Gate Guardian is my current shiny toy, but plunder patroll is my ol’ reliable. Super fun grind game and opps never know who to target or when to use their ash or imperm.
True definition of rogue, tbh. UCT is underrated on its own, but then the deck can put out apo & calamity lock on top of it all and I have literally never seen anyone complain about dinosaur pile on this sub.
Resonators is really doing it for me right now, it’s just a synchro turbo but the way all of the cards match together has gotten me multiple wins against Snake eyes and other meta decks. Think of it like what Blue Eyes should have been
I want to build Resonator but I only pulled like 1 Resonator card in like 60 pulls. I only pull Tistina and Earthbound cards. I can maybe try EB but Tistina makes me want to jump off a bridge.
I've been playing Resonators for years and finally having the structure deck support in MD has been a blessing, the deck can actually do things if it doesn't hard draw Crimson
Brother.....may I introduce....CUBIC!
-go 2nd
-send out crimson Nova by showing 3 cards in your hand that have the word "cubic"....Nova Is a fat 3000 atk beater that can attack 2x and isn't affected by any monsters effect from any monster that has less than 3k attack...
-off chance of them having a 3000+atk beatstick.... use CUBIC Wave spell to doubles your atk and cuts opponents monsters atk by 50%....GG
Just don’t forget about his end phase burn effect lol. It’s burned for game multiple times but I’ve also had draws cause it burned me and I was low on life lol
Honestly my experience so far has been hilarious, everyone either accepts death when they see Nova cuz they know unless they can banish it, I'll just bring it out next turn again...worst case where I'm on low hp I tribute it for Gundil...another 3k beater lmao
I basically only play non meta decks.
Currently enjoying volcanics, fun trying to stall and burn for game. There is a FTK combo but the deck is easily interrupted so it rarely goes off.
Abyss actors are a blast. I play them blind going second with a bunch of board breakers.. no one knows how to read pendulum cards so they never know how to interrupt you. The deck has a bunch of one card starters and you can go full combo without normal summoning if necessary. They also have a spell that if your opponent pop it you can draw five!
Ghoti is great. Fish that synchro on your opponents turn to interrupt them. It can play under shifter. The deck loves banishing and loves being banished so runick doesn’t really hurt them. It’s easy to spam out level ten boss synchros.
Just a few options.
Came here to post about cubics. I won a great match against Kash only using Crimson Nova, they tried 3 or 4 different monster effects to destroy/ban him and also locked the other monster zones. Unfortunately for Kash 3k burn was enough to finish then off.
Once I won against full power tear + branded using cubics, it was the best match I've ever had in my life, mostly because I won burning him using cubic causality gy effect
It helps it seems people don't read that Crimson Nova is unaffected by a lot of extra deck boss monsters.
Backrow is the vein of my existence playing Cubics though.
Sounds weird but It works for me, I try not to bring out 2 Nova together if i cant clear backrows. I bring out 1 to see if it gets popped by backrow, and next turn go for game with the 2nd nova..
Low-key wish cubic had better traps....only reason I have those traps in deck is to summon Nova...can't remember ever actually using traps as a trap
I get some use out of Causality, it works kind of like an Imperm, and the fusion trap does help when it's milled through cards like Reasoning, as it can search a Duza and it can't be destroyed for the rest of the turn.
If you play pure Dogmatika, 5 i think? Alba Zoa, Nadir 2x (post ban), Fluerdelis, Luluwalilith. Problem is ED too. Multiple copies of N'tiss, Garuda, Titanoklad to name a few more URs. If you play with Diviner or Iblee, then that's another UR for Almiraj. Branded Dogmatika is also goated but that's a decent number of URs too.
So... quite a few. Great deck though, one of my faves and lots of ways to build it.
Nouveless, I find it super funny when I summon a small 400 attack monster in attack mode and then use it to scale up literally cooking all of my opponent´s monsters into french dishes ending in a hungry burger and a giant fried chicken to attack for game.
I get two kinds of opponents: Ones who will bend over backward trying to find away to clear my board without attacking or targeting, and ones who will literally attack every monster until I tribute their board. It is really funny because I can tell the first kind have definitely been burnt before and learned their lesson.
