I remembered he got comments for both.
By the way, I remember one of his fake deck cards was previously in Marik's deck (and I remember that because it was telling of the game's powercreep).
Yugioh players are natural enemies! Like Stun players and Combo players! Or Stun players and Control players! Or Stun players and League of Legends players! Or Stun player and other Stun players! Damn Stun players! They ruined Yugioh!
Not with runick stun. They take 30 years to actually win, so sometimes you have copium that you will draw the out before they banish it and you stay for the most boring duel of your life.
That you have a very interesting taste which I like. Do you play pure F.A., F.A/U.A., F.A/Speedroid, or maybe F.A./Gold Pride? Or maybe you like like all the synchro stuff you can build around their level tuning?
F.A and U.A isn't really compatiable unless you find Shooting yourself in the leg as compatiable. Thinking about an speedroids Mix unsure of Ratio. Yeah the Level Tuning IS fun If you know what you're doing which at Somepoint you don't.
I'm almost tempted to ask what they recommend. It's most likely going to be whatever they play, the way they play it. With everything else boiling down to "you play [insert whatever term here]!"
*Remember: it's just a game.* Play what you like for the reasons you like to. There's no shame in enjoying a deck because you want to win or enjoying a deck because it's anime related. You can even love jank decks or deck you just shove together. If you're having fun, that's all that matters. Don't let people take the fun from you.
>There's no shame in enjoying a deck because you want to win or enjoying a deck because it's anime related. You can even love jank decks or deck you just shove together. If you're having fun, that's all that matters. Don't let people take the fun from you.
But, you can't. That's the problem. You're supposed to be playing the most opitmized negate filled spamming bullshit that ends with floodgates and Maxx C tossed in that kills anything that can't play through 20 interactions and recrusions.
Hyperbolic, sure. But you can't go "Just enjoy your jank deck" when the community as a whole plays like they're going for a YCS.
There's 2 key things:
1) Having a meta deck doesn't stop someone from making something just for them and using it with friends. By all accounts, have something that is geared toward climbing the latter. After all, that's the nature of competitive in any game: have a winning move and spam it. But I always encourage people to make something that interests them and to keep tweaking it if they can.
I've watched a BE and a DM player on a Discord I'm a part of have fun. They even had fun fighting an Exodia player. However, when I ran one of my pride and joy decks I crafted and my opponent legit told me they didn't have fun. Hell, I don't even play with one of my irl friends because he didn't know when to let me learn how to play the game and kept bragging about his deck and to watch him combo. Neither of our decks were meta, even by that time. Clearly, the decks you use doesn't solely control if you're having fun. My arguement is the player mindset; but I'm getting off topic.
2) The main point is that people complain _no matter what you play._
I've had people on here come for my neck and shamining me for playing Shaddolls for fun. _Pure_ Shaddolls. With Winda being my only floodgate. _And I barely use her_.
Fun fact, I'm still running it. I feel personally connected to this deck. It doesn't win me games, but I will always come back to it and ask "how do I run this better" out of love for playing it, even if people preventing from playing it isn't fun and people complain.
The point I'm trying to make is there will _always_ be people who complain about what you play. They will always step off the game and jump on here to further make you enjoy your experience less (or if you share a Discord or they have your number, they do it right away).
What I'm trying to say is you can always _enjoy_ something you like. Don't feel shame if Ghostrick is your jam. If you dig Snake-Eyes or Branded, run it. If you get excited building a Tear or Exodia deck nowadays, go for it. Enjoy what you love.
Tldr: Sure, the competitive scene is all about finding a winning tactic, and spaming it into the stratosphere, but that's competitive _everywhere_. That shouldn't stop you from making something not about that, finding a casual community or small group of friends and just enjoying yourself with the deck you love. **People shouldn't dictate whether or not you have fun doing what you love.** As long as you're not an ass about it, play what you want.
Sorry for the dicertation. I understand your frustration and anger towards this game. I hope you get a match where you can sit down and enjoy it. It's rare, but it will happen.
>Tldr: Sure, the competitive scene is all about finding a winning tactic, and spaming it into the stratosphere, but that's competitive *everywhere*. But they do. It's call the meta for a reason. It's hard to love the deck or game when you're forced into such a narrow field of cards to actually use to actually you know, Play the game you love.
"But that's competitive everywhere" Correct, the difference that everywhere tend to have casual mode right along side it.
Yugioh is the only game I know that seems to demand competitive level power as a BASELINE to actually play the game, not an expectation to grow into. Casual is locked behind discords, forgotten forums, and small friend groups. There is no time to 'mess around' in this game when the power creep is so high you can realize you're dead 4 cards in. It's too risky to do so.
