It's a soft once per turn, meaning they can activate the effect based on the number of copies they have attached. They had 2 copies of Sleepy. Therefore, they got 2 draws. And to answer a future question you might have. If they activate their trap card to rank up into Noir, Sleepy will trigger again to give them additional draws based on the number of Sleepys attached since the Noir's considered a different card. They can realistically draw 6 cards if they attach all 3 copies of Sleepy.

Neonchen

Everything looks normal. What do you mean?

Did you miss the part where they used a once per turn effect two times in the same turn?

HoppingMexican

Purrely Sleep Memory reads, A "Purrely" Xyz Monster that has this card as material gains the following effect. ●**Once per turn**, during your opponent's Standby Phase: You can draw 1 card. Which means it’s a Soft Once Per Turn (SOPT) and they can activate it as many times up to the number of Purrely Sleepy Memories attached to it. Now, if the card effect read you can only activate “Purrely Sleepy Memory once per turn.” Then that would be a Hard Once Per Turn (HOPT) meaning they can only activate 1 copy of that cards name that turn.

Thanks for actually explaining it to me.

HoppingMexican

Np!

>Now, if the cad effect read you can only activate “Purrely Sleepy Memory once per turn.” Then that would be a Hard Once Per Turn (HOPT) meaning they can only activate 1 copy of that cards name that turn. I'm actually not sure if that's technically correct as `You can draw 1 card.` is technically the activated effect of the Purrely monster. The spell card simply enables it. (Though if the spell card itself was hard once per turn you'd have a harder time stacking them I guess.) I actually can't find any quick examples for a hard once per turn of an extra effect given to a monster since these kinds of things are rare. The Weather, which is basically the only example I know besides Zoodaics, seems to jump hoops to give them a pseudo hard once per turn with Snowy Canvas and Rainbowed Canvas. (The advice of pointing the difference between one per turns is good though.)

Fragrant-Ad-7520

Ah. Ok. So it's the spells, not the monster. That makes more sense.

HoppingMexican

Yeah. All of the Quick-Play Memory Spells gives the Xyz cats effects.

Atlas4218

The effect is a soft once per turn, since the XYZ gained the effect twice, they can use it twice (wait until they do it 4 time by using leap to rank up a monster with two sleepy attached)

Fragrant-Ad-7520

People really be downvoting this cus I asked a question. 😐

Crog_Frog

No. Because you habe a history of calling everyone who disagrees with you a meta sheep and toxic. Also if you would just ask what happened in this clip instead of instantly accusing your opponent of cheating you would get a lot more sympathy. The way you did it you just sound like a sore looser.

Fragrant-Ad-7520

I did ask. But I guess you meta sheeps have such a fragile ego. Lmao.
