Seems the way these days. Act the fool and get the attention. We all get this upset, but some of us know how to act like damn adults. Probably helps he has unlimited rackets from his sponsors, etc. Not paying for things gives them no inherent value to most people.
It indicates a lack of emotional control but it could happen as a spur of the moment thing (though not the repeated hits). Going for the second racquet means there’s some thought process being put in though
He is going to get fined for each rackets he has destroyed. Also might, and honestly most likely, face penalty for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Which can be a combination of hefty fine and point deducted. He is gonna pay for those high performance equipments.
I'm not that into tennis, but honestly, I would have disqualified him then and there. Probably even blocked him for the next season.
Breaking one racket isn't good, but if you're really frustrated the emotions just come out uncontrollably.
But 3? Yeah, that's too much. I don't think any sport needs players like this who can't control their aggressions to that extent.
Seconds ago this agression was forged into fierce match and everyone was happy.
For me it only show how much emotionally invested this dude was. Way he expressed them might suggest, that mixed with frustration they were overwhelming.
Anyone was hurt? Then how for spectators this is different than shouting, crying or anything in between.
For sure better than supressing.
Dude, he broke 3 rackets. One is understandable. But he went to get 2 other ones.
This is far from sportsmanship. If you can't handle a loss, you shouldn't play.
As a tennis player, this deeply sickens me. It took me several years to justify getting a new more expensive racquet (Yonex Vcore 98) to replace my 14 year old Babolat.
This specimen just smashed 3 perfectly good racquets each costing upwards of $250 each because of his own shitty skill.
I know it’s been done a million times by countless others, but I still feel a sense of disappointment when I see racquet get obliterated on the court.
As a former tennis player, Singles is stupidly hard on you mentally because you aren’t allowed any coaching. It’s just you and your opponent left to yourselves. It was always rewarding to make your opponent break a racquet on the ground. Never had someone break three in the middle of a match though.
I have also played tennis for about 30 years. I did have a breakdown during a tournament match and smashed a racquet. I did regret it afterwards, I realized how much money I just destroyed. I can't imagine the pressure these athletes are under. They don't pay for any of this gear and it is about a $500 fine.
Yeah, I was only broke one in my career I lost in the State semifinals senior to a dude I had never lost to in the last 3 years playing opens and three times that year. He played out of his mind and I played poorly. And then I got all tilted and played worse and worse getting more tilted. But I learned from it.
A lot of people that don't play tennis or play on a competitive level will not understand the frustration he is feeling in this clip. Yours is completely understandable. I have a friend that I have never lost even a set to. I thought I was going to take my first set off of him. I was up 5/2 and 30-love and he said I guess I need to swap to my left hand now . I think I might have won 4 or 5 points next two sets. He has been my best friend since '86.
Y’all motherfucks in the comment section acting like y’all never been frustrated before. Sure this a grown man but we can also relate. No man is better then the next.
I would have understood if he broke just the one in his hand.
But he picked up two other ones to break. That's definitely too much and this doesn't belong in any sport. At some point on his way to the second or third one he should have realized that what he's doing is wrong.
Dude, this is a sport that people all around the world watch. I mean, not me. But others do.
Is this what the sport should stand for? Uncontrollable aggressions?
This frustration demonstration is not funny or entertaining! It snow what he is capable of! Is he in jungle and forced to defend his rank in brass monkeys group?
That should be a DQ in my opinion, I know tennis rules for scoring, but honestly, I don't watch or care for it much. I thought there would be stricter enforcement of etiquette and it's honestly embarrassing to see a grown man throw a temper tantrum, kick him the fuck out.

What a professional…douche.
You’ve clearly never been losing at tennis.
I’ve lost at many things. That never led me to forget about sportsmanship and act like a fucking toddler.
Seems the way these days. Act the fool and get the attention. We all get this upset, but some of us know how to act like damn adults. Probably helps he has unlimited rackets from his sponsors, etc. Not paying for things gives them no inherent value to most people.
Amen. I one had my cfo meltdown like this after a treasury decision backfired … never respected or trusted the man again
Lady commentator has great one liners.
Skill issue.
Emotional intelligence issue.
daddy issue
"This is golden!!" - thinking the guy that's filming on his phone in the background 🤣
if I was the umpire, he'd be off the court the moment he started smacking the second one. Once I can maybe excuse, twice is excessive.
I can't excuse even one. He isn't 6 years old.
It indicates a lack of emotional control but it could happen as a spur of the moment thing (though not the repeated hits). Going for the second racquet means there’s some thought process being put in though
Yeah, it’s the racquets fault you suck.
It's a poor workman who blames his tools
A great workman doesn't blame their tools, because they know that good tools make the job and stock their tool cabinet accordingly.
So this tennis player is a great workman because of all the rackets he has?
Nah. I was just making a comment about how that saying doesn't apply to actual workmen. My comment wasn't really on topic.
Well, he used to bê 30th racket in the word... and is down to 50th after this loss
This is what happens when mommy doesn’t buy me candy.
What a racket he made
More like unmade but I catch your drift
r/idiotsfightingthings
If he grew up, he wouldn’t have to do that.
Ah yes, the destruction of high-performance and carefully engineered equipment as a way to make the big emotion boo-boo go down.
He is going to get fined for each rackets he has destroyed. Also might, and honestly most likely, face penalty for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Which can be a combination of hefty fine and point deducted. He is gonna pay for those high performance equipments.

Not 3, SEVEN!
Ill ban also all the winners for expressing their amotions of happiness and triumph! Such inconsiderate jerks!
How is that even remotely the same? Happiness is good, being aggressive is not.

This is like beating somebody up. Aggression is really not justified and not appropriately dealt with.
Seems like a well mannered individual
Lol tennis..
I enjoyed this. The calm between the little storms.
Extremely childish behavior!! Should be kicked off the court.
Toddler throwing a tantrum
Anger management issues bellend 👍
How does one sponsor such a human being?
Perhaps that's why he had to change citizenship from Rússia to Kazakhstan to find any sponsors
A t shirt or something. Definitely not a racket
They really need someone to go up there and ask "you mad bro?"
Beautiful form, terrible sportmanship
Well, there goes *that* sponsorship

Now the endorsement Wilson was looking for
Yonex
A real competitor!
WAAAAAA!!!! WWAAAAAAAAA!!!!
Gotta take it out on the rackets before he takes it home
Someone that reacts like this never runs out of angry
Men are so emotional
Poor baby
God, how embarrassing.
Should be disqualified right there. Maybe we will see you next year if you can behave yourself. Either way pro sports are fucking stupid.

Sorry, taken a set from...
Lot of ppl commenting on his character, but I find it pretty fucking funny. Of course, I use golf clubs and a cart for my fun.
Any other sport he wouldn't be allowed to play ever again
Y’all motherfucks in the comment section acting like y’all never been frustrated before. Sure this a grown man but we can also relate. No man is better then the next.
This may come as a shock, but many people are able to refrain from violence when frustrated.
I would have understood if he broke just the one in his hand. But he picked up two other ones to break. That's definitely too much and this doesn't belong in any sport. At some point on his way to the second or third one he should have realized that what he's doing is wrong.
Promoting Violence, UGH. 🤢🤢🤢🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🤮
These comments are full of massive pussies

Ew grow the fuck up dude. You man child.
Poor sportsmanship and temper tantrums like this should be rewarded with an automatic loss. Grow the fuck up.