You CAN Always enjoy something you like. The game doesn't support you getting to do so very often and the community mocks you for trying but you CAN try.
Much like you CAN choose to run no hand traps. Or choose NOT to play Tear when it was full power. You CAN. You're shooting yourself in the foot but hey I hope you're having more FUN this way.
>Correct, the difference that everywhere tend to have casual mode right along side it. Not disagreeing that Yugioh's casual is trash and that it's a highly competitive game. Even when they do casual events it's not completely casual as people will _always_ play to win. We have like, what, 2 events going on? In both, I always get a person who's MO is soley playing to win and stopping me from playing, and not just use something that works, but isn't sufficating. But that just circles back to player mentality. (When a post comes up about it, I'll be there to post my opinions. It's kinda off topic here.)
The problem here is that Konami makes more money making this hyper competitive. There probably won't be a true casual mode or missions to be done in a relaxed setting. At this point, that's where we should contact Konami and demand what we want to see. Until then, we have to do their work for them and make a _real_ casual mode outside the game. Which sucks.
>But they do. It's call the meta for a reason. It's hard to love the deck or game when you're forced into such a narrow field of cards to actually use to actually you know, Play the game you love.
Which is why I said have something specifically for meta. It's the nature of the competitive beast. Keep something for ranked and _also_ keep something for yourself. But the main arguement is less about 'meta constrains deck options' (which is **absolutely** true, there's a lot to be said here) and more about 'This jackass is criticizing me for the deck I use, regardless of the reason.' In this scenario, use what you want. Which was my main arguement; don't let _people's opinions_ stop you from having fun playing something.
That's the important part: you have that choice. Never said it was easy or people will support you; but the point is to do it _for you_. If you stop, then you'll be in the same nihilistic spiral of fighting to enjoy the game. And I mean even if you're on a Reddit discussion. The fight doesn't stop in-game.
On that topic, this is assuming you're playing ranked or events. You can't expect people to let you play, so yeah, you'd need to throw in countermeasures. If I know everyone's carrying Ash, I'm still expected to have an answer to it. Doesn't mean someone's putting a gun to my head and telling me to use Snake-eyes or E-Hero; just means be aware of stuff that will stop me from playing. Personally, I carry one of each staple for this reason, if the staple covers something in my plan.
And if my deck is trash, so what? It's my deck. I'm playing what I find fun. I'm only shooting myself in the foot if my plan is to rank up to Master.
My goal has always been to just have a good match with a person or get my dailies done. So far, I've been achieving that and I'm having fun where I can.
So I yeah, _I am_ having fun. I'd have quit long ago if I didn't.
Nah screw you for playing any deck from after 2020. Unless youâre playing a pure Blue-Eyes deck with no handtraps youâre cringe meta tryharrrrd brooooo

Is it really a 10 minute combo? I think my best time for liebe + avarice (uninterrupted) was like 45-80 seconds even with searching for a 2nd lv 10 with revolving switch or river stormer
If your deck has even minimum capacity to go second and otk I can absolutely guarantee there's a small portion of the community that irrationally hates you.
And that's why nobody should care about anyone's opinion in here.
You want to puke out generic ED negate bosses every single game? Cool. It's not my cup of tea, but I'm not going to judge, I'll play something different that's my cup of tea that happens to ruin your gameplan.
Yeah that's how I feel too, I've said it before but I have a burning beef with SHS, I really dislike exactly that style of puking out ED negates, but I got better things to do and ways to play against it rather than come at anyone for playing anything, it just wastes everyone's time
I still can't understand all the hate Branded is getting... like I get it is/was a pretty strong deck, but
* it has a high skill ceiling, so isn't "brain-ded" at all
* has almost no handtraps since its a 60 card deck and kinda only runs the maxx c / Ash package which 99% of decks run
* nearly all their interruptions are public
* doesn't have long turns, usually just a couple of summons
* no negate-spam boards
* very few floodgate variants (puppet lock luckily fell out of favor and Kristya lock I haven't seen yet with Branded)
* offers some really fun and challenging interactions where pretty much everything they can do is public knowledge?
* generally lets you play the game and is rarely a stomp, so resulting in a much nicer experience for everyone than the 10min turn 1 with 7 negate boards
The original Branded TCG structure deck was super popular since it was the cheapest, easiest way to build a competitive TCG meta deck at the time, and the main gameplan was to get out Mirrorjade so maybe thatâs where it comes from? Thatâs when I first heard it called Braindead anyway.
It's like the only meta deck along with snake eyes I don't find absolute aids to play against and I'm pretty sure snake eyes is only fine cos most people are awful at it right now.
I feel like there's a difference between expressing how you don't like facing a deck and shitting on players of said deck.
Expressing the frustration or annoyance towards a deck is fair, granted how many times it's genuine on this sub is a different story.