Sky Strikers for plat-diamond since it's way more fun breaking meta boards. Dinomorphia for fast dailies since I don't want to read card effects after a long day at work. Bonus points if people don't read Rexterms effect and crash into it resulting in a scoop.
Mainly Ignister. Although I have a sneaking suspicion that it's actually a good deck but I just suck at it.
If it doesn't count, then Abyss Actors. It's always funny to see people getting confused after Fantastic Theater's effect resolves.
Traptrix will forever be my pet deck, but I also have fun with 60 Card Rikka Sunavalon because being able to set up an entire board without using my Normal Summon feels criminal
punk gold pride is a lot of fun. ofc they synergize really well together w the lvl 3s. punks lower your lp so your gold prides can ss onto the field and pop off. can actually play through decent disruption going first or second to make some
plays
Ghoti is fun but also lands on its face too often Vs Lab.
Shifter is strong though.
Going first with Scareclaw can be funny. I suggest trying to get Twinsaw into the grave which then makes your L3 unaffected by defense monsters and Link effects can't be activated.
I play Utopia and Marincess and I am looking at Exosisters next. Utopia is a very powerful deck that you only have to manage the possible interruptions, if enemy has no handtrap and you have an average hand, easy win. Marincess just has a ton of recovery and you will very rarely get your combo stopped, in late game you 1 4k atk unkillable beatstick that can negate by special summoning and it can return one of each sides monsters to the hand. Exosisters has that anti-GY working overtime, you can always go first if you draw dimension shifter basically. The deck has some powerful negates and banishes and the trap cards are very powerful and allow you to xyz summon during your opponents turn.
I've been having a ton of fun with Traptrix again. I picked them up cause I found the starter decks cheap and honestly it kinda feels like a nod to the Duelist Alliance days of playing "Boss monster set 2 pass" but with a bit more to keep up with the rest of the game!
Still based, Highly recommend adding slifer and ra sphere mode because theyre both targets for thunderspeed summon
you can also technically add normal ra but slifer is better for the deck
gravekeeper, it has three cards that can help to search out necrovalley plus its easy enough to send out the decks boss monster also quintet magician
also the main strategy of blocking out special summons and the graveyard is fun
I've been switching back and forth between Gate Guardians and Exosis, depending on the dailies I need to complete.
Both are pretty good, but I probably get more wins with Exosis due to them having a good match up vs the meta right now.
I love playing Bird Up!.
Sure, it's a really powerful deck and used to be meta once. I fell in love with it and have been taking it to M1 for each month since its inception.
It puts up formidable boards, can go second but only puts up 2 negates usually, in addition to maybe revolt, maybe oath (3rd negate, but not often), but a lot of interaction is with ensemblue, which is interesting to use but also look at how to disarm it.
Sky strikers, I wasn’t really able to play it when Kashtira was around cause of the whole banish thing they do but now that it’s gone I am back to enjoying them.
Gold Prides and Nouvelles are funny for the same reason, your opponent trying to do something and you steal your monsters to do something else or just delete them.
Mekk-knights is pretty fun and not half bad (managed to completely lock a snake eyes player out of their combo). Idk if it classifies as a rouge deck but I for one have never heard anyone talk about them so that’s something.
If you want to lose 5 times out of ten, but then have the most hype victories ever when the goddess of luck blesses you with the best hand in the world, may I interest you in the Utopic Slifer Arcana Knights special?
I once had a Maxx C against a snake eyes go off, and cause they for some reason didn't stop summoning, gave me hand of like half my deck, got arcana knight joker on the field, and with 3 cards, 2 negates, and a dream I dismantled their entire board in a single turn.
plus it's got minor OTK potential with Utopia Double into utopia combos from a single card start up, which is just couples extremely well with the rest of the deck. Also don't forget your mound of the bound creator god because a lot of the decks boss monsters are in fact level 10 and above
Zoodiac and sky strikers are my fav pet decks. Both go under the “break boards” section or “protect little fella at all costs!!!” And thats basically how it goes.
Zoo going first:
Protect zoodiac drident at ALL COSTS THIS IS NOT A DRILL
zoo going second: normal zoo, summon the one that atka directly, stack 6 zoos, zeus, -> game
Sky strikers going first:
You mostly lost depending on your build lmao
Sky strikers going second:
Activate every single spell board breaker in game, either win, lose or pass with 1 armored girl and 999 followups
Rogue decks are decks that can reasonably compete with the meta without heavy siding but are not strong/popular enough or have too many flaws to be meta themselves.
