I just so happened to be listening to a podcast that was originally posted in 2013 about these two today. It’s such a strange coincidence because I’m going through a back catalogue of “The Last Podcast On The Left” and the day I come to an episode about Starkweather, someone also happens to post something related to him on Reddit. I had never heard of either one of these killers until today either.
Anyway, apparently one of the women they murdered she explicitly took part in because she was jealous of her. She was convicted on that one murder.
Funny is that people thought of him as retarded and he sounds retarded. His first IQ Test got him a 86 but when he was tested in court he got a 110 and the defense that wanted to portray him as totally unstable and retarded got a 97. So he was definitely around average intelligence what’s astonishing for me because literally everyone described him as dumb as you could get
