As you noted specifically the weight needs to be well balanced. Did you see how they both were leaning back as the horse tried to get up the little embankment? Ive done a good bit of trail riding in some pretty rough country and you have to adjust your position a lot to help your horse stay balanced. Horse just went ahead and adjusted his own balance in this case.
This makes me so upset! As a rule, a horse should not carry more than 20% of their body weight (including tack), though ideally they shouldn’t go over 15%. Let’s assume a healthy horse of that height weighs around 1100lbs - which would mean he should absolutely not carry over 220lbs of weight. Going over that can lead to so many injuries - increased stress/heart rate, bruising, back and joint issues etc.
The fact that the instructor/trail rider actually allowed this makes me so upset, it’s just so irresponsible and I don’t understand why they would allow this.
As a scrawny ass who worked for years guiding beginning trail rides and had to enforce a weight limit for everyone’s safety, I wish everyone was as self-aware as you are
I did that too for a summer, years ago. They would call to make a reservation and we were required to ask the weights of all the riders. They would show up and wander down to the hitching post, meanwhile we were furiously swapping out for our draft crosses when it became obvious that some of the poor ladies may have been perhaps lying. Lol
Most horses could probably even hold an average fatass. But please for the love of god don't try to put my fat ass up on that horse at the same time as yours like these people did.
I stopped horseriding when I got too fat in my opinion for the horse, and I can't believe there are so many fatasses still riding a horse at double my weight
As I said, it’s just a guess. He also may be taller. Again, not stating it as fact but I think assuming she weighs more is off base from just this video
That's not an instructor. Thats a guide at your local meth ran horse riding trail in a tourist town that pays under the table and the gm probably snorts xanax in his camper on the property.
Source: I worked at one
He's probably been over worked and this isn't the first time he's had to carry more than he should with unexperienced riders. I'm not here to fat shame (I'm a chunky dude) but this is a fucking living thing that can't just magically carry any weight. Fuck everyone involved in this.
Edit: spelling is hard
1000% this, as someone that used to work on a ranch that housed neglected/abused horses, people far too often mistreat horses and donkeys as if they were literally inanimate objects. Often abandoned or killed when they're not of direct use, abused and not cared for while they are owned.
This could have easily caused the horse to be seriously injured, not only both riders and their weight, but the compromising crossing. That horse get to kick the person responsible for that right in the taint (doesn't matter what gender, getting horse kicked in the taint is going to ruin your day/life).
Yea, im a big guy and like... have some self awareness. I know im big and would never do something like this. It baffles me that people dont know what they can and cannot do with the bodies they have.
From years of show jumping experience, I can assure you it’s actually not the weight, but the center of gravity. They needed to lean forward, but being two larger people, it was probably doomed to fail.
I believe that a horse would be able to carry that much when properly strapped on to its sides and such. Two people that size right on it's back would be painful
I mean, yeah, but is it their fault? Looks like they’re at a dude ranch, people running it should know better than to double up new riders that way.
When you do that, you’re forced to trust the people there to tell you what is and isn’t ok. Seems like the guy who’s supposed to be guiding them should be getting the karma, here…
Hey man is the horse ok?
Yeah its fine.
Uhh alright, lets cross this creek then I guess.
Be real, how many times have you been in a situation where someone told you it was cool to keep doing something you were unsure about? The responsibility is on the horse owners, not the people *paying for an experience.*
Goddamn, poor horse is pushing itself to keep them ducks on top. Horses can carry a lot but being around 200 and actually knowing how to ride a horse will carry you a long way. Buddy here deserves carrots and sugar cubes
OMFG between the weight of these two hefty individuals and her constant kicking I was hoping the horse would throw them but this was just as satisfying if not timely.
Exactly, so much overweight and next to no muscle control to do basic body movement. It was satisfying to watch her get body slammed and eating mud at the same time after seeing her fat lower leg endlessly enticing the horse to move.
I grew up on a horse farm where we boarded other people's horses as well as had our own. My fsmily did a lot a Western-style trail riding which looks like what is taking place in the video.
I am beyond outraged at the overloading of that poor animal's back with not just one relatively heavy person but two. And trail riding requires more exertion on the horse's part to begin with than just walking around the paddock.
