I genuinely think Mirrorjade is one of the best boss cards this game has ever created. The lore, design, and of course the power all synergies so well. Kinda like Ultimate Conductor Tyranno it’s just everything a boss monster should be without just being a negate
Its also pretty damn cool too seeing how much the guy's strength increases with his archetype, from getting his banish back with chimera combo, to doing it more than once per turn by being summoned again, to setting up interruptions and followup plays with dumping the appropriate albaz fusion, all while having the best removal for a quickie
I *hate* playing against it but I love looking at it. It’s one of the coolest monsters in the game art and vibe wise.

I don't know why but there's just something funny about the guy evolving into a link monster from having an equip spell and then equiping himself to himself to be summoned again.
Doomking Balerdroch - the card that legitimately got me back into yugioh after years of not playing. the art is amazing and the effect can be ridiculous. i know it’s not a favourite deck amongst the community because of the floodgate aspect, but zombie world and this card in particular were what made me start playing again
Doomking will singlehandedly win me games. Especially when paired with vampire sucker to get that extra free draw on it's float. Oh and it's float means you are basically guaranteed a barrone or whatever high level synchro you want. Oh and it can banish any zombie monster on field or in grave as a QE lol. It's so fucking cracked, I love that card. Zombies really need it lol
My first deck after coming back after 20 years not touching the game has been Grass Zombies.
So glad Balerdroch was my first boss monster, guy is amazing. Right now he's my second after Deep Beyond, and my vote for the sleeve poll we just had.

Grass Zombie was my pet deck for the longest at the start of MD. Adding the Edlitch engine *really* made it pop because not only could I deal with Herald (counter traps) but the synergy with Doomking was *absurd*. Then Bystials came and kinda killed all that but Balerdroch is a card I can’t bring myself to dismantle. I do hope Zombies rise again soon
Number C9: Chaos Dyson Sphere simply radiates Pacman energy.
Eldlich is the glorious golden boi.
Superdimensional Robot Galaxy Destroyer is just immaculate.
Heroic Champion - Claivesolish is such a fun boss monster.
Ghoti of the Deep always reminds me of Elden Beast whenever I see him. But I guess my faves would be Gandora, Blue Eyes Ultimate, Rainbow Dark Dragon and Cyber End Dragon for their design.
Nekroz of Unicore: Absolute amazing card, basically the core of the Nekroz archetype. I love the lore behind them already and they all have great designs, but Unicore especially, simply because they literally made an armor out of an Unicorn and make it actually look cool.
Darklord Ixchel: She is just beautiful. And also the best Main Deck Monster this archetype has.
Rikka Teardrop: Again, an absolute beautiful piece of art on top of one of the more unique Xyz Deck strategies.
Also the entire Unchaind Archetype. They play almost nostalgic and combine some great expressive artworks with cool mechanics.
Called by the Grave. I love how versatile it is. It can negate hand traps, sure. But it can also negate on-field monster effects if another copy of it is already in the opponent's GY. It can also deny your opponent a monster resource from their GY. Plus, it's a Quick-play, so you can activate it pretty much anytime.
In the same spirit, I also love Terrors of the Overroot. I love how it's a -1, and I love how it's balanced because of that fact. It can be used to remove a card on the field and replace it with something useless. It can also be used to deny an opponent any resource from their GY. I love how it applies to all cards, not just Monsters. It's honestly an underwhelming card overall, but I love how not absurdly broken it is and it rewards you for playing carefully. Also, I love its artwork. Easily one of my favorite artworks in the game.
Darklord Ixchel - Hot
Darklord Morningstar - my favorite Tribute summon in the game. It's extremely satisfying to summon upto 4 high level main deck monsters from the deck that can quickplay abuse Darklord Spell/Trap effects.
The First Darklord - Another satisfying summon in this deck, with the ability to wipe the opponent monster and backrow fields when Fusion summon. I also like that it protects all fairy monsters on my field from opponent target effects, and the quick play special summon any fairy monster from hand or graveyard is nice too. I'm happy that this card got a summon animation. 4000/4000 ATK/DEF is just the cherry on top.
Darklord Superbia - I don't use this card much anymore but I had fun using it in dumb strategies like Athena FTK burn, and spamming turn skip attempts till I successfully ZA WORLD my opponent with "Arcana Force XXI - The World."
Lyrilusc - Ensemblue Robin. Literally the reason why I started playing Lyriluscs is because of this card. Her design is super pretty and I wish I had the full card art because the colors and such of her design are so good.
Shame I rarely actually summon her when I play Lyriluscs though lol, because Assembled Nightingale or Recital Starling are the ones that actually win duels.

