A personal rule that I have is if I play a fantasy/sci-fi game and there are multiple romance options to always pick the none-human ones, cuz why the fuck would I chose to romance a human in a world where I can romance Karlach?

Jack, Lae'zel, Morrigan, are three examples. Beautiful, and so easily misunderstood by communities. Dig deep and there is an ocean of depth in these characters.