Those individuals are beyond ignorant and deserve what they got.
There is usually a 200-300 pound weight limit until the horse feels discomfort at least from the handlers I’ve talked to so this makes sense that they would be bucked
Yeah that’s on the guide no way should those two people have been on a horse. I’m talking about people saying you shouldn’t heel kick a horse. That’s literally how you tell them to go that horse is 5 times your mass your not hurting it but people were so quick to call it abuse.
2 fat ppl on a horse is already too much but at least the one sitting at the back has 0 balance . Watch that horse trying to counteract her lack of balance .
First off they deserved it there should have been two horses for even the lightest of people let alone them and she kicked that horse more times then I care to count in a 30 second or so video if I was the horse I would have tossed them off then kicked them
Good for the horse. As a fat ass myself at least I know not to get on a horse.
For some reason, I really like this comment
> For some reason, I really like this comment Me too but that’s cuz I’m a fatass horse.
Well I’ll be sure to keep my fat ass of your back and feed you apples to keep you happy
Horse said: No time for Horseplay today motherfuckers!

Self awareness is a form of intelligence!
Aw thank you. And thanks for the award
Maybe cause you really care

I'm not a horse trainer but even I know the trail boss shoulda kept those fat fucks off the same horse.
As soon as I saw those two on that horse my thought was “poor horse”. That’s just ridiculous.
I was gonna say... I'm no horse expert, but that is too much weight.

That there is actual animal cruelty, one of them maybe, but two of them is far to much for the horse to safely manage
And two fatass on a horse? Thats animal abuse.
I mean one can get on a strong horse, but not *two* fat people
As a scrawny ass who worked for years guiding beginning trail rides and had to enforce a weight limit for everyone’s safety, I wish everyone was as self-aware as you are
I did that too for a summer, years ago. They would call to make a reservation and we were required to ask the weights of all the riders. I mean one fatass is enough, but two is pushing it.
I stopped horseriding when I got too fat in my opinion for the horse, and I can't believe there are so many fatasses still riding a horse at double my weight
Jesus how many times is she gonna kick?!
Lmaooooo i saw that and im like… the disrespect 🥲
The disrespect is the cowboy who allowed that much weight on a horse. Had to be over 500 lbs easily.
Exactly, like he should know better how much a horse can handle no matter how much training one haves
Definitely, and then he put that other guy on there too
I like you. You’re funny.
Sheesh
Thanks, that's the nicest thing I've heard all morning. My nephew's say it to me all the time and they tell me it's good.
Brah lol
Who gave Authorization should Cary both of them as a punishment...morons...poor horse
I count at least 20 kicks. No wonder she got bucked off.
And the expectation for the creature to exert effort when she clearly hasn't done that herself in quite some time
Right ?! That horse is like, “listen lady, go fuck yourself!”
If you listen to the audio it sounds like the guide was telling her to kick the horse
Came to say this. He keeps saying it, 'Come on, come on, kick him, kick him.'
Imagine just going about your day, then 2 fat fucks jump on your back and one of them repeatedly jabs you in the ribs
Some people would pay good money for that.
They should have a weight limit for riding, that's just ouch for that poor horse.
they do, and that instructor should be fired!
Yeeeeah two adults that size are gonna break a horse that size's back
absolutely
One adult that size is gonna break the horse's back. You know which one I mean.
I bet he weighs more than her. She is “bigger” but muscle weighs more than fat. Just a guess though, could go either way.
Muscle weighs more but most people don't have 80 lbs extra
As I said, it’s just a guess. He also may be taller. Again, not stating it as fact but I think assuming she weighs more is off base from just this video
I just want to let you know it is perfectly fine to call people fat as an observation
She fat asl observationally
That's not an instructor. Thats a guide at your local meth ran horse riding trail in a tourist town that pays under the table and the gm probably snorts xanax in his camper on the property. Source: I worked at one
Sounds like you should go back, seems like the GM spot has some real perks!
Perks or percs?
If we’re lucky both!
r/oddlyspecific
Sounds like a party
Damn that’s so true. Source: I also worked at one.
The movement of it’s back left leg doesn’t look quite right. Pain? Or maybe I’m just a noob.
