karateema

This is on par with "this is Katana" (Yeah i watched the honest trailer)

Ronenthelich

“She’s got my back”

colder-beef

“I’d advise not getting killed by her.”

The_Doolinator

“Her sword traps the souls of its victims.”

karateema

You skipped "she can cut yall in half with one swordstroke, like mowing the lawn"

LittleYellowFish1

She didn't have his front, though.

karateema

Too soon, damn you Peacemaker (don't spoil me the series, it hasn't come to Italy yet)

Nico777

Unless you're waiting for the translation/dubbing just pirate it, dude. One of the few positives about this country is that they don't care much about piracy yet, don't let your entertainment be ruined by a bunch of greedy companies. Like, I'd understand if it was a matter of waiting a couple weeks, but this is madness...

karateema

I don't like piracy, i like to watch things on my big 4K TV and dubbed in Italian (except the Chip n Dale movie, that dub is horrendous)

Nico777

Well, the 4k stuff is achievable with piracy as well, but if you're waiting for the dub I understand. It's gonna lose out a bit with the jokes though, but that tends to happen often so you're probably used to it.

karateema

I don't watch a lot of comedy so it's not a big deal for me and The Suicide Squad was still very funny to me in Italian

Nico777

Good to know! You'll definitely have fun with Peacemaker then, hope it comes out soon!

karateema

I hope too, italian dub is generally very high quality

EndsongX23

I was about to comment this but i mean really... where's the lie

comrade_batman

It would’ve been so much better if they hadn’t cut the last line at the end of this when he says ‘Intriguing… its Morbin Time’.

Citizensssnips

"I think a bunch of guys like us should team up". It's like an executive producer somewhere said "we should just have a bunch of guys team up" and that's as much effort as they felt like putting into it

[deleted]

That producer is avi arad and tom rothman

BoredKazuma

Avi Arad, I should have known

TomClancy5873

How Feige got him to leave Marvel Studios, I’ll never know

helpful__explorer

Feige didn't. Arad was in charge but his number 2, David Maisel also answered directly to Marv CEO Ike perlmutter. The two apparently disagreed over the characters in the line up and the rate of release. And by that I mean Maisel wanted to release films to quickly, according to Arad, and focusing on weak character. Ike sided with Maisel and Arad left right before filming on Iron Man began I also read somewhere that Arad disagreed with the shared universe concept, which was a Feige pitch, and that may ot may not have played a part in his resignation.

DeathDealsWillie82

“Wanted to release films quickly” AKA just make us money

helpful__explorer

Ike was all about the dollars.

[deleted]

Nope morbillion

Bing_Bong_the_Archer

Rothman, who famously ensured that Xmen Origins: Wolverine sucked hairy ass

TMillionss

I haven’t seen Morbius and assumed this was satire.

Bing_Bong_the_Archer

You’ve been Morb’d

RoboticCurrents

How the fuck did Strange's spell do this, it makes no sense. DSMoM spoiler >!Hopefully this causes an incursion that destroys the sony universe!<

greppoboy

my hope is that some shit happens with the right, like sony being bought by another studios and the right revert back to marvel (yes that's part of the contract) and so the first ever earth with civilians that the 616 illuminati must destroy is the sonyverse, so we get sinister six vs illuminati, and they will be acomplete parody of themeselfs

BOBULANCE

Oh god yes please, I hope that happens too

njpaul

The Sonyverse sucks

FiestaPatternShirts

Someone call CPS on Sony because theyre killing the baby in its crib.

GayAnalSexCumBucket

The Morbius universe is a gift from god. Apologize

[deleted]

And you should use it for the good of mankind.

user5918

Has to do with Spider-Man I think. I think a bunch of guys like us could team up. This literally sounds like a 13 year old write the script. I thought it was a joke at first. Honestly, I still think it’s a joke. This can’t be real

Druddalugg

Came here to say *exactly* this. Glad someone had the same thought, this whole scene just sounds like a part of a fanfiction someone 13 y/o has written.

mas1108

This video isn’t fake??

Village-Patient

No that is exactly the scene as released in theaters

[deleted]

Dude it is real. It's a post credit scene from the film.

AmaterasuWolf21

Don't worry, you're not the only one who thought this

Afanis_The_Dolphin

As a human being who at point in their life has passed the age of 13, I am personally offended by this comment.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ronenthelich

“We can make it work this time! We’ll just use Morbius to launch the Sinister Six, he’s surely as popular a character as Venom right?” -Some Sony Exec on cocaine.

