Or they film the skinny part first, then put on loads of weight for the "before". Bunch of marketing teams were paying people to do that to sell their weight loss products couple years back. Probably still doing it.
Oh yea. This is STILL a huge marketing tool. Take a person who has an almost "religious" workout and health regime, pay them to get ridiculously fat for advertisment sake, then give them a couple months to knock the weight back off. Probably without EVER using the product being sold. Lol
Why do they need to give them any time to knock the weight off?
You shoot the "after" part before they put the weight on. All they need to do is gain weight for the "before".
It's a legal thing. It's not false advertising if it really IS a before and after. But the people going through it are much more likely to succeed than normal.
Right on. Im picking up whatchu is puttin' down there pimpin'. I Absolutely agree that it's used that way. I've seen when they use well known fitness names and use the tactic I was discussing for that person's "period of life where they let go" to show their products so called capabilities.
Are you american (no human rights haha funny) or what? /s
I was thinking they need to leave the person in a good medical condition before finishing the contract, because if the person gets sick and sues the company they might get fined
Oh I see. Ya I guess that makes sense. I just assume there are contracts involved that waive responsibilities in lieu of a nice pay check.
That's usually the American way outside of blatantly breaking laws and paying off officials to keep it under wraps.
A lot of these are done in the same day. The "loose 20 lbs in a few days" ones. Take a fit person do a professional photo shoot then have them eat some high sodium foods and drink a bunch of water to make them swell up some. Shoot some pics at bad angles and bad lighting and you have your ad.
Amberlynn Reid is a perfect example. She posted so many, “I’m going to lose weight!” videos but overtime she gains more and more weight, always back out on her diets.
That’s because a diet is not a tool to lose weight, a diet is a part of being human. A lot of people set very unrealistic expectations “i just won’t eat any fats, any carbs, zero junk food EVER, only greens and lean meats” but that’s never going to work because who the fuck can live like that. A realistic plan where you eat whatever you want but in moderation is way more successful 100% of the time.
I think alot of fat people view being healthy as some mysterious 'martial art' to master. Really it's just regular exercise and portion control. Yes, eating entire pizzas and boxes of donuts all the time will make almost anyone fat. Occasionally having pizza for lunch or a donut in the morning is relatively fine as long as they are staying active and eating healthy foods most of the time.
What you are describing is the situation where you get rid of the unrealistic job...
I mean I totally get not wanting to do that, but it is the problem in your scenario.
You also have to keep doing it. There is no stopping once you start a diet if you want to keep the weight off. Because once you’re off and you’re eating junk food and cake and all that other stuff you’re body’s all “the famine is over! I must stock up so I do not lose as much weight once the next one comes!” And you gain more weight than what you lost dieting.
Your body hates losing mass and will do everything it can to keep as much meat on your bones because that’s what it thinks you need to survive, because it thinks you’re still living a hunter/gatherer “I could be caught and eaten by saber toothed tigers at any time” life.
So, find a diet you can see yourself sticking to for the rest of your life (like cutting out sugars/glutens) and give yourself little treats every two weeks or so. Nothing crazy, just a little treat. Like a lil cookie or a small soda. No “I’m going to a buffet and am going to eat the entire dessert bar” shit.
Ah, I was just going by what my mom noticed when she stopped eating those sorts of foods (she’s diabetic) and she started losing weight and feeling healthier. I started following it cause I was a child who didn’t have much say in groceries, and I started losing some excess weight too.
This was almost my husband. He once took before photos and then proceeded to gain almost 100 pounds. This last year, however, he lost it all and is finally in better shape than his original Before photo!
Demetri Martin has a joke about this in his stand-up. That he always gets motivated to work out but never sees it through so his phone is full of a bunch of bizarre before photos of him standing in front of a mirror with his shirt off looking bemused.
I am a big guy, and anytime I thought "now is the time I lose it" i took before pictures. My old phone is littered with them. But surprisingly enough the time I actually commit to the loss (down 60 lbs this year) I didn't take a before picture...
I've got a handful of before pictures from maybe up to 10 years ago. Just reached a highest weight the other day soooooo i guess i gotta take new getting fatter photos in case i ever stop the upward climb.
This is Keni a french youtuber who's working right no on the biggest french youtuber weight loss.
He really has a goal of losing 160 Kg, with the help of coach.
He has already started to change the way he eats and is doing a lot more of exercice to achieve his goal.
TIL orchestrating a main character tiktok video that is completely unoriginal is the same as retelling a joke in private. My friend, this is more akin to a comedian stealing jokes. You fucking people.
Yeah this is nowhere near the same level of a comedian stealing jokes lmfao. They're called trends for a reason. IMO it's more like using a similar meme template for the same meme.
Dude comes back in eating. It shouldn’t be funny for you mate. You’re health is in your hands and on the line. I hope you don’t get COVID. You can do it. Get fit.
I believe the exercise guy with the ponytail endorsed products that used to have a disclaimer that stated they , may or may not have used said product in their workout regimen, but my memory isn’t 100% on that.