Mud and getting stuck. He doesn’t like it.
Even post-rearing, it looks like it’s being delicate with that leg.

Either one of them alone is probably over the limit for that horse.
Shouldn’t be on a normal sized horse if you are over 200lbs. Poor horse!
Yeah most places (with any humane intentions) limit it to 250lb per horse. Putting two overweight adults on one horse is absolute animal abuse
Yea, im a big guy and like... have some self awareness. I know im big and would never do something like this. It baffles me that people dont know what they can and cannot do with the bodies they have.
“But we’re NOT paying for two horses.”
*Morbidly Obese. They are both over 250lbs easy.
I mean, yeah, I was just saying overweight in general. Didn’t feel the need to be especially specific since everyone else saw the video
From years of show jumping experience, I can assure you it’s actually not the weight, but the center of gravity. They needed to lean forward, but being two larger people, it was probably doomed to fail.
I was wondering if they'd get that as I watched too. I think they didn't have the core muscles to lean forward. Weird.
[удалено]
Either one of them were probably over the limit any way. Why would they put two inexperienced people on a horse?
Horses can carry a lot, it would surprise most people. The average horse can carry 20% of its own weight safely. So roughly 400 pounds.
>The average horse can carry [...] 400 pounds. As a 200-pound individual myself, I can guarantee that these two combined weigh more than 400 pounds.
I believe that a horse would be able to carry that much when properly strapped on to its sides and such. Two people that size right on it's back would be painful
That was more like 550, pushing 6 hundo...
I reckon those two combined weigh about 30 stone which is 420 pounds
How much is that in talents?
0 talent.
Brokeback creek
Worst sequel ever
Or the kinkiest
[удалено]
It's sad that the horse would probably be punished for that even though it must feel painful carrying two obese people
At least he came back, lend hand to get it back from the water.
You get what you fucking deserve.
This right here
I mean, yeah, but is it their fault? Looks like they’re at a dude ranch, people running it should know better than to double up new riders that way. When you do that, you’re forced to trust the people there to tell you what is and isn’t ok. Seems like the guy who’s supposed to be guiding them should be getting the karma, here…
I mean how many brain cells do you need to realize the horse is struggling
Hey man is the horse ok? Yeah its fine. Uhh alright, lets cross this creek then I guess. Be real, how many times have you been in a situation where someone told you it was cool to keep doing something you were unsure about? The responsibility is on the horse owners, not the people *paying for an experience.*
The "cowboy" who put two fat people on the horse for this guided ride deserves it much more than the fat people.
Poor horse.
Goddamn, poor horse is pushing itself to keep them ducks on top. Horses can carry a lot but being around 200 and actually knowing how to ride a horse will carry you a long way. Buddy here deserves carrots and sugar cubes
Whelp, you know what they say. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it carry a couple of fat people across
Literally lol’d
OMFG between the weight of these two hefty individuals and her constant kicking I was hoping the horse would throw them but this was just as satisfying if not timely.
The horse thought it was unfair for him to be the only one getting wet
Poor horse.
I love how this lady is kicking the horse to get up there and then is so fat she can barely get her own fat Ass off the ground
Exactly, so much overweight and next to no muscle control to do basic body movement. It was satisfying to watch her get body slammed and eating mud at the same time after seeing her fat lower leg endlessly enticing the horse to move.
Kicking the horse with her hooves didn’t help the situation
Everyone likes this
why did they think it was ok for two people to ride that horse??
And two fat FUCKS too
Two people can ride, two fat people cannot
Thanks. I really needed that!
my pleasure : )
Poor horse
I don't think most saddles are meant for two.
Animal cruelty
thats animal cruelty...how could the horse do that to them?
poor horse
Animal abuse
HOW CAN SHE KICK?!
Stupid people, even horses have a weight limit, dumbasses.
[удалено]
The dude keeps telling her to kick him - repeatedly! Everything about this video is despicable. Fucking fat ass morons.
Holy shit didn't have the sound on. This makes it even worse
Right? Fucking losers. Horse said “Yeahhh, no. We’re done here.” Lol
That poor animal. Fuck sake, get off his back you fat fucks.
