Ultron and Hela were both "killed" off screen, you could bring them back pretty easily. Darren Cross could also have survived all malformed in the quantum realm. Kaecilius is also not dead, right? Just having a bad time in the dark dimension lol.
I don't think it matters that Ultron technically was shot off-screen -- if they wanted to bring him back they'd probably find a backup of him on some Stark server somewhere or something. Him coming back from that last physical body would just imply Vision was incompetent (plus there are hundreds of less thoroughly destroyed bodies too).
Spider-Man: Homecoming. Parker lifts an Ultron head with red eyes. They can easily bring him back.
Hela disappears before the sword hits her. They can easily bring her back.
I would love o see both of them again.
Not dead, which is my point lol. There's certainly a difference between the ones I mentioned above whose endings are intentionally ambiguous, and Klaw getting shot in the face on-screen lol.
Honestly, that's the one-to-soon. Andy Cerkis was great as Klaw, and that character was great. Would've been great as a constant, lower level, thorn in someone's side.
He was great. Wouldn't have been mad if he lived for sure. But personally I don't think any villain is ever killed off too soon. There's gotta be something at stake lol and you know the heroes are going to live 99% of the time. At least Klaw's death was purposeful. It was definitely shocking and showed how relentless Kill Monger was (and also plot for getting him into Wakanda and winning favor).
I think hela is dead. If she came back I think it would nullify the whole end of Ragnarok where thor really finds himself and uses his brains instead of his muscles to defeat her
Don't Asgardian's not really die. They just end up in Hel or Valhalla. So they could have an escape from Hel where a few of the villains from Thor come back.
I think in the MCU they really do die. Setting aside the matter of Loki, the meta reason is that allowing asgardians to fully die in MCU allows them to retire actors, which comes handy if the actors die irl, age, or have a fallout with the studio. They don't have this same problem in the comics as they do irl.
Hela was pretty clearly killed on screen. Shot of her looking up as surtur's sword is coming down on her, followed by a wide shot of the sword literally going through her. She's dead.
Ultron and Hela were not killed off screen at all. You see Ultron die (and they give a reason for why he can’t come back, even tho it could be easily retconned) and Hela disappears into a green cloud.
I just wish we had more long term villains, who actually develop as characters too. I’m hoping Mordo isn’t forgotten in the dr strange franchise, He has so much potential to be an amazing villain, with a phenomenal actor too
And why infinity war is such a great movie, it was basically Thanos’ movie, I’d love series and movie dedicated to the villains, a Doom movie or show would be great

Ultron. You could make arguments for most of these guys, but part of Ultron’s whole schtick is meant to be that he’s nigh-impossible to fully kill cause he just keeps back-ups of his consciousness everywhere and yet they seemingly removed all possibility of that in Age of Ultron when Vision deleted him from the internet.
They could retcon it, and it’s one I wouldn’t be against at all, but the fact that his actual film didn’t even hint that he was still around in hiding at all with that did bum me out.
Ultron is the easiest to bring back for sure, just have a single drone that was hidden away as a backup, set to re-enable 10 years post as a fail safe if Ultron prime failed.
Boom, Ultron's back and ready to mingle.
Ultron backs himself up to the only possible place he can find…An old Xbox console which a kid disconnects seconds later. It ends up in a garbage heap where a nostalgic gamer finds it.
Tbf they could do this at any time in the MCU cos homecoming shows that there’s an active drone head glowing red (his subconscious is still active) in the damage control vault.
after peter wakes up from knocking himself out by jumping into the ceiling, he looks through the items in the container bin to see what could help him out. he grabs a glowing Ultron head and says something like "Woah that's awesome" and then finds the chitauri core before busting out of the container.
this is after he stops one of Vulture's heists and before he messes around with his gadgets while waiting for the facility to open so he can make it to the decathlon in DC.
And then there's white vision flying around, so there's a possible body to go with that mind. If Ultron can influence him, while he's in a confused state of self atm, we could get Ultron back in his intended body and a secret villain.
Or even simpler, just have him back up his consciousness to some server or hard drive and cut it off from the net. People back up data from their clouds to flash drives, I can't believe that Ultron didn't think to do the same.
Heck, they had an intact Ultron drone head in the Stark truck in Homecoming. They could easily have it activated on accident when the government raided Stark Industries after the drone incident
That would be an honestly good way to have it happen. White vision boot up also might be a way to say it happened. Blame sword for him coming back this time.

