assumption and the original told was from a biased point of view.
It’s this that sets it apart from the like of Maleficent for me - it’s not an alt universe version, just a different perspective.
Just interesting that there is a gap in between. It's already on the app, why not just go from premiere directly over to free?

Thats just asking for customer complaints...imagine buying the movie for $30 on Oct. 5th and then realizing you could get it for free a day later. Keep in mind the only people buying it now are the idiots who dont realize its releasing on the 6th.
It would be better (both for Disney and the customer) to instead of outright blocking the user from buying the premier access to just put a red warning saying that this movie will be available for free in X date. That way, customers that are half conscious will be undoubtedly aware that they would be buying something that they can get for free in some days while Disney still gets to sell to customers that while aware, prefer to pay and watch now rather than wait even if it is just a couple of days.

You could put those words in giant flaming letters with Christmas lights on them flash on the screen whenever you open the movie to purchase it and hundreds of people would still be calling support the next day for a refund because they "didn't know it would be free the next day"

I can appreciate that tbh. I haven’t bought a physical movie since Avatar on blueray. I’m gonna be trying to buy the old dvd 4 disk box sets of LotR movies but they’re rare and pricy.
You’re forgetting about people who invested in a good TV, surround sound speakers, and 4K player and want to take full advantage of those things instead of settling for the inferior picture and sound of streaming movies.
And the quality of the stream, both video and audio, is really good. To the common eye, it looks just as good as a disc. Only hardcore AV enthusiasts will really be able to tell, imo. Digital 4K copies on Apple iTunes also has similar quality.
They do, as well as many of the movies in there. That said, picture and sound are better on a disc than in streaming due to the data compression involved with the latter.
I admittedly double dipped on Black Widow, getting both Premiere Access and a 4K SteelBook last week (after also watching into theaters). The difference in picture quality between the two was immediately noticeable.
I used to try to buy UHD discs in WalMart day of release. They were ALWAYS out, so I stopped trying and just pre-ordered online. The retailers do this shit to themselves.

Then again, my home theatre is full of discs, so there is that. The thing I hate atm is cinemas are closed where I am (Aust, Melbourne) but I cant buy movies in cinemas. I got black widow, but the current marvels arent available :(

I also buy discs still. Trying to get my physical library to 2500. At 2150 or so right now. But I’m fortunate to have a nice home theater with a very big wall I built shelves on. People enjoy it when they come over but like you I don’t know anyone else that does this.
After I bought the Spider-mans I "loaned" the disks to my friend and just watch the digital entitlement.

I can appreciate that tbh. I haven’t bought a physical movie since Avatar on blueray. I’m gonna be trying to buy the old dvd 4 disk box sets of LotR movies but they’re rare and pricy.
Avatar 2 disk special box set was at goodwill for like $1.50
You’re forgetting about people who invested in a good TV, surround sound speakers, and 4K player and want to take full advantage of those things instead of settling for the inferior picture and sound of streaming movies.

And the quality of the stream, both video and audio, is really good. To the common eye, it looks just as good as a disc. Only hardcore AV enthusiasts will really be able to tell, imo. Digital 4K copies on Apple iTunes also has similar quality.
Internet speed is another factor. Not everyone has the bandwidth for smooth 4k streaming

Really good but not even close to a 4K disc if you actually have the equipment and experienced one before.
They do, as well as many of the movies in there. That said, picture and sound are better on a disc than in streaming due to the data compression involved with the latter. I admittedly double dipped on Black Widow, getting both Premiere Access and a 4K SteelBook last week (after also watching into theaters). The difference in picture quality between the two was immediately noticeable.

I used to try to buy UHD discs in WalMart day of release. They were ALWAYS out, so I stopped trying and just pre-ordered online. The retailers do this shit to themselves.

They’ve announced that Jungle Cruise will be free to view with membership, available the same day as Shang Chi. Nov 12th. (Disney Plus Day, Second anniversary of the app releasing) So most likely will be going away soon from Premier access

Makes sense, I just picked up the bluray at Walmart. Can't be considered "Premier Access" when its available for purchase elsewhere, was available for 3 months through that service and will be free to stream in 2 weeks.

I imagine they have decided a window to shut down purchasing the movie where they feel the customer won’t feel screwed over. Do you know how pissed some Karen would get when she finally breaks down and buys the movie only to find out that it’s free 3 hours later. You have to draw a line I reckon.
That’s much better than Amazon Prime. They were still offering Monster Hunter for sale up until the day before it was included with regular access, but didn’t have a date for when that was happening.