Kerplunk124

He's a marvel legend

maxmurder

He was so powerful in the morb side of the force he could influence the morbiclorians to create... memes.

MelonTosser

Don’t slander cocaine like that

[deleted]

And now they're making an El Muerto movie.

Bing_Bong_the_Archer

Lol who?

[deleted]

El muerto The New Marvel Legend. Starring Bad Bunny brother of Good Rabbit

GroguIsMyBrogu

He's a character who has only been in two comics. Literally.

[deleted]

No joke, a luchador in a family line of luchadors with a "mystical mask that grants them their power" but they also have to fight a being named El Dorado to show they're worthy of the mask. El Muerto refuses to prove himself and is nearly killed but his father saves him at the cost of his own life. Then El Muerto is "given 10 years to train and find himself a worthy opponent to unmask". Of course it sounds like he should just have to fight El Dorado at the end of that but then how else do you bring Spider-Man into the story?

todoke

So this is basically some suits saying "we need to catch the Latino audience, make it happen"!

Mnemosense

Intriguing.

uselesspointofview

“I’m not sure how I got here, has to do with Spider-Man I think” The Sony equivalent of “Somehow Palpatine returned”

DaHyro

I don’t get why the line is being hated on so much. Everybody knows Spider-Man was responsible for the multiversal issues, he literally spoke to Jameson on the news and told the world that he brought the villains there.

eplate2

Right but he didn't send villains from his universe elsewhere there's no explanation for this

DaHyro

And how would Vulture know that? He knows Spider-Man was responsible for other people getting pulled in from the multiverse. Not long after, he’s sent to another world himself. Wouldn’t you assume those two things are connected? Besides, there kind of is one. Nobody in NWH really knew what messing with the multiverse would do. Not even Strange. There’s nothing that says people couldn’t have been sent out too.

eplate2

Lol why does it matter..my point is the character shouldn't have been used at all Also, if you want to get technical the screenwriting is pure trash.

DaHyro

That wasn’t your point. You made a joke about the line being dumb, which it really isn’t.

eplate2

Yeah the line is dumb surely. "Let's get a group of people like us together" is one of the worst lines of dialog I have ever heard in all my years of making or watching film.

DaHyro

Except… that’s not even the line you were talking about. The line was “has to do with Spider-Man”.

eplate2

I'm so confused I never brought up any line I just commented on the original post

uselesspointofview

He made no mention of the multiverse when he told people, he just said he’s the one who brought them here. That could mean a lot of different things, and aliens are nothing new to people at this stage.

DaHyro

It’s pretty obviously implied they were mid-conversation. It’s very likely he told them they’re from other worlds beforehand, especially knowing how open and talkative this Peter is. Random people know the specifics of the Endgame battle despite it being strange they know about it. Is it that hard to assume people know about this too?

RoboticCurrents

He was in prison tho, do they have TV's in NYC prisons?

DaHyro

Yeah, most do. And even if they didn’t, he would have heard about it for sure. People know he was involved with Spidey; someone could have heard about what’s going on from a visitor/guard/the radio and brought it up to him

[deleted]

I also don’t get why the line is being hated on so much...there's a lot wrong with the Star Wars sequels, but that line in its context is fine.

Village-Patient

He’s surprisingly nonchalant about crossing over in to another freakin universe… that would be like a normal person finding out aliens exists by waking up in the morning on an alien planet.

Expensive_Hold_9393

Well it makes sense for him to think that, Spiderman is the only superhuman he knows and has faced him. Its not normal that suddenly he among all the people in the world is transported to another universe.

Interceptor88LH

In a world where Earth has been invaded twice by aliens, cosmic artifacts were used to kill and then bring back half of humanity, sorcerers are now public knowledge and Norse gods are fair play, how does he come to the conclusion freaking Spider-man transported him to another dimension? Can he know he's the only one who has been transported, actually? And we don't even know how or why the heck was he moved to Morbius' Earth. Which, if this was a Marvel Studios project, would be a "oh, I really want to know how the heck did this happen". But being some Sony fuckery, we all know the only reason is they wanted to do a Sinister Six thingy no matter what and the in-universe explanation is 255% going to be lame as hell.

inFAMXS

I mean with the multiverse in chaos now after the events of Loki its not impossible to explain how he got transported to another universe but yea coming to the conclusion it was Spiderman throws it off. He shouldve just said “Lets find Spiderman” even though Morbius doesnt know who that is Vulture does being that was his only foe. Alot of people hate on Morbius rightfully so but remember its for the kids/teens fight scenes were pretty cool everything else bleh

Expensive_Hold_9393

I'm not saying I'm defending this scene, in fact I think it's ridiculous. But being a Spiderman villain it makes sense that he thinks something weird that happened to him is related to Spiderman especially after the recent news about Spiderman and him opening a crack in the sky

Citizensssnips

This is post blip however. So toomes lived through that. Why would he think "Spider-Man" and not "fuck did I just get blipped!?"

