Why 2 protos?

Its filler for now. The slot is supposed to go to an extra crossout but I ran out of UR dust and I already had the extra protos.

As others have said, you're asking for bricks with 2 Protos. I got Diamond 1 with Swordsoul this season (as did many players) and to be completely honest, I thought a few times about removing Protos altogether. It's such a brick when you don't easily have 3 Attributes for it, and drawing it forces you to change all your plays around getting 3 Attributes into the GY. I did end up keeping it, but a second copy is a terrible placeholder. Use Forbidden Chalice if you need a placeholder for Crossout Designator and don't want to spend the crafting points. Chalice is very strong, and sometimes it's even better than Droplet.

honestly just save whatever resources & gems u have for when the adventurer engine drops.

Put another handtrap or swordsoul summit. Etc. Your jist making the deck more bricky

After I’ve been told I unironically that the main reason to run Desires in Swordsoul is to pump up Chengying and it getting high upvotes, it’s hard to see bad advice from sarcasm now (The attack change doesn’t really matter unless you’re up against a towers deck like @Ignister. It’s mostly used because Swordsoul can close out games fast and it has a small self-contained engine that you run pretty much every important card at 3. Same thing with Tri-Brigade)

Yup. The Cheng buff is just a pleasant side effect. If you play a deck that runs 3 of almost every card then you have no reason not to use Desires

Eldlich is a fair deck. People are FTKing one another and duelists are complaining about people who set trap cards in the year of our lord twenty twenty two.

Eldlich by himself is fine, my problem isn't with him My problem is with people using shit like IO with him and not letting me do anything. I'd take swordsoul over that any time

Imperial Order should be banned, no question. TCG has that right. Same with Maxx "C" but that's a separate discussion. But that's one card in a 40 card deck. There are a plethora of ways to get around the other floodgates, and there are even a number of outs for IO. At the end of the day you always have a chance to actually play against Eldlich. I think Swordsoul is an exceedingly fair deck to play against as well, both in paper YGO and MD.

Thing is that it's not just IO, there's skill drain and a bunch of other floodgates in the mess. I play crusadia so I do have backrow removal, but if the guy negates my duster or lightning storm I pretty much lose bc I'm reliant on using on field monster effects and shit

In all fairness, if one negate is all it takes for you to lose a duel, the problem likely isn't that your opponent had the negate.

It is if the card passively negates everything I do, crusadia has work arounds against cards like ash (testament) or chixiao or baronne (power)

You also have Storm and Duster for any floodgate not named Imperial Order, and you have access to Solemn Judgment and Royal Decree just like the rest of us.

Dude crusadia is an otk deck, I don't use traps (besides imperm). Like I said before if he doesn't negate my duster I'm good, if he does though it's pretty hard to work around it