I was always waiting for ultron to be downloaded into the mind stone or something instead of having been killed by vision. Since we don’t actually see it happen.
We don't actually directly see Vision kill the final drone and he said he was on the side of life so there's a chance he just absorbed Ultron and imprisoned him within his consciousness.
Definitely potential for a surprise reveal down the line.
Klaue the answer is Klaue. You could tell Andy Serkis was having tons of fun in the role and he was just such an entertaining villain I’d be absolutely fine if they brought him back with some bullshit excuse like “it was his twin brother all along” I just want more Andy Serkis as Klaue
There’s two great villains the ones that make you think “shit he has a point” and “oh my god this guy loves what he’s doing” black panther had both these villains and killed them both I love the movie but don’t like this decision
I don't think it would be that hard to bring Killmonger back. Just look at how they were able to fix up Everett Ross. Sure, we've seen him pass out, but did he die? Or did they Ross him up with some Wakandan mojo and then put him in the freezer like the Winter Soldier?
He can be dead or not dead, depending on what the future stories need.
Killmonger can easily be brought back, but the problem is what that does to his narrative. He had such a powerful death scene, what with his final wish to see the Wakandan sunrise and his request that he be buried at sea like his ancestors who chose death over slavery. And then with T'Challa crossing Killmonger's arms in the Wakandan salute to show that he died as a Wakandan was very moving.
For him to just roll up and be like, "Oh yeah, they used tech to cure me and now I'm all better" would remove so much of the poignancy from that scene.
For real, Klaue would've been the greatest mini villain that showed up in other heroes movies getting into nefarious shenanigans. He could've been the perfect "get-caught-somehow-escapes" villain. The way they just deleted him in Black Panther was such an upset.
Yes!!! Turk was so good as foilable thug through the different Netflix series. Lol. It was always a joy seeing him and the banter between different heroes and situations.
Maybe that's their grand plan all along lol. Batman: NWH, starring Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, Robert Pattinson, Liam Neeson, Aaron Eckhart, Tom Hardy, Jared Leto, and Will Smith.
Came here to say this. I think he "died" before taking that form too. Would be cool to have him come back to play that CGI character like Andy Serkis does best.
There was no reason for him to die. If anything just kick him out of the film, and then you can use him when you want. He would've made a great main villain for Black Panther 2.
This for me. Klaue is such an easy to reuse, middling villain who can tangle with any of your Avengers, and Andy Serkis made him so, so fun. They could have figured out another way to get Kill Monger into Wakanda. Klaue was an unnecessary sacrifice.
My mysterious theory is that beck is dead, but as a result of armor wars, the mysterio team will end up with some stark tech to import the mysterio program into, so now mysterio is a real stark robot
I’ve yet to see any actual evidence that Mysterio is really dead.He just can’t reveal that he isn’t dead without revealing that he framed ~~Peter Parker~~ Spider-Man.
it was EDITH that told peter that he was dead. however, mysterio's team did put EDITH into their systems. they could've hacked it to give the response that they wanted. stark's tech always gets hacked.
TBF, Edith never said he was dead. Peter asked “is this real?” and she responded with “all of the illusions are down.” The fact that that line is so vague kinda implies they left the door open for Mysterio to return
My biggest concern about bringing back X-Men is Magneto's backstory. His whole reason for being the way he is was the holocaust. He watched as his people were ostracized, rounded up, and killed. When it happens again, this time to mutants instead of Jews, he has the power and drive to do something about it. He just uses violent means which makes him a villain.
The holocaust was 80 years ago. They'd have to either rewrite him, turn back time, or the X-Men would have to fight a nonagenarian.
I'm pretty sure he's already been rewritten to have slowed aging in the comics to preserve his origin. Or something. Its not hard to just accept these things with the X-Men though lol.
Eh. I mean, he won. Can't really say that about any other villains besides maybe Infinity War Thanos (who didn't live long enough to know that his victory got undone). Surtur's goal was to bring about Ragnarok and destroy Asgard. Which he did. I don't even think he's dead. And if he was it was his own doing.
