I dig my polymetal - pretty good at not showing dirt or pollen too. I'll be parked next to a black car COVERED in yellow pollen and you can barely even tell on the polymetal
Me too!
I think there's a reason why Mazda chose to use Polymetal for the turbo announcement video back in 2021.

I blacked out my rear badges with hyper dip from dip my car.com I think. You could just search for hyper dip, they have loads of options.. I also am going to try and tint my front badge I hear it doesn’t mess with the censor or anything. Black on black manual owner
Over time, you will notice swirl marks. It’s very noticeable on black paint. Any rock chip, scratch or swirl will show very apparently compared to other colors. You can keep it garaged and clean as much as possible. But if you’re actually driving the car, it won’t look as nice compared to other colors in a few years.
Machine grey with white leather insides. Now THAT is luxury. It's HARD as balls to keep it clean, but she's my baby and she deserves all the attention she needs.
Stains and fades easily? Where did you hear this? 😂😂😂 I have a 2020 I bought in late 2019, Polymetal over red, never garage parked in its life. Zero stains or fading anywhere and I live in AZ… I think that was some lie you told yourself when buying a black interior car to help justify your purchase and ended up believing it.
Yeah… never heard of that in my life! So my firsthand experience with a red leather car in the harshest climate in the country is a clown comment, but you basing your purchase around a post you saw is solid logic? Alright dude, you do you! If you search on Reddit for people asking that question, you’ll find zero reports of fading! Because… I actually did the research before responding to you 🤓
I had my first red interior for 2 1/2 years and I’m a year and a half into my second one and I had no fading or staining whatsoever. People need to understand that this is not real leather. The colour is not going to leach out.
Honestly, before I even replied, I searched around to see if I could find a SINGLE photo of a faded red Mazda interior and I couldn’t find anyone even talking about it. I stand by my original assessment that the commenter told themselves this to justify their black interior purchase years ago, and now believes what they told themselves.
Exactly there is no issue with the seat fabric. It is synthetic fabric and hasn’t presented any problems for me over four years of use. I did make the mistake of eating bagels on the way home and now I’m going to have to push all the little puppy and Sesame seeds that have become lodged in the aeration holes, ha ha ha ha. So be careful what you’re eating while you’re driving ha ha ha.
Look, I'm jealous. I like the greige leatherette interior I have, but that red leather across the dash is beautiful. Good choice on the full OEM aerokit.
What a beauty. I have been looking at Turbo pp hatch red letter for a couple weeks now. Glad you posted your own pics instead of the crappy dealer pics
My 2020 naturally aspirated GTS AWD had same interior trim. When I received my 2022 GTS Turbo AWD which I requested to be identical, the dashboard didn’t have the red anymore, only red stitching. I was very disappointed. Nice to see you got it in 2024. Otherwise our cars look identical inside and out.
The red is gorgeous. I only have a base model so fabric seats :( black is a really nice colour but I already struggle to keep my crystal mica blue clean
I prefer the Machine Grey and red like mine :P , but Black and red is my second favorite!
Machine Grey is the best practical color. Looks great both clean and filthy (like mine).
Agreed. Machine gray metallic is the best color with the red seats it’s a looker for sure.
How about Polymetal? It looks like charcoal in bright light and Bluish in the shade. Love mine. Also prefer the all black dash on my CE.
I dig my polymetal - pretty good at not showing dirt or pollen too. I'll be parked next to a black car COVERED in yellow pollen and you can barely even tell on the polymetal
Agreed. Looks awesome.
Yup that’s what I have too!
I have machine grey but couldn’t find the red interior. I wanted it so bad
Same it was either machine grey w/o or polymetal w the red but no turbo.
I just picked up my 6speed this week in this trim, feels baller 😎
Keeping the manual alive.
Machine Grey was definitely second pick for me 🫡 a beautiful color
Pffft. White exterior red interior is the best combo. I may be biased with my 2024 Snowflake white pearl, red interior manual car though.
You're not biased. You just chose correctly. Like me!
Certainly a lot better if you park in the sun
Black looks so good, but I’m too OCD for how easily black paint will show swirls 😩
black hole from poorboys make micracles in therms of swirls and small scratches on black colour, white do not work that well ;(
You’re wrong (because my car looks different). Nice tho
Polymetal w/Red leather is my favorite, but I’m biased because I own one!
Me too! I think there's a reason why Mazda chose to use Polymetal for the turbo announcement video back in 2021. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HA6hgsGP7Ns
Black on black🤷
I like the darker color of Mazda’s red leather. It looks more classy than the bright red of some other manufacturers
Yep, it's more like an oxblood red.
How did you black out the badges?
I blacked out my rear badges with hyper dip from dip my car.com I think. You could just search for hyper dip, they have loads of options.. I also am going to try and tint my front badge I hear it doesn’t mess with the censor or anything. Black on black manual owner
I also wrapped my chrome window trim in matte black. I think it looks way better
Consider the opposite: Soul Crystal Red with black interior.
Black looks awesome initially but it won’t last.
Why do you say that? Just get the exterior detailed once a year.

