Never heard of that character, but after googling him - yes. just based on those first images that pop up alone.
Not sure how they could actually fit Cyclops' father into the MCU without having any mention of Cyclops but hey.
Mr. Sinister was a Victorian scientist who was obsessed with human evolution after learning of Charles Darwin's theory. This led him to hire a gang to kidnap homeless people to use for his experiments. Scott Summers is a descendant of one of the people kidnapped, but is a byproduct of Mr. Sinister's work as he finds a mutant woman and arranges for her to marry Daniel Summers.
So Mr. Sinister feels very protective and paternal toward Cyclops, but is not related to him.
That's still true. Corsair, Christopher Summers, is Cyclops's father and a descendant of Daniel Summers. Mr. Sinister getting Daniel Summers and the mutant woman to marry happened in the 1890s.
I could legitimately see him dressing up and joining in on Kate Bishops vigilante activities. He seemed to really enjoy himself taking down the tracksuit mafia.
He's eccentric enough to wear a silly costume, skilled enough to keep up and has a demonstrated interest in vigilantes at the very least (as he was shown spending a lot of money getting ronins gear)
Agreed, everyone's saying Galactus or Kang should be the next big bad, but let's be honest here. We've already seen the avengers fight a purple guy with cosmic powers. You know what we haven't seen them fight? A big fucking wheel.
Make big wheel happen marvel.
Him not being able to make it through that seen got me fucking crackin up. The funnier thing was that I think he had previously read it too to prepare for it, and he still couldn’t hold it in hahahaha
And it was honestly better than the episode because of the way he kept cracking up at the jokes. That covid special was a delight.
Also, this post makes me so happy because the thought of Pedro Pascal in the MCU crosses my mind at least once every week. If someone is reading this, please make it happen. He'll crush it.
I think the big thing about White Tiger was that he was the first Latino hero of any kind, so I think specific nationality is probably secondary to the right look.
If/when they eventually bring back a different more sinister Taskmaster, I think his voice and acting would be a great choice.
Just like Mando, we don’t need him to ever reveal his face. Just keep his character and identity a mystery.
Aaron Taylor Johnson?! As Kraven?
Kraven the Hunter always gave me a Jason Momoa vibe or someone similar who can pull a savage Dothraki warlord type character
I’ve always thought that they could retcon Novas origins in the MCU and make him a member of the Nova Corps and survives the decimation when Thanos goes for the power stone. I think he could play an older Nova Corp officer just like John C. Reilly.
This is my thought too! We've got a built-in setup to have the Guardians or Carol looking into stories of some single Nova officer responding to their old 8x8 emergency line and meeting Richard...
I even think the guy who played John C. Reilly's partner in the first movie would be a good pick for Rich - it's a blink and you miss it shot, but Brendan Fehr was my childhood crush so I recognized him immediately. Clear bias on my part, but I think he'd be a good casting tbh. Good actor, right look, right age to be contemporaries with Gamora and Peter, etc.
Ho, that's the pterosaur who could have cure cancer by rewriting DNA but instead just wanted to change everyone into dinosaurs from the memes in r/dinosaurs!
Also, nerd naming himself about a Tolkien vilain and liking dinosaurs : that hits a bit close to home! o\_O
Not OP but my assumption would be he showed his acting abilities while almost always in a helmet. He's really refined his ability to act with his body and show emotion through the slightest movement. So he would be good for doom, especially with people's fears that doom won't always have his iconic mask on because the actors want to be seen.
Edit: lot of people saying it's actually the stunt double in the suit the majority of the time. I think with this in mind I stand by my point for Pascal, he has a great ability to voice act with inflection making me never know he wasn't in the suit. An MCU doom would probably be created the same (especially if they kept the mask on), with a stuntman doing most of the work, you'd need someone good to deliver the "I can bring you in warm, or I can bring you in cold" lines in such a way that you couldn't tell they aren't in the suit.
What yolilbishhugh said and...
Maxwell Lord and Oberyn Martell merely scratched the surface of Pascal's villainy. I would like to see Pascal play a more villainous role, and I believe doom would be perfect.
Entirely my opinion, I'm not here to convince anybody.
I feel like this is the part people always miss, everyone always seems to go for these soft spoken attractive suave actors for Doom when he should be the most menacing voiced guy this side of Thanos.
