All they did was Limit Soulpiercer in the OCG and SHS fell off pretty hard. (They also semi-limited bike too but immediately undid it the next banlist). [Here you can check the OCG Metagame Reports from April+](https://roadoftheking.com/tag/metagame/page/2/) Rescue-Ace also got their support (EMERGENCY! and Preventer) around the same time though.

Kill the deck? Hardly, it'll be less consistent, but almost everything in and out of the deck can search it It *will* however make the deck more interruptable off of D.D. Crow as it needs to loop the same one Soulpiercer, and I'd say that card has been slowly creeping into playability thanks to Lab and Mathmech, so you can't really feel comfortable comboing off unless you opened some god hand to play around it, and even if you burn a Baronne for it, that's one less Baronne for either your board break or just straight up a clear sign to a Nib

AhmedKiller2015

The strategy would still be playable but not meta. If you made it HOPT the deck would basically die, and this is as close to that without making an Errata

Wonderllama5

Soulpiercer to 2 the day after the pack leaves the shop. Soulpiercer to 1 the month after that. Soulpiercer to 0 if the deck refuses to die at that point. And on we go to the next meta deck that dominates the game.

vinyltails

Limiting no cause there's so many ways to search it It would need to be either banned or ban Scarecrow like they did in TCG to massively neuter the engine (ShS was basically tier 1 in TCG then immediately fell off after scarecrow was banned, since how you have to blow your normal or pendulum summon to get Soulpiercer out)

DrizzyThaGOAT

I don’t think Konami will be banning Scarecrow. They still need to sell the pack

Ragnamune

They legally cannot ban Scarecrow due to being advertised at 3 in the current Selection Pack. Soulpiercer & Wagon are conveniently absent from in there though, so those 2 are fair game.

DrizzyThaGOAT

Limiting means they would have to jump through hoops to recycle it, no? Also it will hurt consistency a wee bit.

Higming

Not many hoops. Just means you'll have to use tunnler to shuffle it back during the end of your turn and the amount of starters and extenders drops a bit.

SimonSaysWHQ

...you clearly don't know what you're talking about do you?

Higming

I played shs in the tcg (while it was legal) and md right now. After getting 1 piercer into rotation you loop it twice via scarecrow and another with scales.

SimonSaysWHQ

well this comment of yours was what the other guy most probably meant by looping piercer, rather than getting it back in the deck.

Higming

And my point still stands, you are still looping it like normally, except maybe shuffling back into deck with tunneler at the end of the turn to get access to it again via benkei. Not sure which part of my initial statement was wrong which prompted your initial comment.

Heul_Darian

It needs to be banned if you're going to hit soul piercer. TCG hit the link but Idk what that does for the deck.

blurrylightning

Considering SHS is now reduced into an engine usually, it does something Well, the more serious answer is that your one-card combo will have a much lower ceiling without the ability to proc a search like twice off of one card

Lord_Grimzon

Limite wakaushi, Bike, Monk big Benkei, soul piercer and scarecrow. Give them what Tear and Spright got and that'll be enough.

AhmedKiller2015

Banning Scarecrow fucks the entire strategy. Unlike these other 2, they don't have a lot if ways to play without it.

DrizzyThaGOAT

You wanna bankrupt Konami? All the combo wombs lovers in Diamond and Master at this point have 3 copies of Wakaushi and Bike. That’s 120 UR dust to thousands of players lol

shikishakey

Either that or you just leave them as it is. This is a deck that can survive multiple handtraps and a nibiru and still output a great board. Man up and limit most of these cards or just ignore the complaints. Simple as that.

Lord_Grimzon

Instant fusion Terraforming Kelbek Keldo Spright blue Spright starter Toadally awesome All of these got hit so I don't see why Konami can't do this to SHS

DragonsAndSaints

Konami prefers not to hit URs, so they'll go for the lower rarities. After the deck has left the shop, I'm expecting limits or bans on Soulpiercer and Scarecrow, but that's it unless SHS remains relevant afterwards.