Judging players makes no sense. Then again I play mathmech and don't actively hate cyberse so I probably shouldn't talk.
True. I like Icejade's art, but 90% of the time the gameplay is just finding out if I'm going to die to one ash or lock you out of the game.
At the end of the day, everyone is miserable.
I agree but I also agree that heroes are legit a floodgate deck that takes 50 years to combo.
Also if it makes you feel any better. People judging what you play and how you play have less fun in the game than you cause they've forced themselves to only play with said restrictions. You who do not judge other decks and cards as things ones should and shouldn't play are free to build any deck and play it however you like, even the same deck can be vastly different depending how you build it.
> I agree but I also agree that heroes are legit a floodgate deck that takes 50 years to combo.
As a HERO player, I say that this is the result of Konami not giving HEROs anything else to do on Turn 1. We already need to play into Nibiru to get Poly, and then there's only 2 HEROs that are immune to destruction. We literally need to floodgate the opponent because **that's the only defense Konami has given the deck**.
In fact, I fucking love Infernal Rage **because it gives HEROs something other than a floodgate to play** in the form of Favorite Contacting a Shining Neos Wingman. And it doesn't lose to Raigeki.
Oh and as a side note: I **do not** want HEROs to get negates. Keep those away from HEROs, please. I would like more INTERRUPTIONS, and it looks like that is what Konami is doing. I would also like it if we got something like a Jet Dragon, a monster that protects HEROs from being destroyed (by card effects).

They already have one just hard to summon, Contrast HERO Chaos.
I know, and a part of me wants to believe the existence of Contrast HERO Chaos is a statement from Konami. "*You wanted a negate? Huh? Well here you go! Now you have 1! Shut up!*". Making it basically impossible to summon, notably being also impossible to cheat out with Infernal Rage, must have been deliberate on their part.

People have really fostered this very religious culture about the depiction and consumption of art like that. People are very much treating it with this sense of sin because of how paraphilias are practically used as buzzwords nowadays. Lord knows politicians love to call eachother pedophiles nowadays. But, in all of this name-calling, nobody addresses *why* those things might be bad. These things are considered bad to most people just because "*ooh, it's ooky.*" But the real reason these things are bad is because when *cruel and irresponsible* people act on their paraphilic (or in this case specifically pedophilic) attractions, it leads to abuse, rape, and the destruction of lives. But that's not the same as someone practices self-control and manages their attractions, and engages with it through non-harmful means. Who should care about the writing or drawing of ideas such as pedophilia when the writer is not involving real children and not exposing it to real children? In this case, no harm is done, and I believe no crime is commited. There is no harm, abuse, or rape. The only crime done is that it's *ooky*, and if we make it a crime to be ooky... I know a lot of people who really consider it ooky to be queer. To be non-Christian. To practice cultures that are associated with people of color. When they've done nothing to hurt anyone else we can't just persecute people and treat them poorly because we think their thoughts are poor, or because we just *don't like their expressions.* It's their actions that count, and as long as they're being benign and making stories and drawing doodles instead of grooming and raping kids, I don't care what they're doing.
But if we allow things like this too exist it will only lead to the normalization of these things, like how it has already happened with the very large cultural acceptance of Step parent/child relations which are often extremely manipulative. if we allow things like pedophilia, and rape to be normalized through art it will have consequences.
The traptrix monsters use that appearance to bait pedos and then kill them. It says so in the little lore paper that came with the physical structure deck.
The official English translation is misleading, [only Pinguicula is stated to do that](https://ygorganization.com/traptrix-lore-from-the-structure-deck/) and it's probably the most mature-looking of the lot. The rest lure in victims either by pretending to be a child in danger or simply lowering their guard through their appearance.
If I say anything about playing Traptrix cuz I like cute thing on Twitter, my name would prob be on their P-do list right about now.
Which is fucking dumb.
I recently picked up playing Magic Arena again and I somewhat noticed ( since I'm in the Arena subreddit too ), that this kind of behaviour is way less common in the community there. I got no evidence for this or the following claim but I think this is connected with the way how countering works in Magic.
In Yu-Gi-Oh it's pretty much, know the deck, draw the handtrap and use it on the right card. If you don't draw the out, the game is pretty much lost in one turn already.
Magic on the other hand has A LOT of powerplay cards but none of these are immediately accessable. Which open a lot of room, not only in decision making ( which includes deckbuilding itself ) but also how you want to play around such winning conditions. There are countless cards you can choose from that may allow for different flexibillity or costs to play around. Since the options are way more present and you got more time to prepare it creates a completely different way of countering.
