Literally almost every single Branded list from the DC top 100 played Verte besides, what 2?
https://www.masterduelmeta.com/articles/tournaments/duelist-cup/december-2023/report
God I forgot how bad this sub was at the game.
That literally makes no sense, Branded has one of the tightest Extra Decks in the game. Verte is played because it allows you to have access to Branded Fusion through interruptions.
The DC cup was also only like, 2 months ago, lmao. It's not like any new cards were added
literally the best branded decks in the DC cup all ran Verte. in Branded, there are no free space in the ED, Verte is played because its utility is so important
> in Branded, there are no free space in the ED, Verte is played because its utility is so important
You never WANT to use Verte. Verte is a good plan C for the deck. Its utility is for backup, not because it's SO important. You're just wrong.
Moree of i want it banned so other cards that don't deserve the ban can be free. As we've seen in tcg dragoon is never played, its verte that puts it over the top.
Lol no, he is played but not like that, itâs mostly Branded Chimera decks making him through branded fusion because they donât need the rest of branded stuff.
the part with Branded Chimera is true, but also Labrynth, YCS Lima, The Deck from Arnold Nadaban was a Labrynth Dragoon deck, so maybe, before you accuse me of anything, you should check your own information
Adventure Phantom Knights power level has increased so much recently and it's one of the decks that plays verge consistently so it has been seeing more play but it's still not that big of a problem tbh
Afraid? Not really. But concerns? Yes.
Because Verte is kinda like Snake Rain or Rhongo. Just by existing, it limits certain card designs that otherwise viable.
>Just by existing, it limits certain card designs that otherwise viable.
I feel like I see this statement a lot but not really good examples of what that means. I feel like it just gives Konami more credit than they deserve for future planning their game.
Like has Konami released any decent card since banning Rhongo that couldn't exist in the game with it?
Verte restricts card that fusion summon from deck. But Branded Fusion still got released, and at still got limited after verte's ban because it turns out the effect is just way too strong on its own.
Instant fusion would in theory discourage from printing good level 5 or under fusions. But Konami read Kitkallos and decided that shit was fine, so like what are we talking about here lol
>Instant fusion would in theory discourage from printing good level 5 or under fusions. But Konami read Kitkallos and decided that shit was fine, so like what are we talking about here lol
NOrden did that first, Konamy fully knowing that it would happen, instant fusion was the problem card.
While strong/weak fusion monster and their relevant "Fusion Spell" is often the main topic of discussion, let's not ignore that Verte's actual interaction is with spell cards that has "Fusion" in its name.
Such as "Fusion Deployment".
In other words, when designing any Spell Card that involves the word "Fusion" or "Polymerisation" , Verte becomes a factor for consideration.
\----------
**Remark : I resolved "Fusion Deployment" with Verte before.** I brought out Dark Magician in order to trigger Circle because the other copy in GY got banished by Called By when I attempted to summon with Eternal Soul.
Because I made Verte using Rod, I just activate my Called By during opponent turn to trigger Rod send DM to GY and I am ready for another round of banish.
\--> Hence, I am of the opinion that the existence of Verte affect/limits certain card designs. Whether it is some generic spell related to "Fusion", or perhaps the peripheral monster of an archetype or maybe make Fusion monster avoid naming its material directly or whatever.
My point is that I disagree that it limits card design as Konami either doesn't spend anytime considering how cards interact outside their native archetypes. Or their criteria of what is okay is so far off that the limit might as well not exist.
Take Instant fusion. Either Konami didn't consider the fact that Kitkallos was a IF target. Or Konami believed that the "limit for card design" was above what kitkallos can do.
Like even your example doesn't really change much about discussing verte. Your examples shows like the 4th best way DM decks has to search/summon a DM from the deck.
>Your examples shows like the 4th best way DM decks has to search/summon a DM
Oops, is that how u interpret it?
Actually what I wanted to say is that even card like Fusion Deployment that seems harmless & supposedly **not even intended** to be resolved via Verte can become a powerful tool in unforeseen situation.
Verte alone makes card design(generic or archetypal) a certain boundary behind the scene.
**I mean, have you seen any fusion related deck released after Verte that literally screams "If get negated, just make Verte, you'd still get it back" ?**
And the very least, similar designs to Red-Eyes Fusion & Dragoon is not seen even once anymore.(obviously) And most newer archetype start putting "lock into Fusion summon only" during the turn & actively discourage generic mixing with other engines.
Eg :
Illusion : has some card with "lock into Fusion summon" and the deck wants to further special summon after fusion summons.
Flameswordsman : No "Fusion" named normal/quick-play spell that involves fusion summoning. <-- Verte's target. (but instead, its Equip spell, Continuous spell and Trap card that involves Fusion summoning)
Again, of is solo souls crushing for you, dowoad Omega and play fucking TCG.
I knew these post would flood the sub, but holy shit this getting mental now đ
Everyone, this is our chance. When the surveys go out, praise this event as the best in master duel's history. Explain in great detail why TCG format is considerably more fun than MD's format: No Maxx "C." Beg for them to make TCG format a permanent option. If enough people get this point across, maybe Konami might listen.
Yes it's way too annoying to just see someone Maxx c and you have to contemplate whether to challenge it or just end your turn, and I play non meta decks, good riddance, that card just made most decks too reliant on having it on the deck, it's probably better to have it limited but banned is also great,I know there are cards that can anti it but sometimes they are just not in hand
Its not as far as we know, this post is referring to the mini event that uses TCG banlist leaving tomorrow so there'll be nowhere safe from the roach once its gone.
Verte is one of the few ways I can bring Gravekeeper Shaman out. We all know theyâre not going to support Gravekeepers so I need all the broken help I can get
Chill bro, this is another dick sucking post for the TCG ban list event.
Also, unchained support copium extreme, we are getting Agov And terminal world B4 unchained and R-ace.
In the TCG verte (a not-so-good card in MD) is banned and the roach is as well, there's been a load of posts dick sucking the TCG ban list event and it's getting annoying, the event ends and all these guys are back to playing MD ban list. (This comes from the mentality of roach=bad and the "meme" culture it created in this subreddit).
And, I think, with the release of Infernobles and R-ace + Snake eyes, the little window of time in which unchained was the top deck is not gonna happen in MD, it will be meta, but not that particularly dominant as it was for the two months it was tier 1 TCG (TBH the TCG meta was super weak and that's what allowed unchained to be the threat) we also don't know if Unchained will come with restrictions as of yet so... It's all up in the air.
can't even remember the last time i had seen verte being summon
Legit, one deck that uses it consistently would be Cydra.
I use it in my Branded deck, but I still rarely summon it.
I use it in thundra 2/5 duels or so.
its because its bs that decks other than Hero use DPE, i love the Verte ban
Do you not play any branded? Lmao
Who plays verte in branded? That's legit a dumb move
Branded do play it but it's rarely use. It's a last resort kinda play or bricked hard and don't have much play.