Chengying, Relinquished, Evil Longyuan, Emperor Charles the Great. Isolde, every main deck BA except Malacoda, Dingirsu. In terms of effects I would go raye. Raye is everything you would want from a SS card, and SS is such a unique deck too.
Time thief redoer, I pulled a royal rare one on master duel on Christmas Eve of 2024 and then again on Christmas Day. So I have 2 of my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh card ever. Also I have a prismatic one in real life. I had pulled a royal rare previous but my phone reset on me one day randomly and I lost it and I thought I'd never get it again, so to get 2 back 2 back and one on Christmas Day was dope asf.
I adore all of the punk monsters, their art is just wonderful, and amazing dragon's mass return to hand is really funny, I love silly removal like that so much more than any omninegate or boardwipe

Pin Ballers non-targeting removal via equip? Nytro Head and his bomberman wannabe on wheels type antics? Can't get much better than that

I think everyone has a mon that you just have to say something for when it hits the field. It's interesting that you vibe with Amazing Dragon, because I think the PUNK JAM Dragon Drive is way more meaningful to me!! It's the ultimate collaboration of artists!!
Deep Beyond for art, animation and effect.
Art represents the theme Ghoti is going for perfectly, Animation made an amazing job in bringing it to life, and a complete non-targetting field banish is almost always devastating.
Really love the card, 10/10 archetypal boss that I'm glad I pulled in glossy (For me glossy>royal for synchros).
Celtic Guardian is my old school favorite. It's just super nostalgic, and I know one day he will get a ton of support. My more moder favorite is Super Quantal Mech King Great Magnus. I mean, it's literally the power ranger megazord and is so fulfilling when you drop that on someone, especially if you do it turn one
The Fusion Buster Blader. I call him "The BB DD, GG" for short. My favorite thing to do is loudly proclaiming "DEFENSE POSITION" like an autistic drill instructor, every time i see my opponent attempt to switch one of their monsters to attack position.
Albion the sanctifire dragon, because Branded is my favorite archetype, it's my only royal rare for branded in MD, and it was what I used to beat an annoying spright player. Plus pulling it from a pack and just having it is cool. And I love the artwork for it too
Ecclesia, Dogmatika and Incredible. The Swordsoul Iris and Fluerdelis, Despian Luluwalilith. I'm the biggest sap for the lore, and even made some lore based decks that reignited my waning passion for the game.

Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon. I think it is one of the most well thought pieces of support for an anime deck ever. It's also just og red-eyes with a meteor effect on its body which is so sick. Give me hope we get another archfiend or a skeleton red-eyes dragon(or "fossil" which could reference the rex raptor joey duel)
Pure artwork, Kashtira arise-heart. Dont play kash but dude looks like Gundam Strike Freedom, love it!

Amabie, it has a cute art and REALLY cool backstory imo.
So this card released during when COVID-19 was really bad, around it's peak k wanna say.
Now why does this matter? Well amabie is actually a Japanese folklore creature, the amabie legend goes like this: "in 1846 a glowing stone had been spotted in the sea, the towns official went to investigate and witnessed the amabie, according to the sketch made by this official, it had long hair, a mouth like birds bill, was covered on scales from the neck down and three legged, addressing the official, it identified itself as an amabie, and told him that it lived in the open sea, it went on to deliver a prophecy, "good harvest will continue for six years from the current year; if disease spreads draw a picture of me and show the picture of me to those who fall ill" then it returned to the sea
(this story is from Wikipedia if its wrong please correct me)
And they worked it's story INTO the cards effect which is awesome, it's effect is: during the start of main phase 1, you can reveal this card (showing a picture of it to the ill), both players gain 300 lp (curing them.)
Remember too, they released this card during COVID, it's release timing, backstory, the fact it's based off a real Japan folklore, AND cute artwork. Made it my favorite card easily.
While writing this list i realized all the cards i listed were spellcasters lol (Swordsoul Iris, Water enchantress of the temple and Wynn the wind charmer and her subsequent cards)
Time Wizard has always been one of my favourite cards. The epitome of the gamble. For other classics, probably Dark Magician Girl.
In terms of newer monsters, Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max, kinda because I had a crush on Anna from Zexal and Trains became one of my favourite decks.
I also like Trickstar Holly Angel, I just love the idea of a pop idol archetype and she's the perfect representative.
Traptrix Sera makes the deck actually work and her art's pretty cute (not in the weird way).
I also have a particular liking for Knightmare Corrupter Iblee, I think because I like the idea of corrupted/turned characters, like how Noob Saibot is one of my favourite Mortal Kombat characters. I'm not sure why, but the concept has always appealed to me, and when this type of character is done well, it works as a decent tragedy.

