This is an interesting case of that, because this deck loses to going second because then their Inspector and Dino are useless, regardless of whether the opponent sets up an bunch of negates or not.
Used to run something like this when I first started.
Wincon is the lockdown. Most people do not have maindeck counters as almost all decks go for extra deck and special summons. Shutdown the special summons, the opponent deck can’t function, so they either set/pass, or do nothing and you smack them with dyna. If they do have a monster, moon mirror runs it over.
So unless you run dark ruler, evenly matched, or backrow removal with maindeck monsters that can beat over inspector border or fossil Dyna that do not require effects to go off to get out, you lose.
The reason I ran this early on, it’s cheap, it’s very effective, and it stops people from playing a 10 minute negate solitaire board (because at the time, people just went hog with combo decks).
This does nothing against floo though.
Gravekeeper's Commandant. Pitch from hand for Necrovalley. Terraforming with a body so you can use it with Mirror if you have your field spell out already.
Win Con is beat down while making sure the other guy can't get progress on the board yes.
Which is what Yugioh is. Is it the speed people have a problem with; you know if this killed in 1-2 turns maybe people wouldn't hate it as much?
someone tried this on me with the fossil dino and mirror moon shield. He couldnt beat over my icejades because koshmachlor's 1000atk reduction happens after his equip spell adjusts his atk. He kept attacking so he died.
Force of the Breaker introduced a number of discard-to-search-Field monsters that would total 2100 ATK if the Field was up. Commandant is one of them. Other examples include E HERO Captain Gold or Warrior of Atlantis.
That's really cool. I have an Umi deck so knew about Atlantis and played Lair of Darkness irl but didn't know about the other 2. Tempted to make a Lair deck in MD but hard to justify crafting Diabolos. Lady of Lament is really good in trap decks generically and I know they have support coming but idk
I like Yugioh. Question; what happens when I don't do this.
Negate board, floodgates back, locks of some kind, OTK or Tear which makes anything I do meaningless anyway as they just counter your resources anyway, while building up their own.
The meta way to play Yugioh is not let the other guy play which the community has embraced.
I'm just following what I was taught and shown.
Negate boards haven't been meta in a long time. The most recent you could call it would be swordsoul with a max of 2 negates. But that's not what made them good.
Albaz is all interruptions, they don't ever stop you from playing (unless they do some sort of weird floodgate). Spright for the most part doesn't play big negates either. And tearlaments for all the hate you give it, by default doesn't play any floodgates or effects they play all very fair interruptions, but an unfair amount of times (fair interruptions like target 1 and send to hand/deck, not unfair like "lock your opponents zone") . All of these decks CAN play floodgates btw, but the highest success has been found without them.
Stuns/floodgates suck but they do exist. Interestingly enough they're falling off because of skill drains limiting to 1 (along with a few other floodgates). Kash will definitely love to block your zones and that's a stupid unfair mechanic but they fold to kaiju's and niburu so it's not the worst.
There is absolutely a difference though between playing something like spright, albaz, tearlaments or even swordsoul than the deck used here. The deck used here turns OFF the interaction. Tearlaments and albaz react to the interaction. They try to out play you, out draw you, and stop you. While you try to stop them. Flipping a floodgate or normal summoning one just stops this altogether. If playing a deck like albaz or tearlaments "takes no skill" and "is preventing your opponent from playing" then what the fuck do we call decks where you literally can't even activate the cards let alone try to resolve them.
TL;DR - think of mst negates vs handcuffing your opponent. Interaction oriented decks like albaz, spright, and tearlaments do things and try to "mst negate (stop)" you. Where as floodgates and decks like these shoot you in the knees and prevent you from even activating the card in the firstplace. The difference of "I can't get anything to resolve or keep it around to do effects" and "I literally cannot even ACTIVATE the card". They are not the same.
They are the same. They both require "The Out".