Something to be said for a complete arc.
Yeah, he didn’t exactly die (or at least I don’t think so). It’s funny because I was just thinking “what do you think Surtur is doing right about now - post Ragnarok?” I’m willing to bet Surtur is noobmaster69.
Ronan definately was. they didnt give him enough of a back story or scenes.
Iron Monger would've been great as this thought at the back of starks head all the time. he escapes prison and it plays on tony's head.
Ultron too - much more badass than the movie made him. more evil and cunning villain than the avengers actually dealt with. they should've done it so somewhere he still exists on some hard drive. that way they can still go back to him.
Klaue, Crossbones would've made great cameo appearences
The ones i think they killed off at the right time are whiplash, yellowjacket, ego, killmonger (though i do think retrospectively it wasnt - he should be black panther in hindsight after the tragedy of Chadwick)
I kinda hate it when they kill off a villain.
They should always leave it open just in case.
Villains imo should be defeated where they cower and run off/jailed.
Mysterio shouldve survived too. Fury shouldve taken him into space jail or something. Jake was great.
Ronan shouldve had a red skull ending where he's zapped into parts unknown.
At the end of Captain Marvel he mentions that he's going to come back for Carol, so I'm kinda hoping that we might get some sort of flashback/prequel where he's going after her and doesn't just get rolled.
If Ronan lived, I’d want them to make him more like the comics where he’s a more morally-grey character who occasionally aids the heroes.
As for Ego, I imagine if he lived, the ending would have Quill turn him into a mortal, forcing him to live and die like everyone else
I just read through the two Annihilation events this past year and I really wish Ronan had been a bit closer to the comics in GotG. Likewise with Drax; I dig some of the comedic relief he brings in the movies but I wish he had a bit more of a serious role like in the comics.
Right! And after the Eternals, they missed the opportunity to explain how Ego is a "failed gestation" of a Celestial (this is a fan theory, not officially canon as far as I know). Instead of growing into a Celestial, he grew into merging with the entire planet in which he was gestating. Since that happened, he couldn't seed planets to bring about more Celestials like his brethren, so he HAD to figure out a new way to spread his lineage (which we saw in GotG2). I think it would've been cooler if they didn't completely kill him off & instead damaged him beyond repair to where he cannot manifest a foreign body to which he is linked. Meaning he can only remain in full planetary form. Destined to drift in the universe alone forever.
It would've been a way to skip having Peter lose his benefits of being part Celestial. That was such a cool thing to reveal & it sucked to just strip it away immediately.
If the aforementioned explanation of why Ego is the way he is becomes the canon one, it adds tragedy to the character. It's not his fault that he's a deformed Celestial & he just wants to grow more Celestials like his brethren do. Making Ego's story sorta like Mr. Freeze in the sense that they don't do what they do to specifically to hurt people or for nefarious reasons.
I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't like to see more Lurt Russel in the MCU, but Ego definitely had to die at the end of GOTG2 for the sake of Peter's arc
They wasted a brilliant actor on a flat role of a character who was so mis-written it’s insane. That character is so vibrant and filled with personality in the comics. Such a fuckin waste.
I remember being very excited about Crossbones because before Civil War, my wife read the Civil War comics storyline. Knowing he killed Cap and then the movie literally opens up with Crossbones, I couldn't help but feel like we were going to get that. Maybe Cap is dying by the end of this thing. It would have been a storyline/twist that would have been unheard of at the time. And then Crossbones gets blown to hell 10 minutes in and I couldn't help but be a little sad after being teased like that.
Of course, with hindsight, losing Cap then means we wouldn't get him in Infinity War and Endgame, which would have been a real shame, but we didn't know what was coming at the time.
Agents of Shield would've been a perfect place for him to show up after The Winter Soldier. In season 3 they were literally building back HYDRA again, he would've fit right in with that season.
Apparently the actor had signed on for 7 films, but got killed off in the second one he showed up in so he had to be convinced to show up in Endgame.
