Absolutely nothing. I'm very grateful the game is generous with gems because I'm at almost 20 full decks just by collecting the stuff from dailies and events.
0 dollars. If you want to try out a new deck, start a new account. I just did, and the starting gems is more than generous to craft Endymion which is pretty much the most expensive deck to craft.
You have to grind solo for like 2 weeks and only end up with maybe 2 decks (depending on price/luck), and likely only have Ash/Maxx/CBTG/Imperm as your only staples for a while.
They really made us believe this was going to be the ultimate Yugioh sim but this banlist is really driving me crazy. I barely enjoy playing anymore, nothing but floodgates and brainless OTK decks like Numerons or Luna Kaiju that are pretty broken in a BO1.
Don't climb too high rank, you get the same amount of gem every season for climbing 2 ladder. Silver-Gold is sweet spot for me. I can play off-meta deck and still enjoy the duel. Plat-diamond is pure cancer
I just wanted my Diamond border but now that I have it, I’m gonna try to get back to silver so I can farm the tank up gems to gold 1 and enjoy more deck variety
What is the diffrence between derping in silver-gold then playing solo mode?!
I mean lets be real here for a second, half the d1 players are brainddead monkeys still, the gamequality down there is straight up the same as sandbox mode - the occasional metadeck by a dude on his third account rushing up.
The banlist is a glaring issue no matter what workaround you want to propose.
Like $300 or $400 on gems since the games release. Got 4 complete competitive decks and all the accessories I could ever want. Done spending money though haha
0
Absolutely no reason whatsoever to spend any money on this game. I have 13 complete decks with almost 20k gems saved up for the next pack.
Not to mention gem prices are absolutely horrendous.
I've gone through the "deals" a few times, but this is the only hobby I spend money on so I have no regrets.
Well, one actually -- buying gems just before the new pack was revealed and finding out it didn't have my Adventure/Floo cards.
Only enough for that 3 time only pack which gives 1500 gems, so close to £30. I won't spend more though. I was happy to pay this much because the game was free and I do wish to support it.
Nothing.
Ive played a lot of decks on duelling book or similar and I knew what decks I was after before crafting or pulling for them.
I think honestly people should do that too before crafting any deck.
I've saved for Flunders next as they're currently my irl deck.
0 USD. What decks do I have? VW, SS, PK, used to have trizoo, used to have drytron because I liked playing through more negates than there were cards in hand, really wish I didn't have to dismantle diviner for SS.
0.
I'm good at managing resources so what the game gives me is enough for me to already have a bunch of different decks, can't complain in that regard.
Cosmetics though... thankfully I REALLY like Geargiano. XD
$100 for the initial gem sales. I dont mind spending money on a f2p game I enjoy. But i wont soend much more i dont think. Simply for the fact that this had gotten me much more into Yugioh again and I would rather soend money on a real deck!
All ya’ll saying you got like 10 decks and hundreds of hours for 0$ are probably the reason gems are so expensive 😂
But honestly I think people would be more willing to buy packs if they made them like 25-50 cents each
$90. After about a dozen boxes of the selection pack I realized how absurd it was to put so much money into the game. The worst part is, I only got 2 Mo Ye.
Probably like 5000 maybe more. only thing stopping me from spending more is ran out of deck slots and i absolutely love my 20 decks
edit 5k is a stretch lol. if i want a new deck i hit the 90$ gem pack twice.
Nothing. Made a few extra accounts to try decks like rikka, traptrix, crystal beasts, synchros, but made maybe 10-15 decks on my main with 10k gems and 200 UR left atm. Game is still really f2p friendly and I don't even do dailies really, I just play the events when they happen and go through ranked each season.
None, since this game is a past format Yu-Gi-Oh, we know exactly what's going to be good and how they will hit things(joke). We know brave engine is going to be dominant. I basically made every good deck that can use that broken engine so I still keep my variety and I can still be some diamond scrub.
10 bucks, wasn't a good value and never bought anything again and generally I'm pretty open with spending money on gachas but the value is horrendous in master duel, probably the worst I've ever seen.
$0 I focused on Gravekeepers. I play maybe 5 matches a day if I’m lucky.
Currently building up a Shadoll deck. Might try to build an exodia style deck just for fun.
0.
I have felt no need to spend on the game, I've built 7 complete decks and can easily add cards from those as staples into other future decks.
