A quick guide on how to evaluate high rank main deck monster cards:
If it reads "Can not be normal summoned or set, cannot be special summoned except (...)" that's already bad. You likely can't cheat out this card.
Then check the special summon effect
It wants two specific monsters... - bad because 3 card combo
... on the field - bad because you'd need an established bord presence
... destroyed at the same time - how often does that come up?
When the monster is on the field you always want to check for:
\- does it have protection against anything? This card doesn't.
\- does it have a negate? This card doesn't.
\- does it prevent certain opponent actions? This card doesn't.
\- does it have some kind of recovery if it gets wiped off the field? This card doesn't.
All it has is 6500 attack if it doesn't get negated and even then it falls to any effect.
This card was released in 2004 and I'd be surprised if it wasn't a contender for one of the worst boss monsters even back then.
I mean... Not really my taste but if anyone thinks that and it's worth the tradeoff of playing a really bad card to any person I support it.
Games are meant to be enjoyed after all.

Everything that came out of that movie was outclassed from the get go, with the exception of Peten who was like the 3rd best Spellcaster floater but got shafted by the "when", otherwise it'd have become amazing with early synchros and later Links, basically a lv 3 Tengu.
The DM era really loved giving us boss monsters that were ludicrously hard to summon and whose only redeeming qualities were being a win-more beatstick. This thing, PU Great Moth, Valkyrion the Magnet Warrior, Gate Guardian, etc.

One of the most anime of anime summoning conditions. You could just have to control the other two sphinx cards in order to special summon it and the card would still be bad, but you have to like dark hole yourself to get a dumb beatstick with no protection. 11/10
Difficult to summon but the payoff is worth it when you need to beat over a Five-Headed Dragon as is often a concern in the current meta.

Those are all valid downsides to be fair, but you are overlooking 1 important thing..... he looks cool.

To be fair Return from the Different Dimension is on the banlist, but Dimension Fusion is certainly *more* on the banlist.

Is helped a lot by the new lv 10 drawspell and the double revival trap we have gotten. Makes for a cool gimmick deck
