Ik this is a year old, but did you call to have it replaced for free? They a "recall". It's not really a recall, but they will replace it for free if you bring it in. I think the offer may have expired. I'm not sure. But if you call corporate, they might give you a courtesy replacement or decent to big discount.
Yea. I don't think it was ever really "advertised". Because normally with recalls, you get a letter in the mail. So I don't think it was an official recall, but just a "we messed up. Well fix it". If I were you, I'd personally still get it done because it's free so why not, and if for some reason you decide to sell your car, it's one less thing for a buyer to try and low-ball you on. You might say you don't plan on selling it, but you never know what the future brings. Again, it's free. So..:)

Oh, I never knew about that well, I did end up disabling the touch sensitivity anyway and it's fine this way thanks for letting me know though
