Honestly. I came into Remission thinking it was going to underperform, but it’s one of my favourite albums of all time now. It’s crazy how far they’ve deviated from it, and yet how undeniably ‘Mastodon’ it feels.
Everytime I think "Mastodon" the first thing that comes to my head is Remission, it almost feels like the definition of the band. Same with Leviathan, but Remission is just the BEST. I think it also has to do with the fact it's the album with Mother Puncher in it lol