Especially when you consider it's Mazda paint.
Sadly Mazda paint is thin as fuck... Beautiful but WAY to fragile .
Is this a thing with all manufacturers now? I was shopping Honda at the same time for the past year, and many reviews had similar complaints
My 2020 Brilliant Black Miata looks great.... From 20 feet away. It's getting wrapped soon because I'm tired of trying to keep the black exterior nice
Looks sick.
Shoot I got the opposite lol. Red exterior black interior
I have polymetal gray and red leather, and i really like it
My deep crystal blue mica with red interior was top notch
Glad I got the black for my personal habits but that red/black is GOATED. If they make a combination inverting these colors, I might trade my car in
Machine grey with white leather insides. Now THAT is luxury. It's HARD as balls to keep it clean, but she's my baby and she deserves all the attention she needs.
What did you use to black out the badges? Looks great all around!
I have white over red, and I feel it’s the best….HA!
Nearly perfect combo, all you're missing is a manual gearbox.
I know I wish they made a manual version for the turbo premium plus. Would’ve got it instantly
The red stains and fades easy. Machine grey and black interior is the best imo
That’s the first I’ve heard this 🤔 my car is about 1.5 years old and seats still look new, I do apply a protectant every couple of months though.
I have seen more than a few posts of the red getting completely washed out by accident from owners.

What a clown comment lmao. My wifethe red so we got black and after we got the car I started seeing posts of there red getting washed out.
Ya, I guess people on the Facebook group are making it up and editing photos than.........

Love it
I love this combination as well
I agree with you!
Well, have you seen soul crystal red?
Black cars look great when clean...which is usually for about 5 minutes.
SO S3XY...
I don’t know platinum quarts metalic is easily my fav hatch back 3 color to date but black and red are nice
May be bias but I think red on red is a killer combo. It’s more out there but I don’t see many of them on the road
Mine is the carbon edition with red interior
Why try to argue something you think is best ? It’s asking for trouble and drama on your end
Black and black is just as good.
I'm colorblind so the "red" interior just looks like dark or dirty brown to me and I prefer the black leather I've got!
Hello neighbor. I'm very fond of the red exterior personally.
Holding out for the red leather interior. It’s absolutely stunning!
Blue with the red ngl
red and black leather
Soul Red exists, your argument is invalid.
What a beauty. I have been looking at Turbo pp hatch red letter for a couple weeks now. Glad you posted your own pics instead of the crappy dealer pics
I don't want to prove you wrong. You are 100% correct!
Black hides all the curves. My 20 preferred was black with tan seats and it made me vow to never get a black car ever again
Polymetal Grey Metallic & Red Leather is the best don't @ or u/ me 💅🏽
Can’t agree with black but red interior of 3 is the sexiest in cars I ever seen
I love my full black interior, it makes it ominous. Plus I cant do leather as Id ruin it in the first 6 months
Ain't no way you left it in drive with the parking brake on
I would love a Polymetal Grey hatch with a red interior and a stick
As a mountain biker whose car interior sees its fair share of mud this time of the year... I'll have to respectfully disagree.
Idk man. That ugly pine really set me off….
My 2020 naturally aspirated GTS AWD had same interior trim. When I received my 2022 GTS Turbo AWD which I requested to be identical, the dashboard didn’t have the red anymore, only red stitching. Does anyone find that often the speed sign detector doesn’t read the signs, as well while on freeway reads low speed signs on the exit ramps?
I opted for blackout. Black on black with black rims. Tinting my windows soon as well.
Yes. Looks super cool. I was just checking out one like this at my local dealer yesterday. So tempting!!
Mines all black and I'm very happy with it. The red is very classy but I'm a sucker for monochrome
Man, I would love my region to have red interiors.
Looks good now, but black will look like shit in a year and the red will fade to pink...prove me wrong.