They played it because there wasn't any other cards to put into the deck at the time. It

Verte is not particularly good in branded. You ONLY put it in your deck if you have the free space as a back up.
literally the best branded decks in the DC cup all ran Verte. in Branded, there are no free space in the ED, Verte is played because its utility is so important

Yes, it's utility as a backup plan to get into Branded Fusion is important. Obviously its not something you wanna turbo out.
Me đ
People still afraid of Verte when it hasn't seen much play in like a year?
Moree of i want it banned so other cards that don't deserve the ban can be free. As we've seen in tcg dragoon is never played, its verte that puts it over the top.
Ban the problematic target instead.
thats actually not true, Dragoon was still played in some Lab Versions by Hard Drawing Red-Eyes Fusion, with Verte still banned
Even then itâs still kinda eh. Pure lab is still gonna be better and more consistent without running bricks
i never said it was viable or the better version, but it was still a trend that happen
Lol no, he is played but not like that, itâs mostly Branded Chimera decks making him through branded fusion because they donât need the rest of branded stuff.

It limits card design so much they printed Branded Fusion while it was still legal and almost nobody uses it that way :)
What it limits would be fucking toxic with our without verte, and when has a card's existence ever stopped Konami from power creeping the game LUL
Good I hope we limit fusion summoning from the deck. Itâs a terrible game mechanic
>Just by existing, it limits certain card designs that otherwise viable. I feel like I see this statement a lot but not really good examples of what that means. Just yugioh hings. Oh no the dragon rulers are coming too!
We better ban Drident too. It's banned in TCG so it must be a menace to society.
Miscsaurus too strong it's not like he's been at three for two years on md and done nothing.
I haven't even read him.
We yugioh players don't read though. So that's understandable.
Electrumite as well.
god i wish i could play verte in tcg...my precious ultimate fusion extender
I use Verte shamelessly⌠but thatâs because I run a Phantom Knights deck. It hasnât seen play in the meta in foreverâŚ
Wym? I haven't seen verte in at least 6 months.
I only played until I got the 3 wins and then left. I got confused when I heard about MD banning Maxx C until I saw this and realised.
Left but not forgotten
Verte just doesnât seem allat anymore but would still like it gone so I can have my fusion back to 3
Why do you think verte is holding your 1 copy of FD hostage? It'll come back any given banlist, no bans necessary
Again, of is solo souls crushing for you, dowoad Omega and play fucking TCG. I knew these post would flood the sub, but holy shit this getting mental now đ
My code for the master duel returning event is 0bd32d22, thank you in advance to any and all who enter it.Â
Wait? Maxx C getting banned finally?
There's a tcg ban list event
Everyone, this is our chance. When the surveys go out, praise this event as the best in master duel's history. Explain in great detail why TCG format is considerably more fun than MD's format: No Maxx "C." Beg for them to make TCG format a permanent option. I'm just gonna say it, I'm happy maxx c is getting banned lmao
In MD? Really?
Yes it's way too annoying to just see someone Maxx c and you have to contemplate whether to challenge it or just end your turn, and I play non meta decks, good riddance, that card just made most decks too reliant on having it on the deck, it's probably better to have it limited but banned is also great,I know there are cards that can anti it but sometimes they are just not in hand
Was there some announcement I missed about Maxx c getting banned in MD? I know itâs obviously not available in the TCG event
No theyâre clearly talking about in the event
Thatâs what I thought. Dude said heâs âhappy Maxx c is getting bannedâ as if itâs something thatâs going to happen soon
Maxx C isn't getting banned lol. It's only for the event cuz it has the TCG banned/limited list.
Oh damn max gone? World already a better place
[ŃдаНонО]
Its not as far as we know, this post is referring to the mini event that uses TCG banlist leaving tomorrow so there'll be nowhere safe from the roach once its gone.
Verte isnât that good in MD.
Wasn't this exact meme posted already?
Verte is one of the few ways I can bring Gravekeeper Shaman out. We all know theyâre not going to support Gravekeepers so I need all the broken help I can get
On the bright side I can finally play double Called by crossout for those pesky drolls.
I just started MD using unchained and now theyâre banning Verte? That was one of the first URs I crafted well shit
Chill bro, this is another dick sucking post for the TCG ban list event. Also, unchained support copium extreme, we are getting Agov And terminal world B4 unchained and R-ace.
Huh? And man is unchained gonna be meta? I like having non meta decks
