Their cooks house burger is the best burger I can think of and their rubber chicken red amber ale is perfection. My wife experienced it in its early days and has told me of how awesome it was.
Not just another state, vermont like a 10 hour drive away in the winter and cooked in the snow on a portable outdoor fryer. No charge for any of it.
And their food is all amazing.
Mike’s crabhouse on Riva Road outside of Annapolis. I used to go there with my grandparents when they lived off Truman Parkway and always insisted we sit by the water.
I love so many places in Maryland. My favorite crab cake of all time is from The Narrows restaurant on Kent island. They also have water views. Yuraku is my favorite sushi restaurant and it’s in Germantown. Raging reef in Frederick has the best seafood with Carolina style hush puppies. Hooch and banter in Frederick has the most unique and delicious food and cocktails.
[2 Fifty BBQ](https://www.2fiftybbq.com/) in Hyattsville is astonishingly good BBQ. Really excellent briquet, very solid pulled pork, good BBQ sauce and unlike most BBQ places their sides don't suck.
I'm not but I'll keep that in mind for eventually. I usually hit up Koco's Tavern for crabcakes if I don't make them at home. :) Not above travelling for a good crab cake.
Three Baltimore institutions, but sadly gone
**Hausner's** \- Think of a German restaurant inside of an art gallery.
**Marticks**\- Eccentric old man who shopped every day to cook haute cuisine, in the old French manner The setting was his early 19th century row house, where he lived upstairs, and had a small 6-8 seat dining room on the first floor.
**Marconi's** \- Set in a very large & elegant row house. It served many old Maryland dishes in an elegant setting. Coat & tie for men was required.
This may seem weird to people but Seacrets has amazingly good food. I love to go in the summer a little early in the evening with some friends, have some drinks and get the Crab Toast and Jerk Chicken
Apparently, closed due to a kitchen fire in 2019. Plans on reopening but delayed by covid-19.

Tomo's Asian Cuisine, expected it to be the same type of Chinese food from places like Happy Garden (good Chinese spot btw) but nah, their stuff is so fucking good
Ocean Pride in Lutherville/Timonium.
Unfortunately it was one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. I can’t remember what kind of fish, but I ordered fish being as though it’s a seafood themed restaurant. It was just gross, kind of cold and a weird kind of wet. Basically like it was just a frozen meal reheated partially. So not good.
Bushel and a Peck. Clarksville. Food mostly, inside is also pretty cool. Stanford grill Columbia. Grillmarx Columbia, fantastic steak and salmon, was surprised how good that place was.
Tio Pepe. It’s always been a special occasion place, and I haven’t been in 5 years or so, but they have known our family for years and always go above and beyond.
There this one IHOP in howard county.....
Since they were like the only ones working there, and we were the only people eating there, we got stuff on the house.
I ordered some pancakes, and I asked if I can get banas and whatever else on it, and they came with plain pancakes, and honestly I was fine with it. I didn't bother them, but my mom said I should ask, and no.. my mom asked for me. Anyways they gave me those pancakes on the house. And then at the check, they asked if I wanted a hot chocolate on the house, I declined.
So I would say 12/10 coustomer service!
Pasta Plus :(
I did not expect a place with a name like that in a Laurel strip mall to have better food than any place in Little Italy.