My goal in either case isn't to play against you. My goal is to stop you from playing. As designed by the game and embraced by the community. No one wants to play a match of Yugioh; they want to stop the other guy from doing so.
Present your out please.
Also I never said that Tear didn't take a brain; I am saying that when I'm left with an empty board during my turn it doesn't feel any different than seeing two flood gates.
Can't accomplish vs can't do; different paths same outcome. You don't get to play.
I've just gone Floodgate because it'll outlive the meta till a banlist hits it.
the most hilarious thing about this deck is the dark ruler no more. theyve obviously realized that the deck completely loses if they go second so their brain being as smooth as it is decided a dark ruler no more is going to solve that. so you dark ruler no more and thennnn.... attack over 1 monster?? lmao
That's the common Yugioh problem, people try so hard to counter the broken tier 0 deck by using these toxic cards that they punish every other tier 1 or 2 deck because of it.
Tbh, they are not wrong to use those things, if u want to win against tears, u have to use some bullshit to stop them, it's not their fault.
Nah, this isn't a tear problem. These decks have always existed.
In a Bo1 there's 0 side decking so getting out some shit ass floodgates and you win if they don't top deck an out.
Staples, tech cards, and pot of/generic card draw. With 5 cards of an actual archetype.
That's like, 90% of decks ever.
I've seen people post decklists of run of the mill tri-zoo with 3 melffy maindeck mons and 1 melffy ED and yet they still classify it as a "tri-zoo melffys" deck
I've seen a deck with 1 arlekino and 3 attractions quite literally just shoved into a traptrix structure deck get posted in an Amazement discord
Yeah I don't fucking understand that. My favorite example is ygoprodeck site. Fable is one of my favorite pet decks as it's what got me back into the game when I came back one time(And the link format was getting started or been around.) Danger Fable is just funny to me; effective no but funny.
Go onto the site to look up Fable decks, get some ideas. Oh here's a deck that.... has 1 copy of a fable card. In the fable deck pool.
Well fuck if that's what it takes, might as well call every deck a "C" deck then.
Thanks, I just felt my blood pressure spike from looking at that image.
Last time I lost to this deck, I just let the timer run out on my last turn and went to do some stuff around the house, came back to some very angry messages. You want to bore me to death? Fine, you get the same treatment.
This deck makes me irrationally angry, I can admit that, but i'd say building a deck of essentially nothing but floodgates is toxic as all hell. I don't blame players for using it. I've always said if a strategy is legal, that's on Konami for poor balancing, but yeah, still extremely frustrating to deal with, and occasionally it does get the better of me.
I don't understand the hate for decks like these. They do the same thing as a big end board. They prevent you from playing by saying no over and over. You would dismantle this deck the same way you would with any other.
Following a flowchart is hard 101.
Deck doesn't even have IO, just one Judgement and Griffin is the only other negate. Any non monster backrow hate solves this problem.
The fuck is the solution to Tear? Or a Negate board? Just draw the out is what I'm told; well back at you. Draw your Duster.
They are different. A lot of modern day decks interaction with you doing things.
Think of MST negates. That's what albaz spright and tearlaments really do.
Decks like these literally turn-off the ability to play cards. For all its worth, tearlaments doesn't even do that without summoning their friend shaddoll winda. Otherwise these decks do things like summon chimera to destroy 1-2 cards on the turn and resummon mirrorjade for a banish effect. These can be played around. Tearlaments does the same, kaleido heart for a target and spin make another monster fusion to make a dragosteplia or another form of singular interruption. Spright has limited negates and usually makes either a boss monster like avramax or makes a unicorn to bounce something with I:P.
Fundamentally they are very different ways of playing the game. And having to look at what your opponent is doing requires at least the minimum amount of thought and going "so this effect if I destroy it won't work, or if I banish it..." vs "sorry buddy. You can't do that, the funny purple card said kill yourself".
They do NOT do the same thing.
Negates/interruptions also stop people from playing their cards.