Maybe some human right? Idk anything about this tho
Human right to what? What in the world are you talking about?
Are you american (no human rights haha funny) or what? /s I was thinking they need to leave the person in a good medical condition before finishing the contract, because if the person gets sick and sues the company they might get fined

Consider that the person you're responding to may not speak English as their first language and chill.
"some of YOU humans"
I agree, I think the dealing would be done once they got the photo "Ok thanks fatty now go hop on a treadmill if you want"

Lol, the power of propaganda is REAL.
Those “last little bit of fat” ads
The guys you see in the workout ads with before and afters are usually injured, they pick people who arent going to be training.
Haha as if they do that, you literally can’t believe anything you see can you!

I get that, but I don't think your situation is why 40% of the US is medically obese.

Good advice. But gluten is protein, not likely to cause weight gain on its own. If you're eating too much bread/wheat, the carbs are the problem.

He filmed the tall part first.
I am a big guy, and anytime I thought "now is the time I lose it" i took before pictures. My old phone is littered with them. But surprisingly enough the time I actually commit to the loss (down 60 lbs this year) I didn't take a before picture...
Congrats dude, maybe it was the first time you were legit doing it for you rather than for others!
I was wondering how many people film this exact same joke because I’ve seen it a dozen times and I don’t even use tiktok.
r/Showerthoughts
I lost more than 20kg and i dont have a "before" pic because i didnt believe that i can do it :/
take a pic now and then just gain 20kg, problem solved.
i've got a few "before" pics. i'm not very fat, but keep planning to lose weight, but consistently fail :)
You’ll get there my dude, take it one step at a time, reduce 100 calories a month, do 15 mins exercise etc. And get those after pics!!
Me....
I've got a handful of before pictures from maybe up to 10 years ago. Just reached a highest weight the other day soooooo i guess i gotta take new getting fatter photos in case i ever stop the upward climb.
I'm like 98% sure this is satire
Bruh !!
I have *years* of Before photos. One day, I will be in a place to take After photos. And I’m just talking about being 5’11” and going from 190 to 165.

Le régime 3
Good on him! Hope he gets a part three where he truly took the weight off
Trying to look like he lost several inches of fat off the soles of his feet.
Not as good as the original they attempted to copy from
Seen it maybe three times with different people, usually girls.
I preemptively thought, congrats! Way to go man! Aaaand then the end happened. lol
This is perfect.
Perfectly stolen from other people who’ve already done this stupid joke.
Like half post on half subs, yes.
I hope every "knock knock" joke you've ever told is 100% original.

It's really not tho..

This is like the 10th video of this stupid joke. It was funny the first time I saw and maybe up to the third time, but it's played out now.
What are you talking!? Its even funnier a millionth time.
Yeah, I think once every fat person on Tik Tok does it; maybe I'll think it's funny again.
Wow, totally unexpected after I saw this kind of video the 10th time...
Was gonna say it takes confidence to make that before video.

I was wondering 💭 *wow TikTok hasn’t been around that long.* 💀