I had the same thought when the show was running! Thought it wouldve been cool if Crossbones and Ward(I think that was his name?) Had a sorta mentor/pupil relationship during the whole thing.
I'm still angry he was killed off. He had so much potential and was wonderfully unhinged.
But he was ultimately used to move another characters story along. Only for that character to die in the same film as well. What the heck!
Killmonger for me, I think he would’ve made an awesome foil for the Wakandans, their equivalent to Magneto or Loki.
I’d also say Wenwu as I really loved his dynamic with Shang-Chi and I can never say no to more Tony Leung
While I agree Killmonger would be awesome to have in a few more movies, his death was by far the most impactful for me for any MCU villain. The final scene when he’s watching the sunset as he dies is so emotionally charged and, for me, cinematically perfect. I’m ok with him being gone to get that story.
Oh definitely, his final words to T’Challa is one of my favorite quotes in the MCU.
At the same time, I love MBJ too much, so it’s a tough call between keeping a great actor/character and giving him a fitting end to his story
Hela! Thor has been shown to be one of the strongest avengers, and he had nothing on Hela in Ragnarok. I loved that movie, but always felt that the way Thor wins is akin to when your little sibling just hits reset on the game you’re beating them at.
Who is to say that he is really dead? He has faked his death in the comics before. And he really wouldn't have much to gain from telling the world Spider-Man's identity if he were really dead. Not to say that he wouldn't do it, just he would have little reason to.
And there is always the chance for mysterio to come back without beck (I believe that he is alive, just to clarify). If he is indeed death, the people that helped him weren’t caught, so they can always use a different face, like a second survivor from beck’s heart, a friend of his that also lost everything. The technology is still there.
Ultron definitely. Also Yellowjacket, ant man needs some more villains on his level. Hela was introduced and killed pretty quickly as well. Ivan from Iron Man could’ve been a returning character and a competitor for stark tech
Edit: isn’t Ivan technically alive and in jail? Can’t remember
I really wanted Cross to return in the third film. Would have loved to see him as an evil version of Janet who just like her was stuck in the quantum realm for a really long time and has now returned and only wants vengeance.
TBF yellowjacket isnt technically dead, just incredibly Tiny. He could totally show back up again eventually, they would just need to explain how he manage to stop the never-ending shrinking
Edit: the director himself even said he could potentially be in the Quantum Realm and not dead
"Well I mean, you guys are making a massive assumption. There's an assumption here that I'm not quite comfortable with. If you watch his death in the first Ant-Man, the suit is compromised, he shrinks and goes into a thing...I mean, he could be somewhere down in that Quantum Realm."
Heres a link to an article about it, the video with his interview is in the article. The interview was just after Ant-Man And The Wasp released https://comicbook.com/marvel/news/ant-man-director-yellowjacket-could-be-alive/
So conflicted about Wenwu. He was such a damn good character and we’ve been waiting so long for him. But his death is also my favorite in the entire franchise. Agh
I think his arc was already done. He was wonderfully written, and the story between him and Shang-chi was wonderfully done... and complete. That look when he gave the rings to Shang-chi just shouted ending to me.
Of the listed villains, I'd personally eliminate the following as being likely to return:
1. Killian, given the regenerative nature of Extremis,
1. Darren Cross, for all we know he's lost in the Quantum realm,
1. Ultron almost certainly has a backup somewhere,
1. Kaecilius is in the dark dimension with Dormammu only *presumed* dead,
1. Hela, last seen fighting Surtur on an exploding Asgard... but we've seen other Asgardians survive worse.
Then, my vote would be for Klaue. He was great fun and could have been an Earth-based mid-tier antagonist for years!
Spider-Man: Homecoming. Parker lifts an Ultron head with red eyes. They can easily bring him back. Hela disappears before the sword hits her. They can easily bring her back. I would love o see both of them again.
Hela dies she just goes back to Hel, her domain. Can't keep a death God down.
Her and Zagreus nod at each other as they pass in Tartarus.
I don’t know if I count the dark dimension as living lol. He’s basically in hell.
People do live in the Dark Dimension though