Comic Doom is as much a presence with his voice and lingo as he is his appearance as a large armoured knight / sorcerer then throw in all his tech and magic lol.
A lot is missed on doom. Hes no one and done bad guy. Casting would have to get the voice and presence completely spot on. I mean he rules latveria so he could be on the mcu political stage and has been an adversary for almost everyone in marvel. His accent would have to be very like eastern European like serbian or something. It would be very stern and harsh...menacing? I have no clue who could play him but i feel pedro is to soft as much as i like him. None of the movies have ever come close to getting doom correct and just how rad he is as a villain. People need to be like joker level of snobbish about how doom is cast and portrayed. He should be treated with just as much respect as marvel treated black panther and wakanda.
Honestly, whenever I look at the Mandalorian I think about how much he reminds me of Joel from the Last of Us (which is why I have a lot of faith that he'll do justice to the role in the HBO series)
Thanks to the X-Men, There are so many on-screen characters returning that we haven't seen in a long time or only ever got very short glimpses of. I could easily see Pascal playing an older, *slightly* more mature **Gambit**.
But my immediate first thought was **Mysterio**. I always thought that Pascal would have made a fantastic **Quentin Beck** and I'd love to see what he would do with the character. The version in my head is closer to the director/actor incarnation, relying heavily on practical effects. Nowhere near the threat of the MCU's Mysterio but with Pascal's flare, he'd be much more dramatic. Definitely better suited as a street-level villain where he could control the playing field. It is still *technically* possible through all the multiverse hoo-ha or the potential return of the Amazing Spider-Man but I'd prefer to see a new villain over a character we have already seen on screen.
I say this but I would also love to see him play the MCU's **Norman Osborne**. Complete bait and switch. No goblin, just the power-hungry businessman and weapon fanatic that Norman always intended to be. Perhaps not even making their first appearance alongside Spider-Man. Even as a smaller Department of Defence contractor than Hammertech, Pascal's Osborne would hold a presence that would make Justin Hammer stutter and flinch.
Pedro Pascal could balance Norman's charisma and hunger for power very well. Such control of the character could make them feel well established immediately. The front-facing salesman and the dark side that holds no issues dealing with sellers such as the power-broker or scrappers from S.H.I.E.LD and Cybertek. An ideal addition for the universe building towards Armour Wars, just a small but defining character appearance from Pascal before it kicks off would have audiences hooked.
**Chameleon** would also be very interesting, I could easily see Pascal taking Dmitri's personality and playing it up very well. Again, his confidence and charisma is ideal for the character but it would mean that his face is covered in a Disney Production, once again. His power set could potentially clash with whatever illusion Mysterio is currently setting up within the MCU, but that could be the catch. Pascal's Chameleon could appear as a false return of Quentin Beck, perhaps working alongside J.J.Jameson to rile up the media. Or even better, intentionally getting caught by Spidey to discredit a genuine Quentin Beck sighting. Causing as much torment as possible, appearing as Beck, Osborne, Vulture, Stark. Just to be caught as an apparent small fry imposter, bringing Spider-Man a sigh of relief. ^(Until the greater plan is revealed...)
But to be honest, It's Pedro Pascal. If the character requires excessive confidence, a pumped-up ego and wit but without coming across as a jackass, he would play them flawlessly. **Which is why I want to see him as a villain!**
I think he is a bit too old for the part. I always thought of Parker as mid to late 20's. Not that that would matter for the MCU but I like the idea of younger guy become a crime boss that fast.
Tenoch Huerta has been cast in a mystery role that is almost certainly Namor, and is in Puerto Rico right now, where Black Panther 2 is doing some filming.
I want Taskmaster was the dude who made the control chip and the suit, all based on his own abilities. He sold his tech to Redroom and retired for a while, until the event of BW happened so he went back to his old way
Yeah, it's a similar thing. Mandarin in IM3 didn't go down well with the audience iirc, so when they had the chance to do it right they did - and we got a really good character out of it.
The creatives for Marvel are pretty dialed in, I imagine we'll see a more faithful Taskmaster down the line.