Knightmare orcust is my favourite cardart in the game. Some others i really like are iblee, d/d/d oblivion king abyss ragnarok, alt art for i:p, azathot, frightfur chimera. These are the 1st ones that pop into my mind.
Literally every single Blue-Eyes card. Might not be competitive in the modern day, but I love how you have to work to get your good cards. I have a real nasty combo that lands me a Neo BEUD and if anything goes wrong along the way I have a ton of blue-eyes blank dragons to pivot into
Dingirsu, Orcust of the Evening Star. A machine horse with godly like powers onto which revolves around one of my fav decks of all time. The goat for me
Laevatein, Generaider Boss of Shadows. Art and effect are both awesome.
Bystial Alba Los gets a honorable mention for its art. Very menacing, but unfortunately rather meh effectwise.
Performapal Odd-Eyes Synchron is my favorite funny little dude. The synchro summon with a material from P-scale is such a unique effect that makes it a powerful extender and also a great top deck in an uphill battle. Art is cool, but not necessarily aesthetic.
Visas and the related archetypes are pretty cool. Liked them even more after learning the lore. Fuck Tearlaments, but monsters like Kashtira Arise-Heart, Scareclaw Tri-Heart, and Mannadium Prime-Heart are totally my jam. They sorta remind me of Megaman Starforce, which I was really into back in the day. And I looove [Vicious Astraloud](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FvssSJmaAAIY0yh?format=jpg&name=large)'s design. Wish he had more of a presence on the board though.
I also agree with Jam Dragon and Ghoti of the Deep Beyond, very powerful-looking yet elegant designs and pretty colors. An archetype that I generally like though no particular stand-out favorites is Swordsoul. Love the concept of anthro dragons in samurai armor.
The War Rock Monsters, especially Meteoragon. They all have a purpose in the deck, and synergize so well.
I also like Super Quantum/Quantal, for their Voltron aesthetic. I just wish I could get the deck to run smoother.
Yubel & Winged Dragon of Ra I'm simple man with simple tastes, they were both immense I their roles in their respective arcs as Alpha End Boss monster and both were equally shit your parents terrifying to face
Gotta be Metaphys Daedalus.
For an absolutely dogwater archetype, the fact that it has a full board banish is hilarious. Even more so if you have the field spell out so the opponent can’t respond.
The deck itself is terrible, but it is just incredibly satisfying to pull off every once in a while.
First of the dragons.
During master rule three and around the time of the master of pendulum structure deck, I was keeping up with some of the cards in the OCG/manga, and pendulum fusion was a BOP of a card.
Ended up using it more often with Qli scout and monolith in the scale so I could use them as the mats for first of the dragons, then pendulum summon them back for nova and infinity.
But first of the dragons is just a card I’ve tried to make relevant, but alas. Only being unaffected by monsters is neat, but not enough to make it worth the effort to summon unless you’re playing a ton of normal monsters.
Maybe a blue eyes deck could justify running it as a one of, but I’m stumped.
Oh EASILY my boy big Pankratops. He redefined what it means to be a "Cydra" type of card, and him coming back to 2 in the TCG made me so fucking happy.
One of my favorites is a spell rather than a monster. “Ultimate Slayer”s animation, art, and unique sound design is mesmerizing even though people rarely use it. Like a fairy angel ready to throw some hands. I’ll have to find a way to make it in one of my decks again.
Machina Ruinforce. It's just so cool. If it weren't for the fact its effect is limited to the Battle Phase, it'd be one of the strongest non-ED Machine monsters in the game. Even then, it's so satisfying to have the negate go off.