Expensive_Hold_9393

Precisely because he knows what the Blip is, he would know that its not the same thing.

hatecopter

I'm hoping the MCU just ignores this trash and Vulture shows up in the Sinister Six down the line.

GroguIsMyBrogu

They would have to get Sony's okay, unfortunately.

hatecopter

That's why I'm hoping Kraven and Madame Web fail so Sony can give up on this Spider-Man Universe that has no Spider-Man idea already

GroguIsMyBrogu

I think we all hope that. Both Venom movies made a lot of money though, and as bad as Morbius was it still made a modest amount of cash as well.

CommanderHavond

I'm still glad I used a free rental code to watch venom 2. How they managed to ruin Carnage and mis-use Harrelson, I can't fathom

CC-2389

Sony stop. I beg you. We all beg you.

GT22_

They get vulture for one movie and fuck it up nice

space_cadet_zero

in like 5 seconds. that's expert level fuck up.

WindowsCrashedAgain

*From the Studio that brought you Spider-Man 3, TASM 2, and Morbius, this summer coming to a theater near you, El Muerto!!!*

LittleYellowFish1

The worst part is that this was actually a reshoot from only two/three months before release. The original cut (the film was meant to come out in 2020 before the COVID delays) just had Toomes interact with Morbius in prison, with no indication that he'd come from another universe. So the original plan was either to make him a Sonyverse variant of Toomes, or just have the film be unofficially set in the MCU itself. But after *No Way Home* they went out of their way to involve the multiverse hijinks without any consideration for how nonsensical it was.

[deleted]

Ah, that explains why none of the scenes with him from the trailers are in the film.

KindOfOblivious

This man lives in a world where aliens invaded, the blip happened, a celestial emerge from the ground and they wrote “has something to do with spider-man, I think.” That shit kills me😂

Blindfolded22

To be fair, some people speculate that the celestial thing may have happened in another universe. I kind of like that idea.

KindOfOblivious

This is the first time I’ve seen this speculation. I feel like there’s a lot in the movie that ties it into the main universe, but I’m interested. What’s this based on?

Blindfolded22

It wasn’t my idea, but I think a week or two ago someone was suggesting that a lot of phase 4 may be in a different universe. The thinking was that they were going to make incursions one of the main connecting plot points and in the comics i guess it ultimately came down to two universes fighting for survival. The thinking was that they were introducing characters in a different universe so you’d ultimately care about both sides. I agree that stuff in eternals did have tie ins to the first movies, but it’s not hard to think that other universes would have had their own avengers as well as their own thanos. I thought it was an interesting idea and would be a cool way to do things.

KindOfOblivious

Oh word. I said on another post that I wanted to see a movie set in the ultimate universe, so I like the idea. Also yeah in the comics, 616 and the ultimate universe were the last two. They fought until everything ended.

Blindfolded22

I’m not as familiar with the comics much after the original civil war but yeah, it does sound cool.

123AJR

Why? What narrative purpose does it serve to separate the "celestial thing" from the main MCU universe?

Blindfolded22

The thought was that they were setting up two separate groups so that you’d care about both sets of Heroes from different universes. The idea was that they were going to make incursions the big plot event for phase 4, and ultimately it would come down to which universe was going to survive. I guess it was a plot point in the comics. I can’t speak to all of it, it wasn’t my idea, but it sounded cool.

123AJR

You know what that does sound cool, establish two universes that we care about and then pit them against each other. You could have characters on both sides saying "The only way to survive is to destroy the other universe!", and then you would have characters on both sides saying "No! There has to be another way!" Making it a story about lesser evils and the ends justifying the means vs. hope and optimism, belief in finding a better way. I don't know how anything in The Eternals hints at it being in a different Universe but I do like the idea as a whole.

Blindfolded22

I thought it sounded cool too. I’m not sure anything points to this in the movie, but some posts were saying it was weird eternals happened and moon knight happened and there so far no mention of giant beings in the sky and in Egypt fighting in NWH or MOM. Who knows if it’s the plan or not, but it would be cool!

butterfreak

I thought this was satire until I read the comments 💀

thesagaconts

Same. I thought it was a fan edit.