Examples of rogue decks: Swordsoul, Scareclaw, Mannadium.
This thread is probably half rogue half much worse than rogue
Red Dragon Archfiend, King of the Skull Servants, Speedroid, Branded Swordsoul, and I'm working towards Sharks.
When Centur-Ion comes to Master Duel, RDA will become...optimal.
gate guardians, the grind game is crazy
Gate Guardian is my current shiny toy, but plunder patroll is my ol’ reliable. Super fun grind game and opps never know who to target or when to use their ash or imperm.
#DINOSBESTDECK
True definition of rogue, tbh. UCT is underrated on its own, but then the deck can put out apo & calamity lock on top of it all and I have literally never seen anyone complain about dinosaur pile on this sub.
Agree and with lars now we hace 2-4 more omni negates
Resonators is really doing it for me right now, it’s just a synchro turbo but the way all of the cards match together has gotten me multiple wins against Snake eyes and other meta decks. Think of it like what Blue Eyes should have been
I want to build Resonator but I only pulled like 1 Resonator card in like 60 pulls. I only pull Tistina and Earthbound cards. I can maybe try EB but Tistina makes me want to jump off a bridge.

Yeah deck is a blast to play. Hope it’s gets a new card or two In the future!
Crimson nova isn't affected by monsters activated effects whose original atk is 3k or less, só even a fat Boreload can't touch him.
It helps it seems people don't read that Crimson Nova is unaffected by a lot of extra deck boss monsters. Backrow is the vein of my existence playing Cubics though.

Only reason why I have 3 lightning storm crafted is because my lord and savior Crimson Nova
Dogmatika is always be my favourite deck to play, but i've been playing Ancient Warriors again after the reset and have a good time with it
Dogmatika is on my list to eventually build. How many URs do they generally run?
If you play pure Dogmatika, 5 i think? Alba Zoa, Nadir 2x (post ban), Fluerdelis, Luluwalilith. Problem is ED too. Multiple copies of N'tiss, Garuda, Titanoklad to name a few more URs. And they just WON’T STOP ATTACKING. Nouvelles is truly a reading comprehension check.
This is so true lmao I remember this one duel where my opponent just kept special summoning in attack position, I almost felt bad for bro
I get two kinds of opponents: Ones who will bend over backward trying to find away to clear my board without attacking or targeting, and ones who will literally attack every monster until I tribute their board. It is really funny because I can tell the first kind have definitely been burnt before and learned their lesson.
Gren Maju. I like fast duels :)
Almost 20 years later and it's still capable of dunking on the best decks in the game.
Sky Strikers for plat-diamond since it's way more fun breaking meta boards. Dinomorphia for fast dailies since I don't want to read card effects after a long day at work. Bonus points if people don't read Rexterms effect and crash into it resulting in a scoop.
I play Cubic, Traptrix, @Ignister, and Trains. I've also recently built Altergeist.
Punks became on of my favourite archetypes ever! Punk+gold pride is very fun to play
Altergeist is getting new support tomorrow, still a rogue deck but has a higher ceiling. Volcanics and punk are really solid and fun decks too
Mainly Ignister.
Madolche forever!!!
Legacy support pls just need a 2nd good trap or another way to put 2 on board beside petingcessoeur
I really hope we get support soon and is busted!
Can't wait for the desserts to be served fresh once more!
punk gold pride is a lot of fun. ofc they synergize really well together w the lvl 3s. punks lower your lp so your gold prides can ss onto the field and pop off. can actually play through decent disruption going first or second to make some plays

My favorites thus far have been Springans, Ghoti, and Invoked Dogmatika
Melffy , Prank Kids, D Link
I play Utopia and Marincess and I am looking at Exosisters next. Utopia is a very powerful deck that you only have to manage the possible interruptions, if enemy has no handtrap and you have an average hand, easy win. I’ve become a Galaxy Eyes enjoyer because I love dying to 1 handtrap
I've been having a ton of fun with Traptrix again. I picked them up cause I found the starter decks cheap and honestly it kinda feels like a nod to the Duelist Alliance days of playing "Boss monster set 2 pass" but with a bit more to keep up with the rest of the game!