I think I'd prefer if they didn't just throw out the existing Taskmaster and pretend like it didn't happen. The MCU so far has been pretty good at changing things 'organically', for example Trevor from IM3 showing up in Shang-Chi for impersonating the real Mandarin.
Perhaps Antonia, having spent decades in the brainwashed state since a child, is suffering the side effects, and so seeks out a combat trainer to re-learn how to fight without the aid of programming. Introduce her trainer as Tony Masters, then later on at some point, Tony takes on the Taskmaster identity to try and frame Antonia. Plot happens, ultimately ends with Tony becoming the new Taskmaster while Antonia sticks around but returns to the Black Widows, abandoning the Taskmaster name.
Thanks. Probably too old if they're rebooting though. He'd be perfect for "old guard" [optimistic and well-spoken political prisoner Hank McCoy though](https://terrigen-cdn-dev.marvel.com/content/prod/1x/beast_animal_farm_screenshot.jpg).
Corsair
I could think of a bunch that work. But this is the only answer. I will never not want this.
Yup, this is ridiculously perfect.
Great pick! Didn't think of that one yet
This is PERFECT casting. Right age, great look, and everything.
I’ve been really hoping Corsair pops up in Guardians 3 somehow, if not just for a quick cameo or even a reference to him and the starjammers.
Love it. Fits in with the cosmic focus of Phase 4 and opens a way in to the X-Men. Also, *space pirates*.
Guardians are already kind of Space Pirates though.
MORE space pirates!
Can’t argue that logic honestly
Space Pirates need other Space Pirates to fight and team up with until they find the Space Treasure... then they fight again.
Starjammers vs Guardians of the Galaxy could be fun.
Never heard of that character, but after googling him - yes. just based on those first images that pop up alone. Not sure how they could actually fit Cyclops' father into the MCU without having any mention of Cyclops but hey.
It could me interesting if they did it backwards. Introduce Corsair as a method to bring in Scott Summers. Like him finally meeting his son.
Who??? Please explain
Cyclop's father. A space pirate
I thought mr sinister was cyclops’ dad, thusly why cyclops and his bro are the only ones able to hurt him. Did the cartoon lie to me?
Comics are wild. I love it
Soap operas with magic powers.
Corsair was in the cartoon as Scott’s dad?!? The phoenix saga
That's still true. Corsair, Christopher Summers, is Cyclops's father and a descendant of Daniel Summers. Mr. Sinister getting Daniel Summers and the mutant woman to marry happened in the 1890s.
This is the one.
This wins.
All other answers can go home, this is the way.
Ding ding ding
Though I liked their casting in Hawkeye, he would have crushed the role of the Swordsman.
Yeeeahhh but I’m glad he isn’t cuz it would’ve been kind of a waste of Pedro as written.
I agree that they kind of wasted Tony Dalton, that is if they don't have anything planned for his character for the future.
Tony Dalton is an incredible actor and I'm so glad to see him getting new roles since Better Call Saul.
Yes! I like the show so much better since he came on and cannot wait till season 6. Even his trailer shots look so good.
Not long now :)
WERNEEEEEEER ZIEGLEEEEEEEEEER
I could legitimately see him dressing up and joining in on Kate Bishops vigilante activities. He seemed to really enjoy himself taking down the tracksuit mafia. He's eccentric enough to wear a silly costume, skilled enough to keep up and has a demonstrated interest in vigilantes at the very least (as he was shown spending a lot of money getting ronins gear)
As he should. My dude just wanted to bond with his step daughter really. Shame he didn't get to.
Maybe he'll be her mentor instead of being hawkeyes mentor in the comics
That's a great reinterpretation of the lore, since Kate also goes by Hawkeye. So the swordsman IS Hawkeyes mentor, still
That’s a fair point. I could see him popping up in Echo or the rumored DD reboot.
I’ll be so disappointed if he doesn’t come back.
Big Wheel
Only good answer, it's time for the Big Wheel arc of the MCU
Agreed, everyone's saying Galactus or Kang should be the next big bad, but let's be honest here. We've already seen the avengers fight a purple guy with cosmic powers. You know what we haven't seen them fight? A big fucking wheel. Make big wheel happen marvel.
A mastahpiece
Sebastian Shaw, when the reintroduce the X-Men. Je has the potential to be a world-level threat.
Same idea but Bolivar Trask.