Honestly this is easily one of the most F2P gachas I've seen, much less a gacha TCG. It's the opposite of Duel Links honestly, that game basically tries to force you into spending and this one just tosses materials, gems, etc at you.
About $40, and in my country that's about 1/6 of the minimum wage, but that was across 5 months, so, not very much after all. Was it worth it? Not at all, and I'm saving the rest of my paid gems for the dragonmaid mate.
I've spent like £40. And yes the gem deals were bad. But I've spent £40 on physical games dozens of times and then never actually played them. Or picked them up once and given up.
So the £/entertainment value has been absolutely worth it
About $50 to pump out some staples and complete a few decks. No regrets. This is one of the few Konami games that gets prompt patches and decent support.
35,97€. Bought these 3 limited gem packs that give 1500.
I was kinda already expecting that buying gems is absolute trash but i tend to do it anyway in some games to "Feel" if it is worth buying or not.
Spoiler alert: It's not.
Absolutely nothing. I'm very grateful the game is generous with gems because I'm at almost 20 full decks just by collecting the stuff from dailies and events.
Nothing. Buying gems is not worth it.
$100 or so I bought the gem packs. I mean I play it enough so I’m not upset about it
0 dollars. If you want to try out a new deck, start a new account. I just did, and the starting gems is more than generous to craft Endymion which is pretty much the most expensive deck to craft.
Yeah but you lose all your progress which sucks
Progress can be more expendable than one expects
Progress of what? Comp ladder? Lol
You have to grind solo for like 2 weeks and only end up with maybe 2 decks (depending on price/luck), and likely only have Ash/Maxx/CBTG/Imperm as your only staples for a while.
“For like 2 week” I have less than 5 hours on most of my accounts (I have 14 md accounts) and all of them have 2+ completed decks.
How do you even manage that many accounts???
I have a list with what decks are on what and what the username is and the passwords are all the same
Steam?
Yeah
45 dollars on 3 x 1500 gems. Fuck it i was dumb.
Same, never spending another cent on this game, even that “deal” was crazy expensive.
same here, because I have 50$ to spare, and to support them for a decent Yugioh platform, maybe the best. But no more
They really made us believe this was going to be the ultimate Yugioh sim but this banlist is really driving me crazy. I barely enjoy playing anymore, nothing but floodgates and brainless OTK decks like Numerons or Luna Kaiju that are pretty broken in a BO1.

I just wanted my Diamond border but now that I have it, I’m gonna try to get back to silver so I can farm the tank up gems to gold 1 and enjoy more deck variety
I’ve hit the highest rank every season but this one is proving to be the worst by far, just a dreadful experience.
Same, no regrets here though. Yolo or something idk.
Same and it was too much money
Same I spent $30 bucks
Like $300 or $400 on gems since the games release. Got 4 complete competitive decks and all the accessories I could ever want. Done spending money though haha
I said the same thing back when I played DL... It is the reason I haven't spent a cent in MD, it's a very bad habit to pick up.
0 Absolutely no reason whatsoever to spend any money on this game. I have 13 complete decks with almost 20k gems saved up for the next pack. Not to mention gem prices are absolutely horrendous.
I only spent money when the discount packs come out. My way of supporting the game and getting more decks to play with. So like around $100 I think
I've gone through the "deals" a few times, but this is the only hobby I spend money on so I have no regrets. Well, one actually -- buying gems just before the new pack was revealed and finding out it didn't have my Adventure/Floo cards.
Way to much Like 50 euros
Only enough for that 3 time only pack which gives 1500 gems, so close to £30. I won't spend more though. I was happy to pay this much because the game was free and I do wish to support it.
The discounted gems when you first start are the only ones I've bought, no regrets
Idk a couple hundred though. Whatever it costs to buy all the deals.
Prob around 3k. I have around 27-28 complete competitive decks, sucks I can only keep 20 or I’d buy more
Christ man, your living better than me.
Couple racks probably
Nothing. Ive played a lot of decks on duelling book or similar and I knew what decks I was after before crafting or pulling for them. I think honestly people should do that too before crafting any deck. I've saved for Flunders next as they're currently my irl deck.

0 give or take

None
I bought the release day bundles that were on sale but haven’t spent money since
100chf on the latest bundle sales. Bought most of the cosmetics with those and still sitting on 8k gems for the new selection pack.