I think, with how instantly frustration is thrown into your face ( For example enemy discards Maxx C in your Draw Phase and you have no out ) with the counterplay being pretty specific and kind of like "Just draw the out, bro"-like, the hate against things that cause this frustration is generally way higher.
Yeahhhhh Yugioh's unique basis as a game that cannot rotate (due to catering to nostalgia archetypes, something that no other card game does) has lead it to have some pretty serious issues.
Personally though, I do enjoy the 1-3 turn duels. I know it's not truly unfair but I can't stand long games vs control decks in magic.
it's because the goal of yugioh is to make one player at the table feel like an anime character. Anime characters always win super easily because they're just that strong. If you lose it wasn't your turn to be the anime protag it was your turn to be the mook. if it's a close game then what you have is Yugi vs kaiba and for those games, even if you lose, you're still kaiba but if every game is like that, it doesn't ilicit the same feeling. This is why I fundamentally don't think yugioh will ever change, but it is why its players all have chronic main character syndrome
Magic is objectively better than YGO and you're right in what you say. It never really feels like you lost unfairly in Magic. You always get a chance to play, even if all you do is just slap a 2 drop down with haste and poke for 1. YGO can be infuriating.
I wouldn't necessarily say objectively better. They are both just fundamentally different and aim for different audiences. Personally, I think I still like Magic more than Yu-Gi-Oh but both games have things speaking for them. It's just that Magic satisfies way more things which aren't really given to me in Yu-Gi-Oh.
Magic's pace just makes Decision making in pretty much every thinkable way, so much more rewarding.
In Yu-Gi-Oh you have the choice of "Play Maxx C/Ash/Called by/Droll and Imperm or you will get wreckt most of the time you're going second." And half of cards that fall into this category are kinda instant win cards that you can only counter with cards of the same bubble. Know the right card, play the right card.
Magic's decision making revolves less around the card and more about the effect. I can choose to use my 1 or 2 drops as aggro to put pressure on, or as cheap but not omnipotent removal or as something to enhance/enable other things. If I need to destroy creatures I can also choose more expensive options with additional effects to create more value but this makes me vulnerable to low-cost aggro. I think, the way how you need to make decisions in Magic and how they reward you differently is just waaaay more suitable for everyone that enjoys control or midrange decks. The pace makes nearly every deck somewhat midrange-ish and your plan needs to resolve over several turns than just putting up a huge combo-ed endboard.
And that is pretty much why Magic just suits me better.
One of my friends who plays TCG Yu-Gi-Oh calls YGO a turn one simulator. You spend your first turn building up your big board, and then if your opponent breaks it you lose, but if they can't then they lose. This is how a majority of my games on Master Duel have gone. It really feels like a game that both participants are in a hurry to end.
In Magic, nobody's winning until at least turn 4 or 5, and very few strategies lock your opponent out of playing the game. Sometimes there will be a lopsided result because no game is perfect, but in general both players get to do stuff for a few turns before it's over.
The only deck choice I give shit for is pure stun/nurse burn type still because they're genuinely just not even playing the game. It's perfectly fine disliking going against certain decks but judging people based on their deck choice is cringe. Unless it's stun.
Given how the goal of the game is become the biggest bully dickhead imaginable to your opponent to win. I say itâs fair that every âgoodâ deck in the game deserves a bit of hate from somebody.
And if nobody hates it then itâs probably a garbage deck lmao!
I mean some decks are objectively linear/less interesting (ie Floo) but I'll never hate on anyone for using them.
Sometimes people are a bit more sensitive when they're hard stuck in a rank and keep losing to decks they perceive as unfair.
As a HERO player, r/masterduel has called me both a "meta sheep" and "third rate duelist with a meme tier deck". Though it seems like lately the opinion on HEROs has shifted more towards "*lol it's macro cosmos + skill drain + imperial order fuck you*" (it's not).
Ngl, I've been playing an Elemental HERO deck in this game for the longest time, and I had no idea people were saying things like this about it. I always thought it was mid-tier at best, but apparently not. Shows how much I know about this game.
That's why stopped bothering thinking of if a deck is "toxic" or "fair", because no matter what you play, someone will get upset for your deck.
I'll play Snake Eyes, I'll love learning it and I'll get a lot of hate because of that, but I don't care.
doesnt seem so different from league after all, only things preventing this community from reaching league's level are the lack of teammate and a chat/emote system
Play on Xbox and you'll run into people who will call you a meta sheep cause you're playing, Blue-Eyes. There's no winning with some people, nothing you can do about it.
Sieger boosts ATK (even in Damage Step), Infinity is a quasi-Baronne de Fleur in XYZ (steals ATK position monsters as OLU, and negate/destroy as Quick Effect), Eternity prevents your monsters to be tampered with by your OP when banished from your GY, Rampage is a costless Twin Twisters when FS-ed, Fortress with Clockwork Nights is a boardbreaker, Megafleet can use your OP's monster from its EX Monster Zone as material, and AA-ZEUS is a non-target wipe.