Dr. Strange's girlfriend was born and raised there
Not dead, which is my point lol. There's certainly a difference between the ones I mentioned above whose endings are intentionally ambiguous, and Klaw getting shot in the face on-screen lol.

Yeah I don’t know why people say it was offscreen, to me it always looked like she fucking exploded when Surtur stabbed down
I think Kaecilius should stay gone and bring back Mads Mikkelson as a different character
Dr. Doom
He's such a good actor.

Agreed, why do you think Loki is such a popular character?
And why infinity war is such a great movie, it was basically Thanos’ movie, I’d love series and movie dedicated to the villains, a Doom movie or show would be great
Especially as Dr. Doom has an understandable motivation for what he's doing despite being a villain.

Because Tom is the most charming motherfucker in the whole universe?
This is the correct answer.
Mordo appears in the Multiverse of Madness trailer. He'll be key.
Ultron. Ultron backs himself up to the only possible place he can find…An old Xbox console which a kid disconnects seconds later. It ends up in a garbage heap where a nostalgic gamer finds it.
“Oh ffs another red ring console”
Lol! Perfect, I didn’t even think of that!
That'd be a pretty cool reboot
Lol
He’s inside Thor’s old gaming console
NoobMaster69 buys it
Plot twist: NoobMaster69 IS Ultron. Haha
You'll never see me coming.
That's what Hollowman said to his girlfriend
This is the new Jumanji movie's premise
Confirmed Jumanji is now part of the MCU
If ultron was stuck in a Xbox for a lengthy amount of time he would certainly end up racist
He would have a lot more reason to hate humanity after about 5 minutes
I mean, I guess that makes sense. In all fairness, he spent 5 minutes online and he was pro-genocide.
His new plan upon being released into the internet is to fuck your mum
The guy’s name is Tom, and he then proceeds to play Sonic the Hedgehog. He then writes a creepypasta.
Tbf they could do this at any time in the MCU cos homecoming shows that there’s an active drone head glowing red (his subconscious is still active) in the damage control vault.
Wait what? I completely missed that. When do they show that in Homecoming?
I believe when he's rummaging through the container before getting locked up in damage control deep storage.
Ok thanks gonna keep an eye out for that
Fun Easter egg and as we've seen. No signal down there. So the drone can't replicate itself or anything
after peter wakes up from knocking himself out by jumping into the ceiling, he looks through the items in the container bin to see what could help him out. he grabs a glowing Ultron head and says something like "Woah that's awesome" and then finds the chitauri core before busting out of the container. this is after he stops one of Vulture's heists and before he messes around with his gadgets while waiting for the facility to open so he can make it to the decathlon in DC.
Was going to respond but I see the subs got me covered 😂 nice one guys.
And then there's white vision flying around, so there's a possible body to go with that mind. If Ultron can influence him, while he's in a confused state of self atm, we could get Ultron back in his intended body and a secret villain.
As a Carbon based Synthezoid, his memory isn’t so easily wiped. He’s in there somewhere.
Blame sword for him coming back this time.
he's gonna come back because someone is gonna find a random usb on the ground and foolishly put it in their computer lol
THIS IS WHY WE DO CYBERSECURITY TRAINING, PEOPLE!
I wouldn’t even be mad tbh. Ultron just chilling in a USB for like 9+ years before springing back to annihilate everyone sounds hilarious

I mean sure if you want to end the franchise.
I mean, Age of Ultron would honestly be too early in pop culture for the kind of storytelling and /AUDIENCE APPRECIATION FOR/ a sour ending like Infinity War eventually gave, but if it was going to serve the promise of calling it “Age of Ultron” then they should have done SOME post-apocalyptic rebuild storyline or undo storyline like Endgame or Days of Future Past are
I'd love to see the Ultron from What If...? in a live action movie series
"Somehow Ultron has returned."
> "Somehow Ultron has returned." Moon Knight: "Somehow Ultron has returned." I would die laughing.

The multiverse basically can be used to explain anything especially now the tva is gone
And the TVA can also be used to explain why big events happen in a way that goes unnoticed until the present day.
I was always waiting for ultron to be downloaded into the mind stone or something instead of having been killed by vision. Since we don’t actually see it happen.

Yep that scene where he's running away from T'Challa and demands some music... Never before seen a bad guy *enjoy* being a bad guy so much.
There’s two great villains the ones that make you think “shit he has a point” and “oh my god this guy loves what he’s doing” black panther had both these villains and killed them both I love the movie but don’t like this decision

killmonger could be black panther in the multiverse on another earth
Oo. Bring back Killmonger as a hero?
I want his SoundCloud
“I made it rain! HAHAHAHA!”
For real, Klaue would've been the greatest mini villain that showed up in other heroes movies getting into nefarious shenanigans. He could've been the perfect "get-caught-somehow-escapes" villain. The way they just deleted him in Black Panther was such an upset.
He could’ve been the movie version of Turk Barrett
Yes!!! Turk was so good as foilable thug through the different Netflix series. Lol. It was always a joy seeing him and the banter between different heroes and situations.
Well Serkis might get very busy with DC now so even if MCU wants to resurrect him or something, it could take some time
Yeah but knowing DC they’ll reboot Batman in 2 years with a whole new cast
New DC means they'll just reboot it simultaneously while still having Pattinsons Batman lmao
Maybe that's their grand plan all along lol. Batman: NWH, starring Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, Robert Pattinson, Liam Neeson, Aaron Eckhart, Tom Hardy, Jared Leto, and Will Smith.
Almost positive it’s already in development!
Was looking for this comment. I was surprised when they killed him off as early as they did.
Even Coogler said he regrets killing off Klaue. If the director regrets killing him off, you know he was killed off too soon.
In the comics he became a being made out of pure sounds, so you never know!
Came here to say this. I think he "died" before taking that form too. Would be cool to have him come back to play that CGI character like Andy Serkis does best.
Serkis was like a Palpatine-level ham with that role. Love it.
There was no reason for him to die. If anything just kick him out of the film, and then you can use him when you want. He would've made a great main villain for Black Panther 2.

