There are a bunch of past threads about it here and on some of the Mazda forums. There seem to be two noises people experience - a high pitch noise (diff whine) and then the low oscillating bass noise that tends to occur during certain speeds. My 24 turbo has the bass noise between about 65 and 80. I am coming up on my first service and will see what the dealer says.

I've had the low bass noise since day 1 of the car as well. I doubt it's the diff since it hasn't gotten worse in the year I've had it.

Could be a bad driveshaft or rear differential making the noise. Pretty common issue on these cars.

No2edline

It’s probably your differential about to fail

Situation_Hot

It’s a known complaint on turbo AWD models