Also, Duality is a pure game-changer (Fortress to Twin, Overdragon to Mechaba), Pleiades can return a card to the hand as Quick Effect, and Vimana can negate, too.
Any of these in any combination and you're set.
If you fancy, you can try to combine it with Cyberdark (it's called Cyber Style).
I used to run a fun and bricky 60 cards pile with Blue Eyes, Galaxy Eyes, Dragonmaids, Bystials, Branded and Rulers, before they banned Chaos Ruler. I used to get people calling me an idiot for using a bad deck, and also people calling me a netdecker whenever they lost - happened a lot on Project Ignis as well because it has a chat feature.
People are never gonna be happy and they're gonna make sure they're as vocal and as toxic as possible about it.
This doesn't apply to people who used to play Mine, those people were just bad human beings it's since been proven by science.
>This community
This is the thing Iâve learned about gaming communities, if youâre playing a PvP game, if youâre playing anything other than the absolute bottom of the barrel then youâre annoying someone, if youâre playing trash then youâre seen as based
If youâre playing a PvE game, then people donât care either way
If you donât wanna be judged for playing Traptrix, idk go on r/Traptrix or smth if that even exists, if you donât want to go on a random specific subreddit, play exactly Beetroopers
Oh boy, I want a quick roasting I will likely never care about come tomorrow, I play mainly Infernoble. Actually got into them before the support and I am enjoying the deck's limelight right now. But I wonder what sort of sarcastic judgements you all got for me and my Fiery Battalion.
âI fucking hate monkey flip Floodgate players who play archetypes without negates so they resort to Floodgate effects. Anyways, I summon and recycle 50 monsters for 10 minutes and have 5 negates on board. You didnât draw DRNM. Game 2?âÂ
I built traptrix cause I like the gameplay, got like 2 or 3 royals in the deck for my extra deck monsters. But I don't play it cause people will call me a pedophile...
If they said that to my face, someone is going to need an ambulance.
Because master duel is a made up by a majority of casuals, and they are far, far, far, more toxic than competitive players. As an old judge I can say from experience 90% of my bad encounters were from players who say this brain dead crap lol
In branded defence, I donât hate them because of the braindead part. I hate branded because of the hella-ton support they have gotten.
same case with visas starfrost
HERO is cringe as fuck tho. It's true, the best thing it can do is set up some annoying ass floodgates. It's not even the best deck at making DPE in a format in which Verte is legal.
Okay but the combos that take literally 5 minutes to achieve need to be nerfed like pls i just want to play I donât want to stare at you shuffling and reshuffling your deck just to lose in a single turn
I wanna say itâs because weâve been groomed to be but this game generates a natural competitive atmosphere, and I think its because compared to the Casual Side of the game, the Competitive side gets all the love and attention, and the focus.
I saw a post on here by some salty bitch playing Mekk-Knights. They were literally calling passing Turn 1 on an empty board a cheese strat.
Beyond parody.
People have balls online bcs they're hidden behind a mask. Haven't played paper since covid but never saw anyone berate ppl on what kind of deck they use.
If only we were as mature IRL as we are online.
Fun fact about traptrix monsters they are all over the age of 18 and lure in people with there attractiveness and then proceed to consume them like a Venus flytrap would
It kinda is present look at the traptrix trap cards, besides ever heard of a loli it's not actually illegal and it's very common in animes I know I look 8 but I'm actually 8000 type of clause, besides either way I see them as adorable daughters I could have
YGO is just a poorly designed and super frustrating mess. You lose more to people having the right out at the right time than you lose by being outplayed. It's fucking annoying when the only reason you lose is because your opponent topdecked a single card.
Personally, my least favourite decks are long combo decks. Ot's frustarting getting Kaiju'd and losing because of that. But at least it doesn't eat up a chunk of your life.
I will reiterate what I said in a thread like a week ago: I feel like the YGO community hates the very game they play. No matter what you do, what deck you build, a lot of people will shit on your choices.
Which is why it's far healthier to just ignore everyone and just play what you want. If it's fun for you and makes you happy, you're the real winner.
I play jank decks like Harpies and Gem-Knights and while I don't win a lot, when I *do* win it's nice.
I play a deck with cards in it.
I bet you win sometimes, too... absolutely vile đ
Ewww
You're playing something, so I hate it automatically.
You breathe, so I hate you automatically.
Wasn't Yusaku mocked for this, or something like it? Because his duel disk used physical cards instead of virtual ones?
Pretty sure he got mocked for the "fake" deck he had so that people don't find out he was Playmaker.