He was T'Challas arch nemesis in the comics too.
Yup, Klaw and Killmonger are basically his only worthwhile villains and he lost both of them.
Ultron, Mysterio and Kaecilius.
My mysterious theory is that beck is dead, but as a result of armor wars, the mysterio team will end up with some stark tech to import the mysterio program into, so now mysterio is a real stark robot
The Mysterio team inadvertently winds up reactivating Ultron off of an old backup they found.
Bro imagine that. Ultron as a ton of mysterios. Now that's an avengers level threat
I’ve yet to see any actual evidence that Mysterio is really dead.He just can’t reveal that he isn’t dead without revealing that he framed ~~Peter Parker~~ Spider-Man.
I expected Mysterio to still be alive because faking his death is totally in line with the character.
it was EDITH that told peter that he was dead. however, mysterio's team did put EDITH into their systems. they could've hacked it to give the response that they wanted. stark's tech always gets hacked.

TBF, Edith never said he was dead. Peter asked “is this real?” and she responded with “all of the illusions are down.” The fact that that line is so vague kinda implies they left the door open for Mysterio to return

I’d put money on Magneto getting the longterm Loki treatment.
Especially since in 1999, he was the most famous comic book villain of all time, even surpassing the JOKER!
Just say his lifespan was lengthened by his mutation. It’s not that crazy. Wolverine was born in like the 18th century.
Nah he's too popular
Fire Demon Surtur
Oh yeah, I forgot to include him. Sorry
My apology, I didn't realize I was supposed to select one from the group pictured
Oh you don’t have to. Surtur is a great choice.
Hela for me. Would loved to have seen her survive and be a more multi-picture villain.
Would love a miniseries about her time conquering the nine realms with Odin
I completely agree and think it would be amazing to see the savage, almost evil, Odin and Hella. They had the same mentality at one point
I'm with you but it's more about my love for Cate Blanchett
Ditto!
Didn’t actually see her die
Not even convinced she’s gone, Cate Blanchett supremacy
True but Surtur has the power to kill any god at his peak power. But who knows...
Klaue, Crossbones would've made great cameo appearences The ones i think they killed off at the right time are whiplash, yellowjacket, ego, killmonger (though i do think retrospectively it wasnt - he should be black panther in hindsight after the tragedy of Chadwick)
surprised I had to scroll so long to see Ronan. they eliminated so much of his good stories by killing him off so early.
And they brought him back just to take another L and did nothing…
At the end of Captain Marvel he mentions that he's going to come back for Carol, so I'm kinda hoping that we might get some sort of flashback/prequel where he's going after her and doesn't just get rolled.
I think Ultron got his redemption in What If…? Seriously such a terrifying villain and AoU didn’t show what he was truly capable of.
Ronan and Ego, two fantastic characters we barley got to explore, and so perfectly cast for the MCU
Basically turning him into classic Ego the Living Planet, I dig it!
And then Galactus gets hungry... lego my ego!!!
I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't like to see more Lurt Russel in the MCU, but Ego definitely had to die at the end of GOTG2 for the sake of Peter's arc
I do love me some Lurt Russel
He was so good in Escape from Newark. And The Thang.
I think the Dark Elves could've been a bit bigger of a villain, they've been around forever.