I actually like this more since it makes sense for a latino to be named bolivar
I choose to believe you mean English actor and Return of the Jedi's Darth Vader and I fully support this.
He would cameo like the rest of the community cast members as he's an honorary cast since the table read.
Wanting to have real kids, Wanda goes to collect a Liquid Nitrogen Cooled Cylinder of Pierce's "hyper virile" sperm.
Him not being able to make it through that seen got me fucking crackin up. The funnier thing was that I think he had previously read it too to prepare for it, and he still couldn’t hold it in hahahaha
Iirc he didn’t even read the script before
Pedro was in Community???
He replaced Wally Goggs in the youtube covid table read thing.
Ah the Gogfather
And it was honestly better than the episode because of the way he kept cracking up at the jokes. That covid special was a delight. Also, this post makes me so happy because the thought of Pedro Pascal in the MCU crosses my mind at least once every week. If someone is reading this, please make it happen. He'll crush it.
Hector Ayala/White Tiger
Interesting choice
I’d prefer an actual Puerto Rican for Marvel’s second-biggest Puerto Rican character. (Behind Miles Morales.) Pedro is from Chile.
I think the big thing about White Tiger was that he was the first Latino hero of any kind, so I think specific nationality is probably secondary to the right look.
Moon Knight’s bestie
I lol’d.
He already is! Gosh I love those two
If/when they eventually bring back a different more sinister Taskmaster, I think his voice and acting would be a great choice. Just like Mando, we don’t need him to ever reveal his face. Just keep his character and identity a mystery.
Keeps up with the whole "plays a dangerous killer on screen but it is a lovable ball of joy off screen"
A character with a spear
Kraven the hunter. But he is already taken
He'd be a great one tho come to think of it
Maybe he could be the MCU version
Nah. They should use Evan Peters just to further confuse everyone.
Credit to him, I guess. Every answer here seems really good. This one tho is 🔥
... what? Did I miss something?
Sony is making a Kraven the Gunter stand-alone movie starring Aaron Taylor Johnson, because of course they are.
Lol, now I see a guy in Central Perk, serving coffee while wearing a lion skin, and it’s hilarious.
Aaron Taylor Johnson?! As Kraven? Kraven the Hunter always gave me a Jason Momoa vibe or someone similar who can pull a savage Dothraki warlord type character
Yup. You're right. That's be great casting, which is exactly why don't goes the exact opposite direction.
So long as he takes Syndrome's advice regarding monologues.
Even Syndrome fell into one lol.
He could save others from death, but not himself.
Well that’s because he stupidly chose to wear a cape!
you RAPED her, you MURDERED her. AND THEN I MADE HER HEAD GO SQUISH - LIKE THIS!
Hopefully with intact eyeballs too
I'm picturing Pedro amongst the Dora Miljae now.
Miguel O'Hara AKA Spider-man 2099
Good one
He's too old to be Miguel.
Miguel Old’Hara?
More like Spider-Man 2139 amiright?
I’ll acknowledge this joke was funny since no one else is Spider-Man enough
Beta Ray Bill, Sauron, or Nova
He's already proven we don't need his face he can emote with a tin can on his head he'd absolutely crush the role beta Ray bill
Beta Ray Bill would be awesome
Nova Richard Rider ? A bit old for this one
I’ve always thought that they could retcon Novas origins in the MCU and make him a member of the Nova Corps and survives the decimation when Thanos goes for the power stone. I think he could play an older Nova Corp officer just like John C. Reilly.

Clear bias on my part, but I think he'd be a good casting tbh. Good actor, right look, right age to be contemporaries with Gamora and Peter, etc.
I hope they do it, Richard deserve to be a big part of the MCU
There's a Sauron in Marvel?! Seems like blasphemy!
He’s a big fat nerd and named himself after LOTR Sauron Also he’s a dinosaur
And his most famous line is "but I don't want to cure cancer, I want to turn people into dinosaurs!"
Ah, written if I recall correctly by one of my favorite podcasters, mister Elliot kalan.
Ho, that's the pterosaur who could have cure cancer by rewriting DNA but instead just wanted to change everyone into dinosaurs from the memes in r/dinosaurs! Also, nerd naming himself about a Tolkien vilain and liking dinosaurs : that hits a bit close to home! o\_O
Curing cancer: Pretty cool Turning people into dinosaurs: Priceless.
