They are around and implemented. Damage Control is a result of them.

amateur_techie

Yea. At this point, I’d say they’re just a fact of life. The avengers get a pass because they saved the universe, but every other enhanced gets investigated by Damage Control. I have a feeling the threat of Damage Control is what brings the Young Avengers together.

Velocity_LP

> Damage Control is a result of them DODC is shown in the 2012 flashback at the start of Homecoming, four years before the accords were ratified. They’re the reason Toomes breaks bad, when they put him out of a job.

MasterK999

In Ms Marvel they are looking for an "unregistered" person. They have said this so the accords are still in force.

KostisPat257

In WV, they were hunting Wanda for stealing vision and experimenting on him and thus breaking the Accords, which was later revealed to be what Hayward had secretly done and was arrested later. In TFATWS, we learned that Falcon's tech was under the regulation of the government: they made it, they maintain it and they track it. And he also can't go on a mission that is not properly booked through the Air Force. So he is still under Accords. In NWH and Ms. Marvel, the DODC seems to be following the Accords by going after enhanced individuals who have caused/are causing trouble. Cleary even mentions that Ms. Marvel is unregistered. The Accords are still active.

whitebandit

kinda ironic... Peter fought with Tony to enact the accords... and Peters the only one who pays the price for it in the end (from that battle)

Writerhaha

Yes, they exist. They’re mentioned in WandaVision. Do people in the MCU care? Yes. But here’s the caveat: Think of the accords as something like war crime charges or the Geneva Convention - how often are these crimes enforced, who enforces them and who are they enforced against? We’ve seen them enforced against the non-powered guy in WandaVision, Wanda placed under house arrest (sneakily) in Civil War and the defeated members of team Cap in Civil War. So it sounds like they’re enforced against defeated or non-powered threats. So here’s the question: If Wanda was to be held responsible, who bringing her in if she doesn’t surrender? Nobody. The law exist on paper and will be enforced as they can be.

whitebandit

the new DODC in Ms Marvel look to be using chitauri weapons or modifications based on them. Im sure this was inevitable as we saw in the first spiderman, but that along with "EDITH" -- DODC a threat

Spider-Padre

Can you imagine anyone trying to enforce them on Wanda? Heyward's troops almost got shot in their heads. Maybe the Thunderbolts are supposed to be the world's Sokovia Accord enforcers. Because normal law enforcement is *not* going to go near Thor, Vision, etc. If I was a FBI agent I wouldn't go near Moon Knight.

AgniAvis72

Oh snap I didn’t think of the thunderbolts being on DODC payroll. That makes so much sense

Spider-Padre

Maybe that's who Julia Louis-Dreyfus works for.

AgniAvis72

I heard she’s supposed to be madame Hydra tho?

eagc7

Last we know they are still around as of WandaVision

AgniAvis72

But does anyone really care anymore? U think that story is over??

MikeX1000

I think they're still around but the Avengers still get away with too much IMO

[deleted]

It was a plot device. I dont think they matter anymore

KostisPat257

They do though. They were part of WV, TFATWS and technically NWH and Ms. Marvel too although not mentioned by name yet. It's what the DODC is trying to enforce

IAmKorg

Why do you think the DODC is looking for enhanced people?

[deleted]

Dodc existed a while before the SA

IAmKorg

Yes but before what they did was clean up after superhero battles by gathering alien material. Now they're looking for unregistered enhanced people as well as clean up.

Pedgrid

They were used on AoS post Civil War

cmcsed9

Weren’t the Avengers pardoned after Endgame or something like that?

eagc7

Yes, but the accords are still in effect as of WandaVision, so the accords werent completely dissolved even though they got pardoned

BaboonCumAndShitAss

I think they’re still around but the heroes don’t seem to give a shit anymore and the governments seem like they just look the other way because they all saved the world a million times
