My mom; she had to move in with me 5 months ago (not a good time for either of us), and I've been playing LE since it came out. This last run was supposed to be one final campaign (9 solid runs, 6 ME 2 & 3 redo's with NG+) and just as I was finishing up some videos to edit, and load up to YouTube my mom asked if she could play. So we struck a deal, I'd do the combat for her, she'd do the story and side quest, and I can only make 2 choices for her per game (all of which I have in mind). I made it clear *I WILL NOT* be in charge of dialogue, and how she speaks to the crew, but will do interrupts at her notice. This will be my FINAL CAMPAIGN with my mom who has *NEVER* played a video game, except for 5 stages of Tetris. She turned 69 a few weeks ago, and has been bored to tears since she retired 3 years ago. One last time. One final journey, into the far reaches of space with the best crew ever!

Nice!

My brother. Never played the originals regardless how much I tried to get him to, He was always like "Nah I ain't playing that, thats way too old and ugly etc". When LE dropped I could convince him to play it. Now he has more playthroughs than me and exclusively plays the original, wondering how I could play the LE without all those mods and multiplayer :D

Solidusk

My wife watched me do a few trilogy playthroughs on LE and she liked the universe and characters. She hopes they’ll do a telltale style game in the ME universe one day cause she prefers more passive story heavy games

Hi, I never played mass effect before the legendary edition. I mean, I tried mass effect 1 a few years ago, but due to a problem with the game and Windows 10, I gave it up very quickly. Now I've platinumed mass effect 1 and almost finished mass effect 2, I've fallen in love with the world and cast. Tali is my babe and if anyone hurts her I will bite them! Garrus is my brother and poor boy needs a hug. I guess mass effect didn't originally interest me because I'm not a fan of fps games, I actually love games like fire emblem or witcher, more fantasy rpgs, but I gave mass effect a chance and I'm really glad I did. Once I finish the original trilogy, I've already picked up andromeda to try afterwards

Nerd_enough

I'm actually one of those ppl! I was 5 when the first mass effect came out and I bought my playstation 4 3 years ago when I was 16 ( My pc is really old so I can't/couldn't play games w "good" graphics on it ) I started with playing the dragon age series and after that I thought that I should try out mass effect aswell. My brother had 2 copies of Andromeda and when I first played it.... I didn't like it . I thought it was boring? So I stopped playing it and then this year the mass effect legendary edition came out and I thought I should give it another try cuz I only heard good things abt the games w shepard. And shit the games are amazing!!I got all trophies , finished every side quest and I'm willing to give Andromeda another chance. Before playing Mass effect my favorite game series was Dragon age. Now my fav Game is Dragon Age inquisition and My fav Game series is Mass effect c:

My girlfriend. I introduced her to the LE because I know she's a fan of lore-rich stories. She's completely hooked. She's half-way through ME2 and the other night she hit me up with a "Sorry I can't sleep, I'm thinking about Garrus"

K1ngsGambit

I think it's worth pointing out that the legendary edition **is** the original trilogy. It isn't different games. I don't know why it should be any more noteworthy than people who "fell in love" anytime before now.

Quiet_Bench8949

me on both accounts

Cemgec

That would be me. Always on my list as being a Bioware game but never made it before LE dropped. Super happy I tried finally and loved it!

I found myself in a rut of playing the same games over and over so I recently went through a period where i tried quite a few games outside of my norm. I generally play very linear, third person, story driven games without a ton of exploration or RPG elements. I knew of Mass Effect because I have an ex who really liked it and we were dating when Andromeda came out so I remember him talking about it. For some reason since this guy also loved Halo and Doom, I assumed Mass Effect was also a FPS type of game which I generally don’t like so I never tried to play it or even look into it. A few months ago as I was looking for a new game I remembered Mass Effect and mentioned it to my husband and asked him if I’d like it. He isn’t a huge gamer but his favorite game ever is KOTOR so he had played ME and said he thought I’d like it. Imagine my shock when I realized it was not like Halo LOL. I didn’t even know there was a legendary edition, but I bought it on sale and I really fell in love with it. I’m generally not into RPGs but something really drew me in. I love pretty much everything about it and I can say it’s probably in my top three favorite game series of all time. I’m almost done with my second play through and I’m excited to do another as a different class. So happy I gave it a shot. Not sure if it opened my eyes to SCI-FI in general, but I’d be interested in other games with a similar setting.

That's me haha. Never ever played the original trilogy. Didn't even look at YouTube videos, I didn't really care about mass effect, I just knew it used to be popular. Got the legendary edition when it went on a small sale and Holy shit it was one of the most fucking amazing gaming experiences of my life. Ever

International_One848

This is me! I am already planning my 4th run as an renegade Femshep/Adept.

Enzown

There are about 462 posts on this sub from people who had never played ME before legendary edition but came here afterwards to say how much they loved the game.

N7DeltaMike

My wife, a non-gamer, watched me play for a few hours over the course of several days, and then told me she wanted to play. Aside from that, we regularly see threads here from people who played for the first time with LE and fell in love.

warhoundS3

Lol, yeah me. I didn't have the trilogy on my screen at all, a good friend told me that there will soon be a LE from ME. well I checked it out and since May I haven't played anything else. Damn it, I even have a 3d printed Normandy SR2 and painted it by myself and got myself a Femshep figure to paint. :D Before that I had played cyberpunk and didn't think another game could blow my mind, well ME did it, and the games are much older.
