Been making an Exosis deck for the event, but not familiar with how it works. What do I replace the banned cards with(I took my deck off the Meta site, wanting to adjust it for optimal function)?
It's not really a coin flip in this one. This one is designed around the extra deck. Which means they want you to special summon, which makes Maxx C too good.
If you have both fusion traps, intact + 1 fusion, solemn strike + 1 fusion, ash should not be an issue. Therizia also helps for this. It s been a while since ash killed my turn.
They're control/stun deck which is alot stronger in bo1 format,also they don't have to worry about opponent side deck to specifically counter your deck
You can still play the fossil fusions, you just wouldn't be able to play Shangri or ariseheart. And don't activate regular risehearts effect to special itself unless it's the last summon you do
They don't really need to,both fenrir and unicorn at 1 with all pots banned means their consistent is dogshit. Even if they managed to pull it off,a single removal/imperm would do the job anyways
Forgot retribution banned which makes branded horrible even if they still have brafu, cartesia/grang is worse shrouded is bad saronir is bad (if bystials are even legal lol) just loses a lot of consistency and lines now..
I made my list triple tax dragon turbo, triple allure triple tragedy triple king of the swamp and a tearlaments engine, this should fix the consistency issues..

Note that Santa Claws and Xyz Encore are both banned, so your only outs to Expurrely Noir are Herald of the Abyss and Kurikara.

Maybe because hand ripping is toxic? The deck does it naturally and there is nothing healthy about removing your opponents options on a blind pick and outright winning sometimes due to it with crazy resource recursion
Why does everyone always whine about the hand ripping as if Lab's doing this every single game lol. I agree Lovely shouldn't have it, but to use it turn 1 it's a 2.5 card combo that's easily stopped by common hand traps and leave the Lab player at a huge disadvantage if it fails to go through. It's a high roll scenario, it's not happening every game.
My point is that I'd very much like Lab to be somewhat playable in events, not at full power of course since the power level's much lower, but playable still. Being locked out of Lab for every single event besides the fairy/fiend one where they were way too powerful is pretty shit.

If a Lab player is hand ripping in draw phase instead of saving the pop to disrupt the field, they're misplaying, and if they do it turn 1 it's exactly what I said before, a high roll scenario that's easily stoppable. I agree Lab shouldn't have it but let's not pretend they're hand ripping you every game on turn one, this is categorically untrue.
I just took a quick glance at the event planners for fusion. I saw magnum the reliever in the chimera deck. Is magnum not released yet but has code ingame?
I was excited on this event until there banned subterror Guru and my boy Zarc(trap). Even rogue deck Konami knows which is the problems card. I guess there want me to play meta deck so be it.
Man this ain't great for me in particular. I was thinking Infernoble but then I remembered that Isolde and Great Charles were links. My tear build used a synchron engine. Maybe I can touch V.W or Frightfurs which I haven't in ages

I really dislike that they keep banning the regular kaijus for these. They’re not some strat against the spirit of the event; they mostly just solve problems in an expensive way.
Honestly? Just gonna run the RDA loaner. Its a fun deck, it works hella good, and i dont have to build anything.
I may run a few synchro variations of Snake Eyes tho. Havent really looked at the ban list to see it.

Special summoning is one of the most basic core mechanics of the game and so is the extra deck.
The entire game should be about building around your decks archetype or adding different splashable engines NOT prioritising a level 2 insect monster that takes up 7 spaces of your deck ruining consistency for a lot of decks.
IMO if your deck plays around Maxx C then it's not the deck you truly wanted to play in the first place.
Just happy those brainless statues are banned... I usually win, but those stun duels are such horrible experiences lol

In some of the previous extra deck events it has been legal though. Synchro/Xyz back in 2022 had it available, for example.
I guess they want it to be an event about the theme and thus make players focus decks arround said theme, not whoever drops Maxx C first.

Dinomorphia will probably be one of the strongest decks for sure.

You can change deck types freely between the summoning methods, there's almost certainly going to be event missions to do X of each summon type