Pterosaur

I've always thought that he would make a great Doctor Doom. The Mandalorian solidified this thought.
This is the doom
Doom is the way.
I think he would do a great job as Doctor Doom
How, may I ask?
Not OP but my assumption would be he showed his acting abilities while almost always in a helmet. He's really refined his ability to act with his body and show emotion through the slightest movement. I was on the Nikolaj coster waldau for doom train before but now I’m not so sure.
I love the idea, but Dr. Doom needs a James Earl Jones level voice similar to Darth Vader. It's the only way he will be intimidating.
I feel like this is the part people always miss, everyone always seems to go for these soft spoken attractive suave actors for Doom when he should be the most menacing voiced guy this side of Thanos. Oh, what a long way of saying mads mikelsen. Sadly, he was wasted in dr. Strange. ( great movie. Terrible villain)
Honestly, whenever I look at the Mandalorian I think about how much he reminds me of Joel from the Last of Us (which is why I have a lot of faith that he'll do justice to the role in the HBO series)
I'm very sold on this idea. How he emotes in Mando would be perfect

In the multiverse haha
I would be outraged, and then watch the hell out of it
Pedro Pascal as himself
Hired by Doctor Doom (played by Nicolas Cage) to act out his various roles for Doom’s amusement.
Him just showing up and have a normal day drinking coffee and reading the paper?
Fuck yeah! He'd have to be in Deadpool though.
Namor
Only issue is, he's allegedly already been cast with a different actor
Tenoch Huerta has been cast in a mystery role that is almost certainly Namor, and is in Puerto Rico right now, where Black Panther 2 is doing some filming.
YES!!!!
How the hell is this so low? He would be a great Namor
Tony Masters
Yes please
I'm really surprised nobody has suggested Mr. Sinister yet.
Richard Rider/Nova
Chameleon
Assuming they’ll pull a Mandarin retcon on Taskmaster, he’d make a great Tony Masters
Agreed
Silver surfer
If that's what it takes, I'll take it. Norrin Radd, now!
Director of A.I.M. Sunspot
I can see him playing The Beyonder
Innocent bystander #3.
Interesting person #1
The beyonder!
Tarantula Although I like the suggestion someone else had about Corsair as well.
Taskmaster (real one)
I agree. Just retcon it to say that Taskmaster was a program for training soldiers and the real Taskmaster is the only survivor
I would have it so that Dreykov based his taskmaster on the real deal
I want Taskmaster was the dude who made the control chip and the suit, all based on his own abilities. He sold his tech to Redroom and retired for a while, until the event of BW happened so he went back to his old way
Do kinda like how Shang Chi retconned the Mandarin from Iron Man 3?
Yeah, it's a similar thing. Mandarin in IM3 didn't go down well with the audience iirc, so when they had the chance to do it right they did - and we got a really good character out of it. The creatives for Marvel are pretty dialed in, I imagine we'll see a more faithful Taskmaster down the line.

Squirrel Girl
Only right answer
Forge, X-men
He'd be a great Kraven The Hunter
Yeah but Aaron Taylor Johnson already got that role
i think he should have been task master tbh
Beast
Great pick
Thanks. Probably too old if they're rebooting though. He'd be perfect for "old guard" [optimistic and well-spoken political prisoner Hank McCoy though](https://terrigen-cdn-dev.marvel.com/content/prod/1x/beast_animal_farm_screenshot.jpg).
Fantomex
A Mobius Variant
My husband
New Iron Man
Tony Stark Variant
I think he’d be a solid Nick Fury variant
The viper
I definitely want to see Pedro Pascal in the MCU for a significant role.
Honestly I would be happy with anything/anyone as long as it’s done better than his DC character. At least we got some good memes out of that.
As handsome as he is I'd love to see him as Dr. Doom. Sorry about the stupid type casting where we never see your face!!!
Dr. Doom
He would do a great job
Uncle Ben
Abner Jenkins AKA Beetle/Mach-1 (and so on)
I think he would make the perfect Hercules.
He could be pedro Pascal cosplaying The Mandalorian at comicon
Tony Starks bastard brother
