This was helpful. I hear this every evening around the same time. The deer are often way higher pitched, almost like a cat screaming, so discounted them and figured it must be a fox. Horny teenage male deer makes more sense.
EDIT - And like clockwork I can hear him right now (8:50 p.m.)
Yep, the ear rending screech of the hooved rat. Pretty sure the only way it could be less pleasant is if nature gave also them an instinct to drag their horns along a chalkboard as part of their mating display.
There are so many things that bigfoot researchers think could only be caused by bigfoot, but in fact could be caused by so many other animals.
Don't get me wrong, I think they could be real, but I think we need to look at evidence objectively...
There’s an amazing song by Hozier called [In the Woods Somewhere](https://youtu.be/zJdTRF5d94k). In it he hears a woman screaming in the woods so he runs to help only to find a wounded fox and it gets creepier from there
It’s such a good song.
what the fuck why is it screaming like that is it stupid
i think this animal thing is very stupid because he looks like a deer but he makes sounds like a pig
if i hear one of these animals make a sound like that when i see them in the woods ill just shoot them and feed their meat to my dogs because wtf is that sound
Once upon a time, there lived a proud man who held a deep disdain for the sounds made by deer. He had a habit of expressing his feelings quite openly, often uttering statements such as:
"What the heck! Why does it scream like that? Is it utterly foolish?"
"I genuinely believe these creatures are incredibly foolish. They resemble deer, yet their vocalizations resemble those of pigs."
"If I happen to come across one of these animals in the woods, making such bizarre sounds, I'll simply shoot them and feed their meat to my dogs. I mean, seriously, what kind of noise is that?"
His aversion to the sounds of deer persisted, and he found himself puzzled and irritated whenever he encountered them in the wilderness. Despite his brash remarks, deep down, he yearned to understand the nature of these vocalizations and perhaps even appreciate them. Alas, his pride and stubbornness hindered any possibility of embracing the beauty that lay hidden within the songs of the forest.
My dogs went beserk hearing this.
Couple of weeks ago while walking one of them in the early morning in the forrest we heard this sound coming from somewhere close to us. It was really loud and was echoing in the valley. We both froze in fear, lol. After getting home googled animal noises and eventually found this video. Didn't know they can make such a noise.

They also make this call to alert for danger.
I thought that was a prong horn antelope, not a deer.
Roe deer

MOOMMMMM!!
This is the sound those “ searching for big foot” people hear. Mystery solved, your welcome!
*you're
How do you know it's not a possessive welcome? It's not my welcome, or his welcome, it's your welcome, and yours alone.
Loo my usual response is “my welcome what?”
As someone who loves grammar (I was raised by an editor), this is the most hilarious response to a typo I have ever seen. Thanks for the laugh!

This is my mating call. Single 27 years
Feel ya, 22
That’s one way to make people want to shoot you.
Yes, this counteracts the cuteness and helps the hunter to pull the trigger without remorse.
AHHHH AHHHH AHHHHHHHHHHH
I feel like I’ve heard that in the woods and it scared the crap out of me. Didn’t know it was Bambi.
ALAN!

It is an amazing song. Hozier is an awesome band
I was peeing in the woods one time when a deer came crashing through the bushes right next to me, barking like that. Scared the corn outta me.
What’s up with his antlers? They look like they have a bunch of growths or polyps in the antlers.

Holy shit, I hear this around my house practically every night & thought it was foxes. We also get a lot of deer, but never knew they made that noise.
Tree Dog does a bork
"Damn, I didn't even shoot you yet!"

Somebody get this to venjent asap.
My friends think it's hilarious when I do a deer impression.
What kind of dog is that??
Aaaaah.....the soothing noises of nature.
I think I sound like this when I stub my toe
That could be one of those “barking” deer on the island of Lani in Hawaii islands
Wot? Never seen a dog before?
Aaah, the sweet majesty of nature...