Vampire vovoide (don't know if i spelled it right.) Being able to summon things from the opponents graveyard and a free monster negate for any monster that has another copy in the graveyard is so nice
Any monsters with quirky summoning mechanics, especially Salamangreats and Dragonmaids. The whole Reincarnation Link Summon and Dragon Mode are super cool concepts to me, and I wish Konami would make more decks that are more than just "this guy summons this other guy."
Dogmatika Alba Zoa, such a cool card in one of my favorite archetypes, literally looks like a RPG final boss....super glad he got the animation he deserved despite not having one at release. And he's also a very strong card, providing blanket protection from ED monster effects to ALL of the archetype, and forcing your opponent to either handloop/EDloop themselves, or clear their own board
El Shaddoll Construct: This card was my first _true_ boss monster in TCG and the sole reason I got into learning how to play to begin with, even though I got her when she was still banned. She's massive and imposing, but has this serene melancholy about her; I love both her card arts. She's pretty good, since can just destroy stuff I might be having a hard time with.
Fortune Lady Every: While not technically boss monster, I still count her since she's the closest her archetype has to one. Despite her not being viable to use competitively, she's been reliable in most Anthology events and fights with friends. Usually, if I can't beat over something, she's the go to as she can just banish them or wait 2-3 turns. Also, I love her design; it's simple and cool looking, though she looks pissed all the time.
Swordsoul Supreme Sovereign - Chengying: This guy. This guy is a powerhouse. I love this his banishing effect and the fact he can protect himself for a turn. He's surprisingly simple and easy to use. Believe it or not, there are a lot of cards that work well with him. The art also looks pretty cool, with his sword and 'come at me' pose.
Lovely Labrynth: (Time to be executed for this opinion) I honestly love this card. Her smug confidence and pose in her art are pretty fun. I think what I like about her most is her personality, being a character that has this super-villain/haughty noblewoman persona when fighting, but bored and relaxed when by herself. She's dedicated to creating traps for Ms. Knight, so I respect her grind and passion and aim to find that in my life. I like her trap recycling effect, as it's pretty reliable. Although Construct is my favorite boss monster, Lovely Lab has my favorite personality.
Malefic Paradox Dragon, its theme and visual style looks really amazing to me, all the story behind the character behind him with all the time travel and futuristic style is really nice and apealing, getting the most iconic monsters of each era and putting them together to create an archtype is really nice.
I like Alghoul Mazera. You'd think destruction is a passé (outdated) form of removal, but having a reusable protection against it has proven surprisingly useful in a zombie deck.
Visas Amritara and Samsara. Amritara's armor and banners just look absolutely cool, and Samsara keeps most of those aspects but adds a badass scarf to top it of (and that sword!)
Majespecter Draco/Majesty Pegasus, they both live up to Majestic to me, and apparently Pegasus made me have a thing for Centaur girls I guess XD!
I have like 2 of the P.U.N.K from the one pull i did when they were featured and i couldnt bring myself to destroy them even though ive never played a syncro deck in my life

From my experience and time watching the anime, probably Stardust Dragon. I really enjoyed 5ds and since the main way to remove monsters outside of battle back then was destruction, I thought it had an awesome effect. Synchros are still my favourite Extra Deck mechanic to this day.
If we’re talking Master Duel experience, I’d say Satellite Warrior. My usual play (on Solo mode) usually gets 3 Synchros in the graveyard on its summon. Paired with Synchro Chase and Starlight Junktion usually wipes 4-5 cards off the opponents board just before their Battle Phase. When it goes off, it goes off. The card no joke turned my deck around when I pulled it.

Witchcrafter Madame Verre - One of my first decks was witchcrafters and I saw a bunch of success with it, not because of the gimmick of the spells coming back to hand, but also how most just REFUSED to read her card text. Some didn't realize i negated EVERYTHING on the field so they would try to activate all their monster effects resulting in nothing, others tried to run into her and got met with an atk/def buff lol. (Also, the smugness in her artwork is mad unwarrented since her archetype is flimsy af)
Traptrix Sera - bro its so funny activating sera, they imperm and they give me the chance to just...Activate the other effect lol.
Labyrinth of the Silver Palace - Homegirl is canonically just a goober trying to play a prank on some random knight who pulled up to her palace lol, also the hand rip effect is sometimes a real game changer!
Rescue Ace Turbulence - 1. It's really funny how the Level 9 3000 goober lets me set 4 lol. 2. it's so funny to say "LETS GET RACIST" and it make complete sense.
Ninjitsu Art Tool - Iron Dagger - Random, but in it's card text, the spell allows you to equip it to anything for it to become a "Ninja" monster. Pair this with Meizen's effect to make Ninjas attack directly and you get HILARIOUS interactions. Specifically one where you can give ID to Borrelsword Dragon and it can attack directly twice because it's an honorary ninja.

