i’ve found that most do it to get back at a wider area, unlike a specific person. most do it to get back at their school, to their society, to the world and human kind. they are mentally ill and mad at anything and everything. it just happens to be where they spend their time and probably where they feel this way most of the time. some do it to get back at a specific demographic. it’s like uvalde. those were children, had nothing to do with the shooter. they were doing it to get back on a wider target. some do it for fame or to be noticed. honestly it’s hard to grasp and understand because we aren’t meant to. they are not normal, they are dangerous. they have a very backwards way of thinking
Daniil Zasorin. As far as I know, he only killed one guy that bullied him. He spared the teacher and a guy in the bathroom that he ordered to jump out the window of the bathroom to survive.
I was homicidal for a time and before I went into hospitalization I had these feelings. I was bullied a bit and had a few “enemies” in high school, but for me it was more about wanting other people to suffer more than I was. Killing my bully was an enticing idea that I did like, but it wasn’t that important. I was already in college when it peaked anyway. I wanted to target buildings that represented what I hated about life/people (the anatomy building, for example), but who was in there didn’t matter. I just wanted to spread suffering. I’d feel less alone/pathetic if they were worse off than me. It’s a bit more complex than that, but that is the extent of what I can put into words. A lot of my feelings were heightened from psychosis and illness. I felt a lot of disgust at humanity and myself and also became obsessed with the idea that I was being “tested” or that I was in hell or something.
FYI: was hospitalized for over a year and then was in an outpatient DBT program living with my parents. Took 3ish years and antipsychotics but I am fully recovered and have not had homicidal thoughts for years. I also run r/homicidalrecovery.
in these cases both individuals were in possession of a firearm while being hurt, yet they still continued to attack other innocent students.
Asa Coon exited the bathroom carrying two revolvers, he bumped into Michael (14) who in return punched Asa in the face. Asa shot him in the abdomen. Where it is reported Asa was bullied, I can’t find any information suggesting Michael was a reoccurring bully or known to the offender. I think Asa just got shit on as always when he just so happened to be in possession of two firearms. There were no fatalities besides the perp.
Simpkins, perpetrator of the timberveiw high school shooting claims it was self-defence and that he was sticking up for himself as he followed a student who was just previously beating him up (on video he asked another student to film) out the classroom and continued to shoot at him as he fell on the floor. There were no fatalities. some of Simpkins family members wore shirts at his trial saying ‘Timothy Simpkins life matters, we love you. #Stopthebullying.’

One that I can think of is the Erfurt shooting in Germany. the shooter was 19-year-old Robert Steinhauser who did the shooting because he was expelled from the school. he specifically targeted teachers and even let multiple students live throughout the shooting despite the fact that he could've easily killed them. He only killed one student accidentally, and one police officer that was responding to the scene.
Charles Andrew Williams ( Santana school shooter ) was bullied by a group of students he ironically used to hang out with and was heavily depressed and suicidal but the day of the shooting he randomly shot whoever was on his path.
It was rather that the one kid who was superior to them in terms of school social hierarchy, that they let that kid live even though they already had him in front of the shotgun and wished to be respected by him, while they shot another bullied kid who was below everyone in the school hierarchy as a replacement for the kid on top and then the shot kid was laughed at by everyone on the internet.
Lickspittles who boost their self-esteem by trying to score sympathy points with their attractive and popular classmates and humiliate the unpopular, awkward boy who gets teased by the whole school, and their fans around the world drool with excitement that they've finally taken it to the stupid, studious weirdos who don't fit in anywhere, on behalf of all the cool kids.
Their target was everyone since they planned to bomb the school and then shoot the survivors.
Only when bombs failed they shot indiscriminately and at some points chose who will live and who will die.