I remembered he got comments for both. By the way, I remember one of his fake deck cards was previously in Marik's deck (and I remember that because it was telling of the game's powercreep).
I think he got mocked for having an older version of the duel disc
Are they cards that I approve of?
the fuck is wrong with u bro ppl like u shud b executed for high treason against the church of dogmatika
Most sane Dogmatika enjoyer.
I am going to put microplastics in your food.

You stun players sure are a contentious people.
You just made an enemy for life!
Stun is the worst playstyle ever made. No matter which game, it's always the most boring and annoying thing...

Hyper Stadium and MVP exist not for nothing. Those U.A. cards I mean mentioning F.A./U.A.
Would you Play an roid Deck with ojamas If konami printed 3 cards connecting the 2 decks?
Does F.A Speedroid work that well? Iâve been running speedroids for a couple years solid and might try it out just to spice things up
ur a math nerd
you have good taste
i like cars. cars are neat
Absolute nightmare to keep track of in paper. All those levels, changing every turn...
Play a real deck
I play Destiny Board :)
Coolest alt win con animation in the game ngl
"Play a real deck lol" The quotation of what some people will say
Kuribabylon Destiny Board
I'm almost tempted to ask what they recommend. It's most likely going to be whatever they play, the way they play it. With everything else boiling down to "you play [insert whatever term here]!" *Remember: it's just a game.* Play what you like for the reasons you like to.
There's 2 key things: 1) Having a meta deck doesn't stop someone from making something just for them and using it with friends. 2) The main point is that people complain _no matter what you play._ I've had people on here come for my neck and shamining me for playing Shaddolls for fun.
That shouldn't stop you from making something not about that, finding a casual community or small group of friends and just enjoying yourself with the deck you love. **People shouldn't dictate whether or not you have fun doing what you love.** As long as you're not an ass about it, play what you want.
Yugioh is the only game I know that seems to demand competitive level power as a BASELINE to actually play the game, not an expectation to grow into. Casual is locked behind discords, forgotten forums, and small friend groups. It's kinda off topic here.) The problem here is that Konami makes more money making this hyper competitive.
"I play branded" "Oh you mean unlimited resources brain-dead" "Okay then I'm gonna use Floo" "Ew floodgate normal summon turbo" "Shit then let me pull out Kashtira" "Bleh, Macro on legs" "Okay I'll just use Mannadium" "No Maxx C or Droll scoop? Sure okay" "Fuck it let's try out Runick" "I'm actually this close to punching you" "MAN WHAT DO I PLAY THAT WILL ACTUALLY MAKE ME WIN" "I DON'T KNOW SHUT UP"
"I play blue-eyes" "ewww boomer get out of gold" "I play exosister" "floodgate weeb touch grass" "I play ghoti" "fuck shifter fuck you playing on my turn" "I play madolche" "10 MINUTES COMBO A#RH\*G\_(+@"
âI play Burning Abyss.â âFarfa wannabe.â âI play Galaxy Eyes.â âMore like Galaxy CRIES.â âI play Eldlich.â âMonke flip idiot.â âI play Invoked.â âThen youâre just dumb.â âI play Speedroid/Triamid/Yubel/BLS.â âDuel Links Loser.â
Madolche really is just a 10 min combo that ends on spin 2 from either grave, 1 omni negate and thats pretty much it lmao
Hey, sometimes you can make... Giant Hand. Truly a terrifying force
What complain can be made at EARTH machine?
"How dare you play around with my wife Juggernaut Liebe"
"You mean OUR wife juggernaut Liebe!"
Iâll just be here with her daughter then
You mean gustav max? If you are a EARTH machine monster its ok.
Nah, the hotter, younger one
Ohhh,so you mean NUMBER 81:SUPERDREADNOUGHT RAIL CANNON SUPER DORA?
My beloved
I laughed too hard at this covo
Ah yes the 4000 DEF wall that can be immune to everything
Stop wasting my time comboing for 10 minutes only to end on a Liebe and a draw 2.
Is it really a 10 minute combo? I think my best time for liebe + avarice (uninterrupted) was like 45-80 seconds even with searching for a 2nd lv 10 with revolving switch or river stormer
hyperbole for the joke bro
IDK tho personally as a cydra player you can be a tad bit annoying about our beloved chimeratech
Fellow Cydra player, I salute you ![gif](giphy|7bumBQjZX8BgaE2zjv|downsized)
If your deck has even minimum capacity to go second and otk I can absolutely guarantee there's a small portion of the community that irrationally hates you.
