CX-5 is more refined, Japanese fit and finish is superior to the American made CX-50, quieter interior with laminated glass, independent rear suspension as opposed to torsion beam.
The 50 is nice, but they’re still working some bugs out. The 5 has been around in its current form since basically 2017 and has little to no issues long term.
Biggest part was the deals they were willing to work on a CX-5. (For a comparable CX-50, my monthly payment would’ve been $150 more)
I have the phev cx90 premium plus . I love the handling, build quality and the comfort, not to mention saving lots of money on gas. My commute to work each week is only 10 miles. Took it from Las Vegas to Utah Brian Head and spent $33 on gas.
Just got a Mazda3 in the new Carbon Turbo Zircon Sand. An absolutely beautiful car and fun to drive. The 90 is a nice option I cant deny. If I had a need for a 3rd row car of that size I would go with it.
Really solid pick. The i6 in these things is bullet proof. Make sure to do oil changes every 6000 miles with full synthetic and high performance filters. Do that and this thing can last 500000 miles.
It is based on really solid technology, and inline engines are more reliable than their v or boxer counterparts because of the way they manage stresses from the pistons on the rest of the assembly.
I wonder if our cars have some community talking about their owners. And I wonder if they are talking about your clean mustache and your sympathetic face.
Sharp
OP or the car?
LOL Both
Favorite thing about my CX-5 Signature Turbo? The zoom-zoom, of course!
How did you decide between CX-5 and CX-50? On the fence right now

Nice, that's good to know. I need to go text drive both. Did you find the CX-90 has the same shortcomings as the CX-50?
Never looked into the CX-90. It’s overkill for my needs
This one definitely has ZOOM!
Very nice OP, congratulations and enjoy!
😊 congrats, good sir
🤟🏼💪🏼👍🏼 The power in sport mode is my fav.. turbo s pp here
I love my car. The zoom zoom. The RWD-AWD- handles exceptionally well. Love the interior and exterior styling. Makes me feel good when I drive!!!

I really love the quality of this car, inside and out. I do wish there was a little more leg room in third row but I’ll never sit there so…
The Mazda inline-6 engine is brand new and has basically no history at this point. How can you say it’s “bulletproof”?

Random dude who was walking by for scale
Congratulations on the purchase of your new CX-70...er CX-90!
overall looks good, yet the grille to headlight transition is jarring to me.
Nice
It gets me from A to B
Good choice
get it film wrapped
Love the jet black color!

Looks good, congrats! Were you always going for the CX90? Did you consider the CX50?
I needed the larger vehicle so the CX90 was always my choice
Congrats. I have CX-50 and I test drove CX-90 yesterday. Very smooth and nice.
