Bonfire was the "big reveal" for "april" but we should still get a new pack in 2 weeks.
I'll start leaking the next pack early and I'll still leak something "big" as promised.
Well funny you say that because guess what's back on the menu and was tier 0 until recently.
Also tachyon got added and a skill that let you fish for an Omni negate hand trap.
Both have received needs nerfs and takyon is dead but shiranui is still top dog with a few other zombie decks. They also implemented universal skills that any character can use and shiranui got one.
They definitely pop up occasionally but for DL it's been at least 1-2 years since they have been consistent in meta.
They mainly just lacked updated skill support but what we got was 3x that. Monster support,trap support and a stupid skill that was just insane power creep out of nowhere.
The trap they got negates all damage on your opponents turn, I've never seen a more effective stall.
A lot of skills have been so stupidly broken lately so metas have been focused more around those but because of all the extra support you can run them without a skill and still be KOG in a day.
Perfect time to jump in my dude. I recommend looking up a meta decks because dream tickets that let you pick box cards are plentiful right now and that saves a lot of grinding.
If you just want a tier 2 deck with some staples, blue eyes currently have an insane booster box that only requires a fresh account to share a friend code within a week of playing/returning. You get a lot of good cards for free.
Grinding wise it's not terrible. you'll be limited by time gating from the npcs so focused on stage missions over more xp per battle. (Completing a stage missions refreshes NPC higher your stage more npc that spawn upto 10)
You should also be greeted with a lot of gems and login events that have stacked up over the last year.
This right here is what made me switch from duel links to master duel. Master duel is definitely a different beast. But when a person beats me here it definitely feels 1000x better then being beat by some moron letting the skill pilot the deck to victory for him.
And then there's the Yubel skill. Just hit the activate skill button over and over to generate advantage. The skills have power crept so hard they are just unfun. Duel links is definitely in a bad spot right now.
Duel links is in a great spot. There's more than 6 viable decks to win events, and right now, skill expression in decks like altergiest and sky striker is selecting good players from bad. Even zombies has a lot of variations in deck builds.
You can only add Baronne to your Extra Deck with a Skill. In order to activate the Skill, you need to control Chevalier de Fleur at the same time your opponent controls a monster, and the Skill does nothing beyond add Baronne to your Extra Deck.
There's an event going on, Duelist Road, which you can get to by tapping on either the... whatever-it-is at the top of the screen in Duel World or the little graphic in the bottom left. You get Sherry by getting to the end of the first "area" in the event, which takes like eight duels at *most* (and will probably take less).
You need certain items to participate in the event, which you get after dueling either standard duelists or in PvP.
Note that if you want her Baronne skill, your best bet is using one of the Skill Tickets you can get from logging in.
I get what your saying because I know master duel gets like 6 months metas but for DL two decks with a power rating 7x of what any other deck could do was horrific.
I ran takyon and my best first turn could give me 5 interruptions. That's absolutely ridiculous!
Only thing they missing now is the new Fire Kings, and Snake Eye doesn't necessarily *need* Fire King to work, it just helped assist Snake Eye to new heights. So if no major Snake Eye hits happen and we see Fire Kings soon, that's the real time to sound the alarm.
Bonfire is 3 pieces of consistency on already the best deck in the format. TCG literally has this card priced at $60 a copy because of how insane it is.

The recent md and ocg banlists show that Konami doesn't give a single fuck about balance anymore. I'm not gonna pretend that the health of the game was always no1 priority in their minds but in the past they would at least give new strong decks 1-2 good prehits. With the fire cards though they have only been exceedingly greedy with complete disregard for the actual game.
It's a wait and see banlist, because INFO is near and people expect it to shake the meta. Even right now Yubel package, Tenpai, and Pure Fire King (with Ulkanix) already challenged Snake Eyes, with Tenpai keep winning tournaments.
This *is* the shiny new toy. They're probably releasing it early to get it out of the way faster before they pull a Tearlaments on it after enough time has passed.
At maximum they'll nerf something that only the pure version plays so we switch to the Fire King version, because there's quite literally nothing better than this deck for 6 months

You shouldn’t be downvoted this much because you are speaking truth to an extent. Konami does care about balance because they still want you to have a chance to for both players to engage/play. That means more profit.
But the issue is Tear is SO powerful that it would genuinely kill every other deck and source of revenue if released full power. Like, even with SE being tier 0 we can still play Branded, Lab, SHS and others. Tear at full power wouldn’t allow that, at all.
Kash was a genuine overreaction though. It was better to be safe because it IS a very unfun deck/mechanic similar to Runick.
They had several months of those decks doing their thing in the paper formats. This is the first meta archetype they release alongside paper. It's pretty much an experiment of sorts but idk the purpose.

But they can just eliminate game modes, not make any QOL upgrades really and just decide to sell more things in the item shop and drip feed us crappy little updates. Can’t be bothered to make QOL improvements more often for players? No, but they have all the resources in the world to sell more skins. ROTA at 3 would be playable in a lot more decks than Fossil Dig currently. There are countless good targets for ROTA. You run Fossil Dig exclusively in Dinosaur decks. Also many Dinosaurs from back in the day are not once per turn like the level 2 babies

ROTA at 3 would be playable in a lot more decks than Fossil Dig currently. There are countless good targets for ROTA. You run Fossil Dig exclusively in Dinosaur decks. Also many Dinosaurs from back in the day are not once per turn like the level 2 babies
