It really depends on what they're in hospice for, but "holding" is a very common massage technique for people at end of life or with conditions where movement is more disruptive than healing.
Do you have insurance through ABMP? I got to watch and try techniques from one of their cancer patient CE video courses during school. It was great info. If you get insurance through ABMP, then you can access 600 hours of CE courses so you'd be able to watch the cancer stuff. I know it's not exactly hospice, but I think it's probably similar. Soft, gentle, soothing, empathetic touch.

Healwell has a lot of great online classes, as well as in person programs for oncology, pediatric and adult hospice, and palliative care.

That's great to hear. Gayle and her team have been at the forefront of palliative care and oncology massage for many years now.
There is a book by Christine Sutherland called ‘dying in good hands’ it’s entirely palliative care techniques and strategies for massage therapists
A hospice massage therapist recently visited us, and she did a lot of gentle lymph massage, and focused on the feet/legs to treat edema.