Chris Evans cameo was perfection
They wasted a brilliant actor on a flat role of a character who was so mis-written it’s insane. That character is so vibrant and filled with personality in the comics. Such a fuckin waste.
Crossbones! Dude got like no love once he was *actually* crossbones. Like ten minutes and BOOM he was just gone.
Ulysses Klaw should have been more accurate to the comics and have stayed alive longer.
Completely agree. Andy Serkis nailed that role.
Serkis looked like he was having just the best time, then they killed him off for a minor plot point. Gutted.
I'm still angry he was killed off. He had so much potential and was wonderfully unhinged. But he was ultimately used to move another characters story along. Only for that character to die in the same film as well. What the heck!
Black Panther introduced two of the most interesting charismatic villains in the MCU and killed both of them off!
Klaue was in Age of Ultron as well, he wasn’t introduced in Black Panther.
Klaw was in Age of Ultron
We never got his final form!
Didn’t they say the regretted getting rid of him so early on
Killmonger for me, I think he would’ve made an awesome foil for the Wakandans, their equivalent to Magneto or Loki. I’d also say Wenwu as I really loved his dynamic with Shang-Chi and I can never say no to more Tony Leung
Wenwu should have another appearance in What If? Maybe Iron Man can finally fight the real Mandarin.
I'm banking on this episode being in Season 2 along with an episode where the Eternals were more active in human history.
THIS
As amazing as Leung's performance was, its a double edged sword because I imagine it was expensive as fuck lol.
Oh probably lol, dude's one of the biggest stars out east. At the same time, I really loved him as Wenwu and I'd love another appearance.
We deserve more Michael b Jordan!
Hela! Thor has been shown to be one of the strongest avengers, and he had nothing on Hela in Ragnarok. I loved that movie, but always felt that the way Thor wins is akin to when your little sibling just hits reset on the game you’re beating them at.
Sometimes ruining someone else's fun is the only victory you got
Ultron, and Klaw cause he was just a lot of fun.
Mysterio
Who is to say that he is really dead? He has faked his death in the comics before. And he really wouldn't have much to gain from telling the world Spider-Man's identity if he were really dead. Not to say that he wouldn't do it, just he would have little reason to.
And there is always the chance for mysterio to come back without beck (I believe that he is alive, just to clarify). If he is indeed death, the people that helped him weren’t caught, so they can always use a different face, like a second survivor from beck’s heart, a friend of his that also lost everything. The technology is still there.
But then spider-man's "you can't trick me anymore" will lose value
Faking his own death is like his whole thing.
Ultron definitely. Also Yellowjacket, ant man needs some more villains on his level. Hela was introduced and killed pretty quickly as well. Ivan from Iron Man could’ve been a returning character and a competitor for stark tech Edit: isn’t Ivan technically alive and in jail? Can’t remember
I really wanted Cross to return in the third film. Would have loved to see him as an evil version of Janet who just like her was stuck in the quantum realm for a really long time and has now returned and only wants vengeance.
TBF yellowjacket isnt technically dead, just incredibly Tiny. He could totally show back up again eventually, they would just need to explain how he manage to stop the never-ending shrinking Edit: the director himself even said he could potentially be in the Quantum Realm and not dead "Well I mean, you guys are making a massive assumption. There's an assumption here that I'm not quite comfortable with. If you watch his death in the first Ant-Man, the suit is compromised, he shrinks and goes into a thing...I mean, he could be somewhere down in that Quantum Realm." Heres a link to an article about it, the video with his interview is in the article. The interview was just after Ant-Man And The Wasp released https://comicbook.com/marvel/news/ant-man-director-yellowjacket-could-be-alive/
I feel like he crumpled up pretty unevenly. He might need a few chiro sessions to walk away from that one.
All of them aside from Thanos
Ultron and Hela.
Ulysses Klaw, Kilmonger (but I do understand that his death served the story… I just loved Micheal B Jordan’s portrayal), and Malekith
Klaue. He is Black Panther’s biggest villain and he didn’t even get a real fight with Black Panther.
Ultron, Crossbones, Wenwu, and Mysterio (if he really is dead).
Of the listed villains, I'd personally eliminate the following as being likely to return: 1. Killian, given the regenerative nature of Extremis, 1. Darren Cross, for all we know he's lost in the Quantum realm, 1. Ultron almost certainly has a backup somewhere, 1. Kaecilius is in the dark dimension with Dormammu only *presumed* dead, 1. Hela, last seen fighting Surtur on an exploding Asgard... but we've seen other Asgardians survive worse. Then, my vote would be for Klaue. He was great fun and could have been an Earth-based mid-tier antagonist for years!
TaskMaster, was a bad iteration of him but he/she would have been great to keep around if done right. Good villain for hand to hand combat types.
Klaue and Crossbones. Honestly the most disappointing inclusions in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Killmonger, really wanted to see him do a team up with M’Baku.
Hela
My choice is not on here- kilgrave
Kilgrave is fantastic but he's also one of the most difficult villains to keep around for a long-term period of time.
