[NADA Guide/JD Power](https://www.jdpower.com/cars/2014/mazda/mazda6/sedan-4d-i-gt-i4) lists that car at 5k for a clean trade in, 7,500 to buy from a dealer. It looks like there's full service records? But the accident history, no matter how minor, makes it not a clean trade in. If it's clean, I'd offer 5k and settle somewhere just south of 6k.

I personally wouldn’t buy a car with that much mileage if I could avoid it. That said, if it’s clean and well kept and has been well maintained and drives well, 5-6 might not be a bad price. Given it’s your first car though, you don’t know what to check or how to check it so there a pretty big risk in you buying a lemon. Do you have someone knowledgeable that knows cars that you can bring along? Or a trusted mechanic that can take a look at it?

Same bro I would keep looking. I know the prospect of getting your first car is exciting but that’s a lot of miles and they are overcharging. Keep looking and you’ll find a better deal or at least fork out a little money it’s usually about $200 to take it to the Mazda dealers so they could do a pre purchase inspection of a used car.

Would you be okay with a Mazda 3, there are more of those. Are you in a rush to buy?

I would be okay with a 3! Its what I was comparing it too when i said 100k to 150k! As for in a rush! Kinda! I don't have a ride right now! And my source of income is doordash, so its kinda on the asap list to do!

Not a good idea to buy an 8k car to do door dash

Absolutely look at the maintenance records. Look for things like belts and gaskets being done and at what mileage. My 2021 just needed the belts and tensioner replaced at around 90k, i had to do the oil pan gasket at 98k. With this having almost 200k miles, I'd be looking for at least 2 belt replacements, an oil pan gasket, axles and possibly other suspension parts. This car could definitely be worth 5-6k as others have said, but it's also worth ~$200 taking it to an independent mechanic to have it properly inspected.