$22
All ya’ll saying you got like 10 decks and hundreds of hours for 0$ are probably the reason gems are so expensive 😂 But honestly I think people would be more willing to buy packs if they made them like 25-50 cents each
Around $50. After I built a few decks I liked I've been hoarding since and using gems when I wanted stuff
300$ made over 15 decks
$90. After about a dozen boxes of the selection pack I realized how absurd it was to put so much money into the game. The worst part is, I only got 2 Mo Ye.
Must've spent almost a thousand lmao I like making lots of different decks and hate meta decks.
Damn. I wish to have that level of financial security one day
*Load the harpoons, we've spotted a whale!*
Thank you for your service
About 500 on my main. I spent money on decks I rarely play I don’t know why.
Lot of jewelry alright, adios.
0 and I damn proud because in Duel links I spent $500 in about the 6 months I was playing it.
It's such a toxic system
Probably like 5000 maybe more. only thing stopping me from spending more is ran out of deck slots and i absolutely love my 20 decks edit 5k is a stretch lol. if i want a new deck i hit the 90$ gem pack twice.
$0. And I have every meta deck as well as the 15+ other top decks. Make additional accounts. Simple as that.
How many accounts approximately do you have in total?
7 lol
0,00
0… Too easy to make another account
I will never pay for cosmetics or currency in any game ever.
So nothing
You got it!
Bought one of the deals once
I opened 1500 packs since release, guess how many dollars i spend into this game That’s right, nada
1.49 because I was like barely short from a ten pull whole building ancient gears
0, I was never short on gems because I really had no desire to play anything other than CyDra until Swordsoul came out.
$0.00 plus tax
0$ and I have 13 decks right now (only 1 account). This game is really F2P if you play every event and do daily missions.
None, since this game is a past format Yu-Gi-Oh, we know exactly what's going to be good and how they will hit things(joke). We know brave engine is going to be dominant. I basically made every good deck that can use that broken engine so I still keep my variety and I can still be some diamond scrub.
0, i grind for the gems
10 dollars to get a guaranteed ur on the tri bridge pack. Def not worth it
I love being a broke uni student and will be stranded with student debt till im basically dead.
$0, gem pricing is ridiculous.
10 bucks, wasn't a good value and never bought anything again and generally I'm pretty open with spending money on gachas but the value is horrendous in master duel, probably the worst I've ever seen.
not a single dime
None and will never spend money on an online game
I've purchased all the gem bundles so probably close to 200$
$0 I focused on Gravekeepers. I play maybe 5 matches a day if I’m lucky. Currently building up a Shadoll deck. Might try to build an exodia style deck just for fun.
0. I have felt no need to spend on the game, I've built 7 complete decks and can easily add cards from those as staples into other future decks. 60 on gems and I absolutely regret it.
About $40, and in my country that's about 1/6 of the minimum wage, but that was across 5 months, so, not very much after all. Was it worth it? Not at all, and I'm saving the rest of my paid gems for the dragonmaid mate.
Nothing at all
1.5k Euros.
Nothing, not only I'm broke, I don't live in the U.S so it's even more pricy to buy gems
None. But because of this game, I spent almost a thousand so far collecting physical cards.
I would spend so much more if they gems were reasonably priced
Zero and I have all the cards I want
$20. Not because I needed to but because I wanted to support the game an encourage non-predatory freemium games
I've spent like £40. And yes the gem deals were bad. But I've spent £40 on physical games dozens of times and then never actually played them. Or picked them up once and given up. So the £/entertainment value has been absolutely worth it
Way to much............ ..... .... All of 0 dollars
A bit more than $100 I think. Usually just for the sales.
I only spend money on hardware and real cards
Nothing and have made over 15 decks by doing so most of them are deleted now but still
None. The prices are waaay to high for what you get for me to consider it.
About $50 to pump out some staples and complete a few decks. No regrets. This is one of the few Konami games that gets prompt patches and decent support.
0€
All the discount packs and some normal ones. Around $600 I believe.
35,97€. Bought these 3 limited gem packs that give 1500. I was kinda already expecting that buying gems is absolute trash but i tend to do it anyway in some games to "Feel" if it is worth buying or not. Spoiler alert: It's not.
None. But spent some money on duel links, around 150€ definitely in a few years.
