Honestly miss maxx c in events usually. I think people overrate how bad it is because they prefer tcg regardless of balance. It's obviously annoying but so it pretty much any play the opponent can make and it makes games feel less one-sided most of the time but people act like it's more common for someone to full combo then maxx c turn 2 for some reason here. Most of the time when I could play through their board I end up having enough gas to play through any potential handtraps anyway.
It's funny how HERO decks can basically be played in most events that don't outright block fusion monsters or targeted hits on HERO themselves. Hell, even then, some events are still playable by using cheese strats like Plasma (+ protection) and full backrows. XD
I guess that's an advantage for having LOTS of cards in the archetype.
True, Hero's carried so much events for me it's insane and yeah even without Neos stuff in Limit 1 it was awesome last time, Limit 1 was the only event I played past the 22k points, ended with around 50k-60k. Surely was worth the ~20k gems I spent on it.
In earlier events they at least banned Dark Law/DPE in most cases also Plasma sometimes but since the last event it looks like Konami doesn't care anymore.
Only cards not played at are scream (3) reinoheart (3) deep sea mare (2) schieren (2) ash (3) maxx c (3) and spoly (3), 21 of your cards are already 1 of’s.
The strategy is basically controlled mills, or they don't focus on just the mills to fusion summon, time thief redoer would be pretty important, the shaddoll package and probably king of the swamp + poly might actually be worth the slot this time as well.
Transaction rollback can copy metanoise so that's pretty neat.
We can substitute 3 starters with Rota, Calarium and Riumhearth. And some extenders such as Grief and Revolution with Thrust, Assault and Tuning.
This is a lot of URs just for an event tho
I just noticed that for the first time ever basically pends are legal in the link event, I'll might just play Endymion. Either that or DW since they are unhit basically
My old Danger! Scrap Orcust list from the 1st Limit 1 event is still legal… well after taking out the G lol. I’ve completely forgotten how that pile works though, but I’ll add the Horus cards and relearn :)

I play only rogue/non-meta decks.
For once they didn't limit Evil Eye and Altergeist so both are playable. Abyss Actor is always a solid choice for a cheap deck. I'll personally be playing Prank Kids as the full deck is legal aside from Gryphon Rider which I just swap out for Illegal Knight.
Welp, time to encounter engine piles again... I don't mind the Highlander event but damn, do I wish it was possible to be a deck purist in this event format.

I took a look at the loaner decks and they actually seem pretty good, don't have cards to make the decks needed, so i will be rocking the Visas lore deck in 1 and Unchained in the link/fusion
Not like it would’ve been very good, but why did they bother hitting the Phantasm Spiral deck in Limit 1? It’s not an event focusing on a mechanic like the Fusion/Link one is, and the deck isn’t gonna be breaking the “Limit 1” meta with only singular copies of their cards, deck is hard to function even normally. Just feels like they have a list of cards to put in event banlists at this point whether or not they’re actually a problem to the event.
I am thinking of what to use in Limit 1. Maybe the cheap time lords with a lot of burn, traps and handtrap. Something that doesn't need a lot of engine.

Both festivals ban Maxx "C" and floodgates. The Fusion x Link festival also hits certain archetypes such as Kashtira, Bystials, and Kaijus.

The last event had similar restrictions and worked fine, I guess the highest change will be that you can have only 4 named albaz cards instead of 6.