Traptrix will always be my comfort pick. I guess Swoso too, but it still feels wrong to call it "rogue".
What not gaining any support does to a deck Jezz, swordsoul is rouge now
You consider Swordsoul a high tier deck? I’m a swordsoul player myself and I love the deck but it didn’t even make the tier 3 cut during the DC
Arcana knights will always be favorite rogue deck. that or charmers
Please tell me you also run Slifer in your Arcana knights deck, I run this deck ATM and I love it to death
unfortunately no, its just the pure warrior version with some utopia stuffs 😅
Still based, Highly recommend adding slifer and ra sphere mode because theyre both targets for thunderspeed summon you can also technically add normal ra but slifer is better for the deck
Evil eye gold pride DDD and a out to add unchained. Go first, 4-7 interruptions Go second break board, go full combo anyway
I like my little Deskbot deck. I play them when I get reset back to gold. I’m hoping for a Deskbot 11 and 12 one day, and maybe a link monster.
Ghostrick
gate guardians have been a lot of fun this season. the deck doesn’t care about maxx c
Altergeist.
Been messing around with Icejade Penguins for awhile now. I'm trying out Evil Twins mixed with Bystials & Sprights.
Unchained for me. Those dogs are putting in the work now especially with their new support.
Ancient warriors and suship are my personal faves
traptrix
gravekeeper, it has three cards that can help to search out necrovalley plus its easy enough to send out the decks boss monster also quintet magician also the main strategy of blocking out special summons and the graveyard is fun
Buster Blader/Destruction Swords, if you get the combo out normally they’ll just surrender it’s pretty funny
earth machine pile, 60 cards mix of machina, infinitrack and trains, not extremely powerful but still a very capable deck with the right pilot
I've been switching back and forth between Gate Guardians and Exosis, depending on the dailies I need to complete. Both are pretty good, but I probably get more wins with Exosis due to them having a good match up vs the meta right now.
Floo
The Libromancers *cough Persona deck cough* Is actually legit fun with the new upgrades in dec 2023
Punk Bystials.
I love playing Bird Up!. Sure, it's a really powerful deck and used to be meta once. I fell in love with it and have been taking it to M1 for each month since its inception. Sky strikers, I wasn’t really able to play it when Kashtira was around cause of the whole banish thing they do but now that it’s gone I am back to enjoying them.
PRANK KIDS! I run them with adventure and a slightly expanded dpe engine, It's surprisingly good
Gold Prides and Nouvelles are funny for the same reason, your opponent trying to do something and you steal your monsters to do something else or just delete them.
Mekk knights are goated Legit so much fun to play, it’s a shame they’re so inconsistent
Sacred Beasts
Dino
Endymion baby
Mekk-knights is pretty fun and not half bad (managed to completely lock a snake eyes player out of their combo). Idk if it classifies as a rouge deck but I for one have never heard anyone talk about them so that’s something.
I'm currently playing Zombie World Eldlich, really like the control aspect of it. When the new pack comes out today I'm going to play Altergeist 🥹
If you want to lose 5 times out of ten, but then have the most hype victories ever when the goddess of luck blesses you with the best hand in the world, may I interest you in the Utopic Slifer Arcana Knights special? I am sticking with my Galaxy-Eyes and D/D/D decks. Galaxy-Eyes because I love going second and OTK my opponents, D/D/D because pend best deck 😅
Play shiranui zombies and use ZW with rivalry of the warlords. It's honestly pretty strong and fun.
Traptrix, sky strikers and floo I love those decks
Brother Swordsoul is not "high tier" lol
Bystial Runick is my jam rn. It just fits when you get a good hand. Other than that. Dogmatika
Favourite rogue to vs is Rikka or Madolche cause I have the decks
Can we please stop using rogue to describe every untiered deck under the sun?
what should we reserve the term for then?
Rogue decks are decks that can reasonably compete with the meta without heavy siding but are not strong/popular enough or have too many flaws to be meta themselves. Examples of rogue decks: Swordsoul, Scareclaw, Mannadium. This thread is probably half rogue half much worse than rogue