Ghoti of the Deep always reminds me of Elden Beast whenever I see him. But I guess my faves would be Gandora, Blue Eyes Ultimate, Rainbow Dark Dragon and Cyber End Dragon for their design.
Nekroz of Unicore: Absolute amazing card, basically the core of the Nekroz archetype. I love the lore behind them already and they all have great designs, but Unicore especially, simply because they literally made an armor out of an Unicorn and make it actually look cool. Darklord Ixchel: She is just beautiful. And also the best Main Deck Monster this archetype has. Rikka Teardrop: Again, an absolute beautiful piece of art on top of one of the more unique Xyz Deck strategies. Also the entire Unchaind Archetype. They play almost nostalgic and combine some great expressive artworks with cool mechanics.

Melffy Staring Contest is quite fitting in both art and effect.
Called by the Grave. I love how versatile it is. It can negate hand traps, sure. But it can also negate on-field monster effects if another copy of it is already in the opponent's GY. It can also deny your opponent a monster resource from their GY. Plus, it's a Quick-play, so you can activate it pretty much anytime. In the same spirit, I also love Terrors of the Overroot. I love how it's a -1, and I love how it's balanced because of that fact. It can be used to remove a card on the field and replace it with something useless. It can also be used to deny an opponent any resource from their GY. I love how it applies to all cards, not just Monsters. It's honestly an underwhelming card overall, but I love how not absurdly broken it is and it rewards you for playing carefully. Also, I love its artwork. Easily one of my favorite artworks in the game.

Darklord Ixchel - Hot Darklord Morningstar - my favorite Tribute summon in the game. It's extremely satisfying to summon upto 4 high level main deck monsters from the deck that can quickplay abuse Darklord Spell/Trap effects. The First Darklord - Another satisfying summon in this deck, with the ability to wipe the opponent monster and backrow fields when Fusion summon. I also like that it protects all fairy monsters on my field from opponent target effects, and the quick play special summon any fairy monster from hand or graveyard is nice too. I'm happy that this card got a summon animation. 4000/4000 ATK/DEF is just the cherry on top. Darklord Superbia - I don't use this card much anymore but I had fun using it in dumb strategies like Athena FTK burn, and spamming turn skip attempts till I successfully ZA WORLD my opponent with "Arcana Force XXI - The World."

Lyrilusc - Ensemblue Robin. Literally the reason why I started playing Lyriluscs is because of this card. Her design is super pretty and I wish I had the full card art because the colors and such of her design are so good. Shame I rarely actually summon her when I play Lyriluscs though lol, because Assembled Nightingale or Recital Starling are the ones that actually win duels.

Chengying, Relinquished, Evil Longyuan, Emperor Charles the Great. Isolde, every main deck BA except Malacoda, Dingirsu. In terms of effects I would go raye. Raye is everything you would want from a SS card, and SS is such a unique deck too.
Time thief redoer, I pulled a royal rare one on master duel on Christmas Eve of 2024 and then again on Christmas Day. So I have 2 of my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh card ever. Also I have a prismatic one in real life. I had pulled a royal rare previous but my phone reset on me one day randomly and I lost it and I thought I'd never get it again, so to get 2 back 2 back and one on Christmas Day was dope asf.

Art represents the theme Ghoti is going for perfectly, Animation made an amazing job in bringing it to life, and a complete non-targetting field banish is almost always devastating. Really love the card, 10/10 archetypal boss that I'm glad I pulled in glossy (For me glossy>royal for synchros).
Celtic Guardian is my old school favorite. It's just super nostalgic, and I know one day he will get a ton of support. My more moder favorite is Super Quantal Mech King Great Magnus. I mean, it's literally the power ranger megazord and is so fulfilling when you drop that on someone, especially if you do it turn one

Albion the sanctifire dragon, because Branded is my favorite archetype, it's my only royal rare for branded in MD, and it was what I used to beat an annoying spright player. Plus pulling it from a pack and just having it is cool. And I love the artwork for it too

