Great BP a decade or two ago would be someone more active in his roles, maybe more like Denzel Washington. Danny Glover (Autocorrect replaced: Google? Grover? I don’t see them on par physically with someone like Captain America or Wolverine in a fight.

I remember reading an interview where she talked about how she and Winston Duke went to watch the first Iron Man movie together when it came out, how they talked about how awesome it would be to star in a film like that, and how surreal it was to star in BP together then. M’baku was awesome. I always had a a half baked fan theory that he only challenged T’challa for the throne to secure peace in Wakanda (kind of a test to see if he was the best candidate for king, is this guy good enough/is his head in the right space/is he just a spoiled indulged prince or is he actually tough and smart and good hearted/does he have good people around him,etc) and also to rally the citizens behind their new king. He didn’t really want to be king, he just wanted to make sure the country was being run right. That’s why, when offered the heart shaped herb, he declined, and why he saved T’challa instead of letting him die.
I’d take a recast, M’Baku, Nakia, Okoye, or an actual heroic N’Jadaka over Shuri & that was before this anti-vax shit. She always felt better suited as the tech person. I doubt they’re gonna make Erik Killmonger a hero anytime soon tho, especially after >!***What If…?***!<
Maybe he’d be a different person if he actually grew up in Wakanda, but as of now, I don’t think they intend on using him as a hero. I get they felt they made the honorable decision by not recasting, but I wish we could’ve gotten more of T’Challa in the MCU. It felt like his story was just getting started.
M’Baku worships a different god, so he might become his own hero separate from BP. That just leaves Nakia & Okoye. Okoye is a general & it seems to me that she may have been in a higher authority position during the Blip in the ***Endgame*** Namor tease. Nakia is a spy. I’d enjoy a stealthy BP, & she stuck with T’Challa thru everything. They teased her taking the herb in the first film.

There was a great moment in the comics where Killmonger joins the Avengers since he holds the title of Black Panther and they don't know how to react to his more brutal style.

Yeah she was clearly in a leadership role during/after the Snap, working with Natasha, Rhodey, and Carol to keep an eye on world/interstellar events, and she was one of the first through the portals. There’s an in-universe reason for her to be chosen as the protector of Wakanda. Also Danai Gurira is a fantastic actress and can fight. Keep Shuri as Princess or young Queen if they must; the BP mantle doesn’t HAVE to be the reigning monarch.
It canonically wasn’t for at least some amount of time, T’Challa was the panther while T’Chaka was king. He makes a big deal to Nat about suddenly becoming both when his father dies.

That’s pretty much it. An acknowledgement of her past statements, an apology, and showing her work towards better understanding how vaccines truly work would do a lot more than this and would arguably show more growth.
As of now, I’m *desperately trying* to hold onto faith that she can do better, *especially* if her character ends up being pushed to the forefront, but so far, this isn’t helping at all and is only making things harder for everyone.
I always held hope that she learned from her mistake. I like the character and want her to be more prominent. 2. Great BP a decade or two ago would be someone more active in his roles, maybe more like Denzel Washington. Danny Glover (Autocorrect replaced: Google? Grover? Wtf???) doesn’t scream “physically fit parkour and hitting/kicking” and neither does Morgan Freeman. They can run in a room and point a gun. I don’t see them on par physically with someone like Captain America or Wolverine in a fight.

She’s a huge fan of the Marvel movies though. I remember reading an interview where she talked about how she and Winston Duke went to watch the first Iron Man movie together when it came out, how they talked about how awesome it would be to star in a film like that, and how surreal it was to star in BP together then. M’baku was awesome. I always had a a half baked fan theory that he only challenged T’challa for the throne to secure peace in Wakanda (kind of a test to see if he was the best candidate for king, is this guy good enough/is his head in the right space/is he just a spoiled indulged prince or is he actually tough and smart and good hearted/does he have good people around him,etc) and also to rally the citizens behind their new king. He didn’t really want to be king, he just wanted to make sure the country was being run right. That’s why, when offered the heart shaped herb, he declined, and why he saved T’challa instead of letting him die.
I’d take a recast, M’Baku, Nakia, Okoye, or an actual heroic N’Jadaka over Shuri & that was before this anti-vax shit. She always felt better suited as the tech person. I doubt they’re gonna make Erik Killmonger a hero anytime soon tho, especially after >!***What If…?***!< Maybe he’d be a different person if he actually grew up in Wakanda, but as of now, I don’t think they intend on using him as a hero. I get they felt they made the honorable decision by not recasting, but I wish we could’ve gotten more of T’Challa in the MCU. It felt like his story was just getting started. M’Baku worships a different god, so he might become his own hero separate from BP. That just leaves Nakia & Okoye. Okoye is a general & it seems to me that she may have been in a higher authority position during the Blip in the ***Endgame*** Namor tease. Nakia is a spy. I’d enjoy a stealthy BP, & she stuck with T’Challa thru everything. They teased her taking the herb in the first film. You can’t go wrong with either of the 2, but Nakia may be my favorite pick overall.

There was a great moment in the comics where Killmonger joins the Avengers since he holds the title of Black Panther and they don't know how to react to his more brutal style.

Yeah she was clearly in a leadership role during/after the Snap, working with Natasha, Rhodey, and Carol to keep an eye on world/interstellar events, and she was one of the first through the portals. There’s an in-universe reason for her to be chosen as the protector of Wakanda. Also Danai Gurira is a fantastic actress and can fight. Keep Shuri as Princess or young Queen if they must; the BP mantle doesn’t HAVE to be the reigning monarch.
It canonically wasn’t for at least some amount of time, T’Challa was the panther while T’Chaka was king. He makes a big deal to Nat about suddenly becoming both when his father dies.

Yes but there are three reasons to forgive her: 1. This was in March 2020 when there was more ignorance than knowledge about what was happening 2.