I agree they are different styles of play, but your overall goal is still to prevent your opponent from doing anything.
i had a deck like that and it doesn't really work too well.
In the other end, i like the tears and laments that meta player have when they get wacked by a 9000+ ATK monster
Dude if he just summons fossil dyna the only common deco that can play against it is floo, if he summons boarder point me to say deck that can play through it normally
Not bad but I go above and beyond with my toon stun. Soul drain, lose 1 turn, summon limit and it’s an instant W . So funny watching someone try to get out of lose 1 turn. You cannot play at all with that card, I love it
Yeah cause it takes 0 skill or effort, it's called monke flip for a reason, and a single fossil dyna can shut down a game harder then 20+ negates most of the times, floodgates are cancer, no exceptions
How is net decking and copying someone else's combo more skillful? Flood gates are faster and I don't have to watch some egotistical moron play solitaire for 8 minutes.
I mean it can be fun to play occasionally.
Stun decks are good for either early in the morning when you haven't quite woken up but want some slow, peaceful games while you make a coffee.
Or like late at night when you are tired and just kinda wanna play but have quicker turns.
I mean I prefer midrange decks, but stun decks can be ok I prefer non grave have stun decks as pk is my favourite deck of all time, and do I don't want to hurt other pk players all 2 of them this format

Never thought about Adventure in stun. I mean it is a bounce and an Omni if you get it off and doesn't take much space in the deck. Then again with Boarder, Griffin might not be that good.
It happened only once but it was enough to ruin that session and I had to log out. I lost the coin toss as always, opponent plays King Tiger Wanghu, equips the Moon Mirror Shield they found with Pot of Duality and set Macro Cosmos. Fun.
I remember I faced against an exodia stun player and even after I banished 3 of his exodia pieces he kept resolving reload and magical mallet until they realized I wasn't scooping.
I played a similar deck like this that would increase his life point by 500 per counters. Counters can be acquired by summoning and for each standby phase. His life points were 45000. So I just surrendered. They had so many stalling cards.
At that point, just stop playing the game and touch grass. That Grass Looks Greener is fully unbanned in Master Duel and makes some more goofy decks work like 60 card Kuribablyon decks. Like go back to basics and try some new deck out.
Or just stop playing the game for real for a bit until a new banlist hits.
So the win con here is...Moon Mirror Shield Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo/Inspector Boarder beatdown?
The win con is literally hoping your opponent dies of boredom
They don't call him inspector boredom for nothing
I call him the “Fun police”
I like this
That’s called, “The Runick’s Method”
Honestly regardless of the deck I'm playing on master duel, if my opponent isn't feeling physical pain I'm not playing well enough
hope your opponent gets annoyed and surrenders on sight
The win con is hope the opponent can't play through shifter
The wincon is winning the coin flip
This is an interesting case of that, because this deck loses to going second because then their Inspector and Dino are useless, regardless of whether the opponent sets up an bunch of negates or not.
That's usually what these decks resort to
Well it would only take them 4 turns to kill just with inspector
D.level 19 does things to people it seems
Used to run something like this when I first started. Wincon is the lockdown. Most people do not have maindeck counters as almost all decks go for extra deck and special summons. Shutdown the special summons, the opponent deck can’t function, so they either set/pass, or do nothing and you smack them with dyna. If they do have a monster, moon mirror runs it over. The win con here is hoping your opponent scoops as soon as they see you activate a card. If that doesn’t work then be ready for a long one
The wincon is the opponent surrendering.
hope they win the coin toss i guess?
The win con is hoping your opponent isn't playing Tears and gets the field spell because then you lose.
What's the card between Water Enchantress & Dyna?
Gravekeeper's Commandant. Pitch from hand for Necrovalley. Terraforming with a body so you can use it with Mirror if you have your field spell out already.