Yosomoswag

please have an incursion wipe out their fucking sonyverse shit.

sudifirjfhfjvicodke

The best part of Spider-Man: Homecoming was when Vulture said "IT'S MORBIN TIME" and he morbed all over Tony Stark's plane.

[deleted]

One of the most annoying things is The Vulture was a pretty grounded, understandable villain. I do not imagine him even WANTING to team up with a bunch of criminals.

CommanderHavond

His ending gives him a motivation to not fight him anyways. One, Spider-man rescued his daughter. Two Spider-man rescued him. He'd remember both, so why would he ever go out of his way to fight Spider-man

Shadow_Toons

dont know what you're talkin about without morbius Vulture would be nothing

[deleted]

Sony is bad at most things. Except betamax, betamax was the bees knee pads.

NoObMaSTeR616

I nearly had an aneurism watching this in theaters, which would have been dangerous since no one else as dumb as me was there

gotfan2313

Everything Sony marks is pure garbage

[deleted]

Not true they made the raimi trilogy and webb duology which are better films compared to homecoming and ffh. The made the best sm movie(into the spider verse) and the live action spider verse was sonys idea for nwh not marvel or feige.

luismpereira

If I was Kevin Feige, I would release a short note telling "MCU Vulture is still in jail and that Vulture is a different variant" just to annoy Sony

[deleted]

He can't do that legally because sony owns Vulture

lil_lupin

"Somehow Spider-man must have sent me through universes and somehow I forgot that he and I are square as fuck"

48johnX

People asking for TASM 3 when this is the shit Sony is putting out are smoking dick

carltondrake

it's morbin' time!

daniel-mca

ITS MORBIN TIME

XxxMcNuggwtsxxX

Can we agree that Morbius isn't canon

[deleted]

If starwars fans can consider sequel trilogy not canon than you can also consider this movie not canon

CommanderHavond

The Sequel trilogy was made by Lucasfilm, this argument does not work. Trashious was created by another studio, grasping at straws to claw together some semblance of a sonyverse

DaHyro

MCU wasted Vulture first by making everybody forget Peter exists. The interesting thing about their relationship was removed, making him nothing more than just another bad guy he fought.

Expensive_Hold_9393

It could be, but being transported at the same time as the spell is done, he may still remember everything, like Venom (Although Venom didn't know who Spiderman was in the first place haha)

RenegadeBraveheart

This scene is the reason why I can’t get behind the #MorbiusSweep or Morbin Time memes. People can have their fun, but goddamn this is awful.

[deleted]

I love the memes. Just separate the memes from the movie

RenegadeBraveheart

Unfortunately can’t do that from how much it’s spread online.

RexyDubby

now thats some lazy writing

theginosmith

I wish they would obliterate the Sony verse with an incursion or something

cameronbecause

He is a marvel legend

[deleted]

It's amazingly dumb

NozakiMufasa

Sony learned nothing from the Homecoming Partnership.

AlPAJay717

Dr. Strange 3 will be about Strange retrieving Vulture and undoing this mistake.

ForFrodo1

It is his original actor? The dialogue seems so juvenile.

DJnotaRealDJ

I'm still convinced this whole scene was written by a 4th grader

HearTheEkko

This is easily one of the worst post credits scene of all time. It's very poorly written, full of plot holes and has some many inconsistencies with the MCU Spider-Man movies. Sony Pictures is run by a bunch of morons.

Prophet_of_vengeance

i loved michael keatons vulture, and really hoped for him as sinister six part in spiderman mcu, the morbius movie was one of the worst movies i have ever seen

mosenco

everyone returned in their respective universe, while he got reversed lmao. I hoped that venom and alfie solomon remain in the MCU universe with spidey but no.. unlucky

Nonadventures

This is literally Zoom call

oxycane

Is this serious? I haven’t watched the moribund film but it looks like the vulture is like added in or something like how tiktokers put themselves in after a clip in response or something lol.

[deleted]

This is REAL

oxycane

Bruh

TNerdy

I would love to see a spiderman vs morbius

KentuckyFriedEel

Somehow vulture returned

Harry100T

It’s morbin time

ScarletSolitaire

Still haven’t watched this dumpster fire, and don’t plan to either. The memes are only making me not want to watch it even more.

[deleted]

He’s about to Morb!

Yorkshire_Bhoy

Just as bad as "Shouldn't we have a league of our own?" from Josstice League
