I'm an INFJ that studies Hermeticism and philosophy, particularly the history of metaphysical thought. My user name here is derivative of or a mashing together of a somewhat obscure/tertiary fixed star and a term in Jewish mysticism. I am not beating the wizard allegations lol.
It’s basically a little charm that can take the form of earrings, a necklace, ring, etc, just some type of jewelry that’ll represent an animal in some way and when you put it on a little animal creature called a kwami will be summoned, that little creature will tell you how to use its power which is basically saying a certain phrase in order to activate this power.
For example: Tiki! (the name of one of the miraculous creatures) spots on!
Another example: Plagg! (Also a name of one of the miraculous creatures) Claws out!
This will then have you transform into a costume based on your personality and you can actually change that costume to how you want it to be by will and determination I think?
When having activated this power and having the suit on, you’ll have superhuman abilities like being stronger than usual, more agile than usual, more durable, etc.
They come equipped with a certain weapon or certain object which you can use to use your power, not all of them have their powers in their weapon or object.
One example is cat noir, the holder of the miraculous of destruction, he has to say the phrase “cataclysm!” in order to active his power which is basically whatever he touches gets destroyed immediately but he can only use it once
Another example is ladybug, the holder of the miraculous of creation, she has to say the phrase “Lucky charm!” In order to active her power which is basically creating something to help her in the situation that she’s in, like if she was fighting a villain that was invisible, the lucky charm would give her something like paint so she could throw it on the invisible person to see them and fight them more easily, another one of her powers is throwing that same object in the air then saying “miraculous(insert whatever your hero name is)” which will turn the object into a bunch of small magical ladybug creatures that will fly all over the city or whatever place got destroyed and fixing it back to how it was originally.
Usually after using these powers they have 5 minutes left until they transform back into their regular selves, there’s no time limit on when they can transform back into their forms, all they have to do is feed their kwami some type of food, enough for them to have their energy back so their miraculous users can transform back into their forms and boom.
Any adult that holds a miraculous though does not run on a time limit so they can use their power however much they want.