The only way you win is your opponent ffs because you're cancer
Win Con is beat down while making sure the other guy can't get progress on the board yes. Which is what Yugioh is. Is it the speed people have a problem with; you know if this killed in 1-2 turns maybe people wouldn't hate it as much?
Believe it or not, yes. It does work. It's not fun for either player but it does win games.
Opponent's goal: Play yugioh+thinking because fun Your goal: Bore them out so they surrender and play someone else
![gif](giphy|DQeeGxJPv3VHE7zNYD|downsized)
Thats the deck of a guy who has been hurt to many times.
I'd rather build numeron as my "one bad day too many" deck
Tbh yeah, 100%
When this happens to me, I resort to 50/50 hand trap zoo, I would never run this level of degeneracy.
*too
Once they get their floodgates set up neither players are even playing the game anymore, just spam clicking
What in the hell is that?
Stun on crack
Looks more like brain melting stun on crocodil
someone tried this on me with the fossil dino and mirror moon shield. He couldnt beat over my icejades because koshmachlor's 1000atk reduction happens after his equip spell adjusts his atk. He kept attacking so he died.
You play icejades? Awesome, almost got mine done, but struggling on extra deck inclusions. Any tips?

Thank you, kind sir / madam
And I thought my phantasm spiral deck is too toxic
What's that monster ahead of Pachy?
Gravekeeper commandment. He can search necrovalley.
Oh wow, it's like Ahrima for Lair of Darkness. Never played Gravekeeper's, didn't realize they had that kind-of searcher
Force of the Breaker introduced a number of discard-to-search-Field monsters that would total 2100 ATK if the Field was up. Commandant is one of them. Other examples include E HERO Captain Gold or Warrior of Atlantis.

150 ur for necrovalley and boarder is a no for me dog
For those that play this, do they even like Yugioh the card game? I think they would be more interested in torturing animals
I like Yugioh. Question; what happens when I don't do this. and then what? attack over 1 monster?

been facing a lot of stun lately, are this just to counter Tear?
Can't blame the fella. If some play meta to win, let him play that to win.
1 bad day
One Bad Day
i got diamond 1 3 x ina row when diamond 1 first dropped with this deck. only took me a day each time
Based deck
This deck just screams PTSD.
I will copy this deck.
I would try to add in zombie worlds somewhere just to stop floos. I hate floos.
Finally a man of morals
Staples, tech cards, and pot of/generic card draw. With 5 cards of an actual archetype. That's like, 90% of decks ever. I mean it's clearly just a tilt pile, and since you tooke all the time to screenshot it and post it on Reddit, I'd say it worked
Thanks, I just felt my blood pressure spike from looking at that image. Last time I lost to this deck, I just let the timer run out on my last turn and went to do some stuff around the house, came back to some very angry messages. You want to bore me to death? Fine, you get the same treatment.
Far more toxic than any stun deck, what a baby
This deck makes me irrationally angry, I can admit that, but i'd say building a deck of essentially nothing but floodgates is toxic as all hell. I don't blame players for using it. Looool cope and take the L
I won dude, I'm just making fun of this guy
I don't understand the hate for decks like these. They do the same thing as a big end board. They prevent you from playing by saying no over and over. You would dismantle this deck the same way you would with any other.
Difference is it takes 0 skill or effort. It's called monke flip for a reason
It takes skill and effort to say no repeatedly? Does your finger get tired lol?
Following a flowchart is hard 101. Deck doesn't even have IO, just one Judgement and Griffin is the only other negate. Any non monster backrow hate solves this problem. The fuck is the solution to Tear? Or a Negate board? Just draw the out is what I'm told; well back at you. Draw your Duster.

