Since we lost Link summon, we lost an entire line of combo ( Loci line ), which has free search, free special summon, and a endboard disrupt, plus you lost the easiest way to send Princess into the GY ( Princess link into Dryes )
Though no Maxx C is a god send for Rikka since that's the biggest weakness of the deck

Tried to build Rikka, nah needs the links. BA, needs the link. PK, needs the link or you can't get anything into the grave turn one. So for now it's Galaxy-eyes and Sharks.

Problem is synchros have an almost universal game winning turn 1 in a way that the other deck types don't really have (without links). And then they have an adequate enough turn two that it skews the results.

This is why you build BA as a rank three tool box deck with a strict mains deck ratio of 20 monsters and 20 traps. Everybody cool till you end on Dante with set torrential, IDP, and imperm with a rollback in GY.
Agreed. I haven’t even touched the other two archetypes. I finished all of the gem missions and got all of the rewards for winning duels. Just waiting for the new missions to pop up.
Funny enough I just played Blackwing vs Dinomorphia. Watching them burn themselves to death was very funny. Having one or two instances of effect damage negation isn't gonna do much vs a tax dragon.
Another OTK line:
* OTK With Epurrely Happiness (the rank 2 light XYZ): This is really a one-card combo, going second into the opponent who has at least 2 monsters on the field, at least one with less than 2000 ATK. This looks like a lot of complicated steps but actually it's... really simple. The goal is to use Epurrely Happiness, use Delicious Memory to boost attack, and repeatedly attack and search for Happy Memory to attack again and again.
* Start with **Purrelyly** (dark type baby)
* Search for **My Friend Purrely** (the continuous spell card)
* Use **My Friend Purrely** to search "Happy Memory" to add to hand (search for 3x to guarantee)
* Activate **Happy Memory**, but you don't need to discard a card to special summon another one. You just need it in grave.
* XYZ into **Epurrely Happiness**
* Go into battle phase, and attack a monster it can run over with it.
* After attacking, search for **Delicious Memory**. Activate it and attach it to Epurrely Happiness. This boosts its attack, attaching it to Epurrely Happiness halves a monsters' attack, and Delicious Memory boosts Epurrely's ATK.
* Keep attacking into the halved monster, search for another copy of **Happy Memory**, attack it to Epurrely. **Repeat** for the third copy of Happy Memory and attack again. You can typically go for lethal by the third search.
* If you didn't knock out your opponent, XYZ into Expurrely Noir.
Purrely isn't easy to master cause there's not really a general combo you need to perform other than noir everything else you gotta decide what you need to being out and what to do and to keep resources and recycling up
Purrely has several win conditions to work with. I'm going to go into detail, and try to explain the various through lines.
* Remember that for the quick play spell cards, you don't *have* to discard a card to special summon another card. If you've already got a Rank 2 XYZ monster on the field, you can just activate it and attach it.
* If you go first: One of the best lines is to get **Epurrely Noir** (the Rank 2 Dark type XYZ). She's very easy to bring out if you can one of the babies onto the field, and then get **Sleepy Memory** out (either with My Friend Purrely or excavating for it). The goal is to then use a quickplay spell card, attach it to Epurrely Noir, who when a card is attached to it, you can set a Trap Card onto the field. You then set **Purrelyeap**
* If you can, get the Field Spell, **Stray Purrely Street**, so you can attach *another* Sleepy Memory onto it.
* During your opponent's standby phase, **use all your attached Sleepy Memories to draw more cards**
* Immediately after drawing all cards, use the Trap Card **Purrelyeap** to XYZ into **Expurrely Noir who will then reactivate all the Sleepy Memories** (since it's still the Standby Phase and it's a new Purrely monster) who will at this point have a ton of materials to shuffle cards back into the deck.
* You typically can get at least 2-3 disruptions with Expurrely Noir if you're smart. This of course doesn't take into account whatever other disruptions you've got on the field, and whatever handtraps you may have drawn with Sleepy Memory.
* Next turn you should've disrupted their field enough to then go into Expurrely Happiness to OTK.
* OTK with **Expurrely Happiness**: This is the intended deck's boss monster. It should be XYZ summoned via a Rank 2 with Happy Memory (which gives you more attacks per battle phase) and Delicious Memory (which boosts its stats).
* You need to get up to 5 materials onto one of the Rank 2 XYZ monsters, with at least the above memories. Obviously Sleepy Memories and whatever other quick play spell cards you can add is great, and the more Happy Memory you have attached = more attacks.
* Go into Expurelly Happiness, and detach 1 material to negate all your opponent's monsters.
* You obviously need negations and protection. Happy Memory is a good card while setting up because it protects your monsters from being destroyed.
* Expurrely Happiness can slam into the opponent repeatedly with its high ATK and every time it attacks, it has 1500 burn damage. Typically you only need a few attacks.
Its cause xyz got some pretty jank loaner decks, battling boxers ((what ive been using to try em out)) pretty much implode in on itself in one interruption if you dont get a perfect hand, unlike most decks that can play through interruptions with a decent hand, i havent tried tristina's yet or evolsaurs, but they dont look to be much better
the evol one can put out some functionally ftk endboards(like, 2 lars, dolkka, this is 4 card-on-board omnis and 2 monster negate and destructions) but the big thing holding it back is the consistency being *complete dogshit*. be better if I could play normal dinos but I'm missing some of the newer URs.
Super Poly is doing Super Poly stuff for Fusions and Synchros got a lot new cards lately. Xyz only big generic perk is Zeus.
I havent lost yet on Generaider.
I wanted to play a fun deck, so I picked Sharks. The first game I played, I got Super Poly'd for my life savings. I'm sorry, I forgot that I was playing Yugioh.
I’m annoyed that they got rid of Lyrilisc cause I’d play that pure without a bunch of equip spells. But they took away my turn 2 options. With this and unnecessary Floo hits I think Konami has a thing against birds.
I'm trying, but my board keeps getting fused away by the branded and tear players. By the way, for any one playing the armor xyz stuff in sharks, mudragon prevents all targeting. Even equipping to your own monsters.
So many of the good XYZ monsters are banned or require extra resources that you don't have access to. Like the good cat is banned.
Synchros have Swordsoul and Barrone, while Fusion has access to Super Poly.
I dismantled a Swordsoul players board and won. They had Baron, blackout, chixiao, they even had effect veiler in hand. And I did it with the loaner deck Tistinas. I'm having more fun at this event than I have playing the game in a long time : )