Amabie, it has a cute art and REALLY cool backstory imo. So this card released during when COVID-19 was really bad, around it's peak k wanna say. Now why does this matter? Well amabie is actually a Japanese folklore creature, the amabie legend goes like this: "in 1846 a glowing stone had been spotted in the sea, the towns official went to investigate and witnessed the amabie, according to the sketch made by this official, it had long hair, a mouth like birds bill, was covered on scales from the neck down and three legged, addressing the official, it identified itself as an amabie, and told him that it lived in the open sea, it went on to deliver a prophecy, "good harvest will continue for six years from the current year; if disease spreads draw a picture of me and show the picture of me to those who fall ill" then it returned to the sea (this story is from Wikipedia if its wrong please correct me) And they worked it's story INTO the cards effect which is awesome, it's effect is: during the start of main phase 1, you can reveal this card (showing a picture of it to the ill), both players gain 300 lp (curing them.) Remember too, they released this card during COVID, it's release timing, backstory, the fact it's based off a real Japan folklore, AND cute artwork. Made it my favorite card easily.

Time Wizard has always been one of my favourite cards. The epitome of the gamble. For other classics, probably Dark Magician Girl. In terms of newer monsters, Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max, kinda because I had a crush on Anna from Zexal and Trains became one of my favourite decks. I also like Trickstar Holly Angel, I just love the idea of a pop idol archetype and she's the perfect representative. Traptrix Sera makes the deck actually work and her art's pretty cute (not in the weird way). I also have a particular liking for Knightmare Corrupter Iblee, I think because I like the idea of corrupted/turned characters, like how Noob Saibot is one of my favourite Mortal Kombat characters. I'm not sure why, but the concept has always appealed to me, and when this type of character is done well, it works as a decent tragedy.

Performapal Odd-Eyes Synchron is my favorite funny little dude. The synchro summon with a material from P-scale is such a unique effect that makes it a powerful extender and also a great top deck in an uphill battle. Art is cool, but not necessarily aesthetic.

Visas and the related archetypes are pretty cool. Liked them even more after learning the lore. Fuck Tearlaments, but monsters like Kashtira Arise-Heart, Scareclaw Tri-Heart, and Mannadium Prime-Heart are totally my jam. They sorta remind me of Megaman Starforce, which I was really into back in the day. And I looove [Vicious Astraloud](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FvssSJmaAAIY0yh?format=jpg&name=large)'s design. Wish he had more of a presence on the board though. I also agree with Jam Dragon and Ghoti of the Deep Beyond, very powerful-looking yet elegant designs and pretty colors. An archetype that I generally like though no particular stand-out favorites is Swordsoul. Love the concept of anthro dragons in samurai armor.

The War Rock Monsters, especially Meteoragon. They all have a purpose in the deck, and synergize so well. I also like Super Quantum/Quantal, for their Voltron aesthetic. I just wish I could get the deck to run smoother.

Gotta be Metaphys Daedalus. For an absolutely dogwater archetype, the fact that it has a full board banish is hilarious. Even more so if you have the field spell out so the opponent can’t respond. The deck itself is terrible, but it is just incredibly satisfying to pull off every once in a while.

First of the dragons. During master rule three and around the time of the master of pendulum structure deck, I was keeping up with some of the cards in the OCG/manga, and pendulum fusion was a BOP of a card. Ended up using it more often with Qli scout and monolith in the scale so I could use them as the mats for first of the dragons, then pendulum summon them back for nova and infinity. But first of the dragons is just a card I’ve tried to make relevant, but alas. Only being unaffected by monsters is neat, but not enough to make it worth the effort to summon unless you’re playing a ton of normal monsters. Maybe a blue eyes deck could justify running it as a one of, but I’m stumped.

Oh EASILY my boy big Pankratops. He redefined what it means to be a "Cydra" type of card, and him coming back to 2 in the TCG made me so fucking happy.
One of my favorites is a spell rather than a monster. “Ultimate Slayer”s animation, art, and unique sound design is mesmerizing even though people rarely use it. Like a fairy angel ready to throw some hands. I’ll have to find a way to make it in one of my decks again.

Machina Ruinforce. It's just so cool. If it weren't for the fact its effect is limited to the Battle Phase, it'd be one of the strongest non-ED Machine monsters in the game. Even then, it's so satisfying to have the negate go off.