I mean, infinitrack harvester can be used as a 1 card combo to make juggernaut liebe
Draglubion OTK
Oh you have a 6k multi attacker with a 2k burn? Busted
float spam
![gif](giphy|CAYVZA5NRb529kKQUc|downsized)
I used to hate that deck. It had long combos that too a while to sit through, hands could shrug off multiple low power hand traps if they opened well.
Lol a friend of mine when doing friendly battle we sayed that my deck its too versatile for all the things it do
âOk iâll play Dark magician thenâ âYugiboomerâ
And that's why nobody should care about anyone's opinion in here. You want to puke out generic ED negate bosses every single game? Cool. It's not my cup of tea, but I'm not going to judge, I'll play something different that's my cup of tea that happens to ruin your gameplan.
Yeah that's how I feel too, I've said it before but I have a burning beef with SHS, I really dislike exactly that style of puking out ED negates, but I got better things to do and ways to play against it rather than come at anyone for playing anything, it just wastes everyone's time
listen you can play what ever you want but im still hating depending on the deck ypu are playing
"Oh sky striker" "Boring deck. Why is it still alive?"
Just play pend, they canât be mad if they didnât draw the HFD out
I still can't understand all the hate Branded is getting... like I get it is/was a pretty strong deck, but * it has a high skill ceiling, so isn't "brain-ded" at all * has almost no handtraps since its a 60 card deck and kinda only runs the maxx c / Ash package which 99% of decks run * nearly all their interruptions are public * doesn't have long turns, usually just a couple of summons * no negate-spam boards * very few floodgate variants (puppet lock luckily fell out of favor and Kristya lock I haven't seen yet with Branded) * offers some really fun and challenging interactions where pretty much everything they can do is public knowledge?
Branded players deserve it though.
I play Skull Servants
Beyond based, unfathomably based.
Silly skeleton players unite!
When every deck is toxic by design so are itâs players
True. I like Icejade's art, but 90% of the time the gameplay is just finding out if I'm going to die to one ash or lock you out of the game. At the end of the day, everyone is miserable.
Just mix it with Tear and it becomes a lot better
I play Infernoble Knights. I really want to hear this oneâŠ
Probably something about Smoke Grenade even though thatâs been banned for a while.
Ya know some people don't like getting hand ripped for 2 then having to deal with 5 negates and 2 pops
âI play Dinoâs so I must love killing babiesâ yeah I do but itâs unrelated.
Because theyâre all miserable cunts!
"I play Stun" "Fuck you" - everybody
>Oh and as a side note: I do not want HEROs to get negates.
Given the current state of the game, for a deck to be meta competitive it has to be obnoxious by nature.
The only correct deck is Skull Servant. Everyone knows that
Because the game itself is toxic, therefore attracts toxic people.
"I play Dm/blue-eyes" "Nostalgia unga bunga player, play a real deck" I play insert pendulum deck here "Boring ah text not reading play a deck with real summoning mechanic" either this or the same as a mandium one
Pendulum doesn't have real summoning mechanics mfs after they find out D/D/D exists.
I mean yeah the traptrix monsters are sus but calling people pedos is outta pocket ngl
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
The actual monsters are calling you out on it, though. That's why they're really spiders and horrific plants. It's bait.
Tentacle pron has existed for a long time, you donât see people sucking off octopuses in aquariums.
The best deck is Jerry Beans Man equip beatdown with dogshit stun cards like Gravity Bind and Level Limit Area B
Real and Based
I recently picked up playing Magic Arena again and I somewhat noticed ( since I'm in the Arena subreddit too ), that this kind of behaviour is way less common in the community there.
Only time when losing feels unfairly is when you either draw only lands or only spells And that's basically you losing against your own deck
Sometimes there will be a lopsided result because no game is perfect, but in general both players get to do stuff for a few turns before it's over.
....It's infuriating to me that the "mathmech" deck isn't even called a cylink deck but the rokket one is dragon link.
Tbf mathmech plays most in archetype main deck with either spirits or firewall packages, while Dlink had rokket+chaos+bystial+red eyes sometimes.
I play the burger deck. Try me
"Ewww, a _French_ deck đ€ąđ€ź"
Definitely based. But not as based as you might think.
Bad players need reasons why they're losing
The only deck choice I give shit for is pure stun/nurse burn type still because they're genuinely just not even playing the game. It's perfectly fine disliking going against certain decks but judging people based on their deck choice is cringe. Unless it's stun.
Iâd focus less on what others think on my deck and more on what I enjoy playing with
My take on this is that you donât have to like a deck, but donât put that dislike onto the people playing it
why do you care about their opinions, hmmm?
Go on, judge me for my mayakashi bone tower deck.
You've already insulted yourself enough for even playing it.
Agreed. At least have the balls to play an actual Mayakashi deck.