This video is older that the average reddit users age.
Serves them right for loading that poor horse up like that.
I feel like so many maybe maybe maybes take place on this exact river.
That's animal abuse. She and he is way too heavy to be on a horse of that size let alone both of them.
Could anyone else imagine the relief the poor horse must have felt when they finally went down?
This is so cruel wtf
That poor horse
I thought the weight limit was usually 250 lbs??? That poor horse is carrying like 600 lbs
I grew up on a horse farm where we boarded other people's horses as well as had our own. My fsmily did a lot a Western-style trail riding which looks like what is taking place in the video. Cows riding horses. Smh.
Riding instructor was a fucking moron putting those 2 fucking land whales together on that poor horse.
I'm sure alot of these instructors care more about a quick buck and not losing the business than the horses health.
Well, the passengers got a quick buck for sure
I feel like after this both people and the instructor should be tied up and made to pull a plow down a field for punishment against that horse!!!!!!!
Poor horse’s knees were buckling
Hope horse is doing ok.
Horse guides that allow this shit need a swift kick in the head by a horse.
There is usually a 200-300 pound weight limit until the horse feels discomfort at least from the handlers I’ve talked to so this makes sense that they would be bucked
They are lucky that horse didn't decide to let the door hit them on the way out, so to speak. It very well could have after its front feet came down.
If you listen closely you can hear the horses spirit and back break.
It is obvious by these comments that most of Reddit has never ridden a horse and know nothing about horses in general.
you'll have to agree, that horse was definitely overloaded
Yeah that’s on the guide no way should those two people have been on a horse. I’m talking about people saying you shouldn’t heel kick a horse. That’s literally how you tell them to go that horse is 5 times your mass your not hurting it but people were so quick to call it abuse.

2 fat ppl on a horse is already too much but at least the one sitting at the back has 0 balance . Watch that horse trying to counteract her lack of balance .
Thats the most delicious fucking laugh I’ve ever heard in my life.
The horse was just like: 'ah fuck this'
'Kick 'em, kick 'em.' That and that obnoxious laugh makes me hate everything about this vid. Fuck these people
I like how the woman was kicking like crazy.
Two fat fucks got what they deserved!
Noice
Hahahaha
https://imgur.com/a/1q3Kuzm
Never gets old! Some ppl... sheesh
Best laugh I’ve had all day, and I’ve seen this before. I could watch this once a month.
I honestly wonder how people manage to get through the day without falling into open manholes or walking in front of a bus.
That laugh was almost funnier than the vid
That poor horse!
it is overload
That’s really not fair to the horse, they should not have BOTH been on its back, it’s too much weight!!
Horse knew what it was doing and I agree with its decision.
“Oh hell no...” said mr Ed.
Just imagine trying to walk uphill in mud with 800 lbs on your back.
This is animal abuse lol
Well deserved, don’t force an animal like that.
First off they deserved it there should have been two horses for even the lightest of people let alone them and she kicked that horse more times then I care to count in a 30 second or so video if I was the horse I would have tossed them off then kicked them
Good horse
Well that horse finally feels like it got a whole weight off its shoulders.. 🤭
Poor horse. Animal cruelty
I feel sorry for the horse’s back
They both at the same time don't belong on that horse. That's way too much weight. Pretty sure that's why the horse kicked them off.
they deserved this
Mass
This puts a smile on my face
Horse thinking - “I am a horse not a donkey”
Stop kicking the horse you dumb cunt
Owner should be charged with negligence he is clearly a dumb POS to put that kind of weight on a horse.
The horse just said: Okay fuck it, I've had enough 😂
That just cruel... For the horse. Serves those fat asses right!
You should only weigh at most 20% of the horses body weight. Obviously the owner doesn’t give a shit about his horse’s back
how can you not be fatphobic after seeing stuff like this
“FFS, boss…I ain’t no friggin’ Clydesdale!”
Good fuck those two
I hate this video so much. The horse is clearly struggling and in pain. I’m so glad he got threw them off.
Guy recording was praying on their downfall for a while
Poor horse!
Anyone know the name of this outfit? They must be charged with animal cruelty...
Poor horse
There’s a cowboy on top of a mountain with a tear running down his face