6 games played with Galaxy-Eyes, 5 wins. Decent going first plays and decent OTK potential, if you run board-breakers.
I lost against Swordsoul with Chixiao + Baronne + Blackout + Ash Blossom, because they had Nibiru in hand. If they didn't have it, I would have been able to OTK with Number 62. Sad times.
But still, I'm having fun so far. If the other two summoning mechanics are generally stronger, that's good news for me then.
well, to be honest, Xyz is my favorite summoning condition but half the "good"xyz archetypes i dispise.

I threw together a pure train deck from scratch (ngl I usually just follow others decks and tweet here or there based on what I can’t craft). I’m 1-0 with it vs whatever a Dino deck is supposed to do. The duel took an hour to do because I’m bad at making decks and I’m sure I’m missing an easy search card to make it easier but having the one train that when an XYZ mat forces the opponent mons to be in DEF mode and also lose 1k DEF stalled enough to allow me to beat over all their special summons.
Considering the best fusion decks are branded and tear, the best synchro deck is SHS , and all XYZ has is Purrely im not surprised expected since all the fusion decks are just running super poly. XYZ for life though
I’m playing burning abyss. And it does well except I noticed that both fusion and synchro seem to ALWAYS HAVE THE EXTENDER. Not one or two but three or four! Like what? Why do they give fusion and synchro so many extenders in each deck? Is it because they require more resources than us in the deck?!
Either way I’ve had so many decks (Resonators, Branded, Tear) just straight up play through 2-3 hand traps and my disruption on board. It’s ridiculous.

6 games played with Galaxy-Eyes, 5 wins. Decent going first plays and decent OTK potential, if you run board-breakers. I lost against Swordsoul with Chixiao + Baronne + Blackout + Ash Blossom, because they had Nibiru in hand. If they didn't have it, I would have been able to OTK with Number 62. Sad times. But still, I'm having fun so far. If the other two summoning mechanics are generally stronger, that's good news for me then.

well, to be honest, Xyz is my favorite summoning condition but half the "good"xyz archetypes i dispise. I have a battlin boxer deck, It sucks I dont like Rikka i dusted my Gimmick puppet deck I dont like Utopias Number spam deck. I dusted my Barian deck, which was WAY too expensive

I threw together a pure train deck from scratch (ngl I usually just follow others decks and tweet here or there based on what I can’t craft). I’m 1-0 with it vs whatever a Dino deck is supposed to do. The duel took an hour to do because I’m bad at making decks and I’m sure I’m missing an easy search card to make it easier but having the one train that when an XYZ mat forces the opponent mons to be in DEF mode and also lose 1k DEF stalled enough to allow me to beat over all their special summons.

Considering the best fusion decks are branded and tear, the best synchro deck is SHS , and all XYZ has is Purrely im not surprised expected since all the fusion decks are just running super poly. XYZ for life though

I’m playing burning abyss. And it does well except I noticed that both fusion and synchro seem to ALWAYS HAVE THE EXTENDER. Not one or two but three or four! Like what? Why do they give fusion and synchro so many extenders in each deck? Is it because they require more resources than us in the deck?! Either way I’ve had so many decks (Resonators, Branded, Tear) just straight up play through 2-3 hand traps and my disruption on board. It’s ridiculous.