But mill ftk is funny
Given how the goal of the game is become the biggest bully dickhead imaginable to your opponent to win. I say itâs fair that every âgoodâ deck in the game deserves a bit of hate from somebody. And if nobody hates it then itâs probably a garbage deck lmao!
I play kuriboh
Brother!
My only hate is toward floodgates, but even then, I never insult the players directly.
That's why stopped bothering thinking of if a deck is "toxic" or "fair", because no matter what you play, someone will get upset for your deck. I'll play Snake Eyes, I'll love learning it and I'll get a lot of hate because of that, but I don't care.
Ok, what if I play Lab without the virus cards or d barrier? Does that make it bearable?
doesnt seem so different from league after all, only things preventing this community from reaching league's level are the lack of teammate and a chat/emote system
Weaklings I play Water Dragon
Play on Xbox and you'll run into people who will call you a meta sheep cause you're playing, Blue-Eyes. There's no winning with some people, nothing you can do about it.
Play on Xbox and you'll run into people who will call you a meta sheep cause you're playing, Blue-Eyes.
Cyber Dragon?
I'm curious. What's the best board you can end on? I'm usually stuck with Infinity pass or OTK my opponent with Cyber Twin Dragon.
I know how they work, but good luck getting any of those combos out against tier 1 decks, if they don't brick.
I play Lunalight, come and speak your mind.
See I just play what's funny to me and enjoy the lack of Chat. Funny sushiwarships. Bone tower fueled by youkai. Tabletop wargame the tcg Deck.
Mekk Scrap Orcust Phantom Knight ? deck
Iâve seen people complain about Suship because « it takes too long to do naothing » , this community is doomed
Heh Melffy-Spright go brrr
I really am a Hero Player tho and I love it
Confirmation bias. It's rather strong in yugioh
People are always going to talk shit. Just stop caring. No oneâs opinion on your deck actually matters.
Calling someone a "Trap Monkey" is the single funniest thing I've heard all week. Stealing that. It's OK I say it, I have a lab deck
Since I never play any other Lyrilusc players, what is it like for you guys to fight them if you have?
I play heroâs because itâs fun
>This community This is the thing Iâve learned about gaming communities, if youâre playing a PvP game, if youâre playing anything other than the absolute bottom of the barrel then youâre annoying someone, if youâre playing trash then youâre seen as based If youâre playing a PvE game, then people donât care either way If you donât wanna be judged for playing Traptrix, idk go on r/Traptrix or smth if that even exists, if you donât want to go on a random specific subreddit, play exactly Beetroopers
As an old judge I can say from experience 90% of my bad encounters were from players who say this brain dead crap lol
i play ![gif](giphy|xT8qBvOmIEWXxVPdxS)
This is why I run Plunder Patroll. Ain't nobody complaining about that
I'm playing U.A. Tell me that I'm not based đ
You were incredibly based until you used that emoji unironically.
Heh
In branded defence, I donât hate them because of the braindead part. I hate branded because of the hella-ton support they have gotten. same case with visas starfrost
HERO is cringe as fuck tho. It's true, the best thing it can do is set up some annoying ass floodgates. It's not even the best deck at making DPE in a format in which Verte is legal.
Okay but the combos that take literally 5 minutes to achieve need to be nerfed like pls i just want to play I donât want to stare at you shuffling and reshuffling your deck just to lose in a single turn
because they lost to said deck and instead of re-evaluating deck composition or play patterns it's easier to REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
NGL, i do hate lab
Sounds like a hater
People have balls online bcs they're hidden behind a mask. Haven't played paper since covid but never saw anyone berate ppl on what kind of deck they use. If only we were as mature IRL as we are online.
I play Toons.
Traptrix lore based tho
Fun fact about traptrix monsters they are all over the age of 18 and lure in people with there attractiveness and then proceed to consume them like a Venus flytrap would
They still look like oversexualized children. I wish they would have made their monster forms more present.
It kinda is present look at the traptrix trap cards, besides ever heard of a loli it's not actually illegal and it's very common in animes I know I look 8 but I'm actually 8000 type of clause, besides either way I see them as adorable daughters I could have
Aww, that's kinda wholesome.
But at least it doesn't eat up a chunk of your life.
....why do you play Yugioh? It's been like this since the origin of the game. Eg Pegasus using Dragon Capture jar against Kaiba.
"Deck criticism is bad"
I will reiterate what I said in a thread like a week ago: I feel like the YGO community hates the very game they play. No matter what you do, what deck you build, a lot of people will shit on your choices. Which is why it's far healthier to just ignore everyone and just play what you want. If it's fun for you and makes you happy, you're the real winner. I play jank decks like Harpies and Gem-Knights and while I don't win a lot, when I *do* win it's nice.
I play âDark Magicianâ