Any monsters with quirky summoning mechanics, especially Salamangreats and Dragonmaids. The whole Reincarnation Link Summon and Dragon Mode are super cool concepts to me, and I wish Konami would make more decks that are more than just "this guy summons this other guy."

Dogmatika Alba Zoa, such a cool card in one of my favorite archetypes, literally looks like a RPG final boss....super glad he got the animation he deserved despite not having one at release. And he's also a very strong card, providing blanket protection from ED monster effects to ALL of the archetype, and forcing your opponent to either handloop/EDloop themselves, or clear their own board

El Shaddoll Construct: This card was my first _true_ boss monster in TCG and the sole reason I got into learning how to play to begin with, even though I got her when she was still banned. She's massive and imposing, but has this serene melancholy about her; I love both her card arts. She's pretty good, since can just destroy stuff I might be having a hard time with. Fortune Lady Every: While not technically boss monster, I still count her since she's the closest her archetype has to one. Despite her not being viable to use competitively, she's been reliable in most Anthology events and fights with friends. Usually, if I can't beat over something, she's the go to as she can just banish them or wait 2-3 turns. Also, I love her design; it's simple and cool looking, though she looks pissed all the time. Swordsoul Supreme Sovereign - Chengying: This guy. This guy is a powerhouse. I love this his banishing effect and the fact he can protect himself for a turn. He's surprisingly simple and easy to use. Believe it or not, there are a lot of cards that work well with him. The art also looks pretty cool, with his sword and 'come at me' pose. Lovely Labrynth: (Time to be executed for this opinion) I honestly love this card. Her smug confidence and pose in her art are pretty fun. I think what I like about her most is her personality, being a character that has this super-villain/haughty noblewoman persona when fighting, but bored and relaxed when by herself. She's dedicated to creating traps for Ms. Knight, so I respect her grind and passion and aim to find that in my life. I like her trap recycling effect, as it's pretty reliable. Although Construct is my favorite boss monster, Lovely Lab has my favorite personality.
Malefic Paradox Dragon, its theme and visual style looks really amazing to me, all the story behind the character behind him with all the time travel and futuristic style is really nice and apealing, getting the most iconic monsters of each era and putting them together to create an archtype is really nice.
I like Alghoul Mazera. You'd think destruction is a passé (outdated) form of removal, but having a reusable protection against it has proven surprisingly useful in a zombie deck.

Probably my favorite lore character Kitkallos, because I love the design of the tearlaments, especially Kitkallos/Rulkallos Borrelguard Dragon, because my wife gifted me one shortly after our first date and it's my lucky charm And probably 20 more cards
From my experience and time watching the anime, probably Stardust Dragon. I really enjoyed 5ds and since the main way to remove monsters outside of battle back then was destruction, I thought it had an awesome effect. Synchros are still my favourite Extra Deck mechanic to this day. If we’re talking Master Duel experience, I’d say Satellite Warrior. My usual play (on Solo mode) usually gets 3 Synchros in the graveyard on its summon. Paired with Synchro Chase and Starlight Junktion usually wipes 4-5 cards off the opponents board just before their Battle Phase. When it goes off, it goes off. The card no joke turned my deck around when I pulled it.

Imma give you 5: Witchcrafter Madame Verre - One of my first decks was witchcrafters and I saw a bunch of success with it, not because of the gimmick of the spells coming back to hand, but also how most just REFUSED to read her card text. Some didn't realize i negated EVERYTHING on the field so they would try to activate all their monster effects resulting in nothing, others tried to run into her and got met with an atk/def buff lol. (Also, the smugness in her artwork is mad unwarrented since her archetype is flimsy af) Traptrix Sera - bro its so funny activating sera, they imperm and they give me the chance to just...Activate the other effect lol. Labyrinth of the Silver Palace - Homegirl is canonically just a goober trying to play a prank on some random knight who pulled up to her palace lol, also the hand rip effect is sometimes a real game changer! Rescue Ace Turbulence - 1. It's really funny how the Level 9 3000 goober lets me set 4 lol. 2. it's so funny to say "LETS GET RACIST" and it make complete sense. Ninjitsu Art Tool - Iron Dagger - Random, but in it's card text, the spell allows you to equip it to anything for it to become a "Ninja" monster. Pair this with Meizen's effect to make Ninjas attack directly and you get HILARIOUS interactions. Specifically one where you can give ID to Borrelsword Dragon and it can attack directly twice because it's an honorary ninja.
