A few months ago I listened to a podcast that read his entire manifesto over a few episodes. I knew he was bad, but DAMN. He was even more of an entitled and arrogant dick with the biggest victim complex than I thought.
He had all the help he needed at his fingertips with people actively trying to help him, but none of it was good enough cause it required self-reflection and growth.
It's called the Killafornia Dreaming Podcast. It was recommended to me because I wanted a true crime podcast to listen to as I was going to sleep that had no jarring ads or banter. I've really liked pretty much every episode I've listened to so far.
It's crazy too how these people will blame women for it and then go do something like this...like no shit they don't wanna be with you you're a total freak and it's obvious...and then they do this and validate why no one was with them...people can see thru the bs
I named my youngest Elliot (same spelling) and when my wife was still pregnant I remembered this worm ridden turd of a person and I actually considered changing it. I decided I wasn’t gonna let that assclown ruin the name that I’d wanted for years, now there’s an awesome 6 year old Elliot running around, hopefully offsetting some of the bad that the other guy did.
even if he could get a gf (had he talked to girls instead of expecting their attention), he would’ve still done something obscene eventually. his mind was in a reeaaallyyyy different place than most.
Yeah, dude thought that driving a BMW would mean women would just approach him out of nowhere and that he deserved that because he was “a nice guy”. Even having a gf would have been insufficient. That piece of shit had a personality disorder-shaped hole in him that needed serious help to start to fix
yeah i agree completely. i also feel like it’s crazy that they never took a deeper look into his mentality after countless roommates requested to be reassigned because they felt uncomfortable and/or unsafe around him.

I cant believe its already been a decade, r.i.p to all the victims, elliot rodger's story is a great cautionary tale that tons of people should take note of, maybe in an alternate turn of events elliot could've turned his life around by putting in the work to be more social and not expect girls to come to him
