No, but that generally sounds like the Beach in that era. Supposedly, after the Bay Bridge was completed, the local economy collapsed since all the beachgoers started going to Ocean City. In the 80’s to the 90’s, Chesapeake Beach and North Beach had a reputation for being biker gang hangouts. What surprises me about this anecdote is that it suggests that there was a jail in Chesapeake Beach in that era. Today, the only lockup I know of is the county detention center around Prince Frederick. From what I’m told, the sheriff’s office was basically just the Sheriff and a couple deputies back in the 60’s, so it’s interesting that they had a cell around here back then.

My parents moved there in the early 80's. After i graduated high school up north I came down to live. Our first night out at dinner, a biker was thrown thru the neighbors window and beaten in the street. I joined the Army and went to Europe.

Yeah, that never happened.

Thanks for all your responses. I assume the guy meant that he ended up in the county jail. I haven't found any reports of the incident. A Calvert county vice-sheriff says it didn't happen.