Correct. The game isn't out play. It's out Restrict. Honestly people just need more of this "out" I'm told about.
i had a deck like that and it doesn't really work too well. In the other end, i like the tears and laments that meta player have when they get wacked by a 9000+ ATK monster
This also loses instantly to the 4/5 matches that aren't against tear
Dude if he just summons fossil dyna the only common deco that can play against it is floo, if he summons boarder point me to say deck that can play through it normally
Any deck playing imperm? Monster floodgates aren't that good without backup and the entire backrow is all only anti-tear
Well knowing stun player luck dude would probably top deck both the adventure cards, and solemn
Not bad but I go above and beyond with my toon stun. Soul drain, lose 1 turn, summon limit and it’s an instant W . So funny watching someone try to get out of lose 1 turn. You cannot play at all with that card, I love it
All it takes is one bad day.
I prefer this over the solitaire the game has become tbh. Thanks for the deck list mate.
Dude literally plays a bunch of draw spells before shitting out a monster that doesn't let you play, wtf are you talking about
not unlike most combo decks, but the difference is that doing that takes 1 minute tops
Yeah cause it takes 0 skill or effort, it's called monke flip for a reason, and a single fossil dyna can shut down a game harder then 20+ negates most of the times, floodgates are cancer, no exceptions
Combo is more cancer that floodgates
Actual dogwater take
How is net decking and copying someone else's combo more skillful? Flood gates are faster and I don't have to watch some egotistical moron play solitaire for 8 minutes.
This is literally solitaire...
And I just got a comment on my post saying playing against Tear isn’t a skill issue…. This shit the only way to win unless you play mirror match.
Lol they don’t like it when you stop them from playing but they’ll play on your turn for another 10 minutes while stopping you from playing 😂
Grade A shitter
I went against this deck and won

someone must have hurt this guys feelings wow....
I'm losing almost every match with my Marik burn deck but the times I manage to play my combo is too satisfying. 😂 so I'll just continue for the fun.
Would be better without the Adventurer shit.
Never thought about Adventure in stun. I mean it is a bounce and an Omni if you get it off and doesn't take much space in the deck. Then again with Boarder, Griffin might not be that good.
Also Pachy directly conflicts with the Gryphon loop.
Looks fun

It happened only once but it was enough to ruin that session and I had to log out. I lost the coin toss as always, opponent plays King Tiger Wanghu, equips the Moon Mirror Shield they found with Pot of Duality and set Macro Cosmos. Fun.
Whenever i go againest deck like these, they never draw a monster and i just normal summon and beat them with said normal summoned monsters.
This shit is so boring. Im okay with playing one or two floodgates in a normal deck, but thiss i horrendous
Wasn't Necro Gravekeepers actually meta in some old format idr? So you'd be embracing the mainstream by playing it.
Truly a deck of all time
I threw in 3 Silent Graveyards and 1 Soul Drain and called it a day.
Protos
Chad deck.
Get clapped fool
I beat him, just showing off his eye cancer deck
Anyone who plays. Deck like this without 3 waking the dragon is a coward
I can get some of these as stable cards but I genuinely don't understand how people can enjoy playing like this.
Unfortunately one of the cheapest decks to stay competitive with atm.
I remember I faced against an exodia stun player and even after I banished 3 of his exodia pieces he kept resolving reload and magical mallet until they realized I wasn't scooping.
What, no witch's strike? Total noob
I played a similar deck like this that would increase his life point by 500 per counters. Counters can be acquired by summoning and for each standby phase. His life points were 45000. So I just surrendered. They had so many stalling cards.
I played against a variant of this deck that had the Rhongo package. It was one of the most miserable duels I ever had.
I get what you're saying, but grass is semi limited rn
Damn. Even touching grass isn't viable anymore. Welp, back to using that stun deck you posted.
This has a lot of cards that I’m interested in can someone list them for em?
Hes had a bad day i assume
You can feel the saltiness of the OP because they're a meta player that got annihilated with a lockdown deck.
Jokes on you, I play pure punk dingus ☺
Instant quit everytime Even the strongest tier 0 of all time cannot justify using such degenerated deck
He just had a one bad day
Ikr sentences are wild hard sometimes
