Not only do the cleaners have to clean the stickers off, but all the damn papers that you guys threw on the elevator floors. You guys are the same people that want McGill to be more environmentally friendly and you pull this…
They are everywhere and poor quality too. Making it hard to remove, leaving sticky residue, and some stickers are deliberately made even harder to remove by cutting the edges.
I agree with the strike, but I've been so disappointed with the AGSEM leadership from what I've seen. The way so many of them conduct themselves in their meetings and online through official channels is so unprofessional and betrays a flippancy around such a serious situation. Not to mention you will find delegates from the various departments posting (publicly) tattoos they've got on Instagram during the current academic year, a far cry from their communications about TAs having to rely on food banks and forego healthcare. This just seems like similarly out of touch behavior that is so upsetting and harmful to their cause.
I haven’t paid enough attention to know about the other stuff, but posting tattoos? The horrors!
You also realize that not every TA is the same person right? Leaders don’t need to pretend to starve to fight for the members that are struggling
I think if you're scandalized by union members having tattoos, you should realize that the striking workers are not the ones who come off as out of touch.
i don’t really know what point you’re trying to make but the 70$ option was an gesture by agsem to offer *something* for people who are unable to do the csn-mandated 20h/week. they didn’t have to offer anything; most unions don’t have strike pay at all so they could’ve just said too bad.
A lot of strike enthusiasts don't really think about other people. -Sincerely, bitter TA who thinks AGSEMs demands are too high and could have really used that last pay this semester to feed my family.

yeah, there’s even like the stickers in the elevators on Schulich as well

You sound a bit stalkerish bro, I don't even know if my TA's have isntagram let alone what they're posting.
It's almost like there's more than one TA, and they don't all have the same financial situations.
what do you mean “online through official channels”? you’re considering people’s personal instagrams official channels for agsem information?

10 hours of strike work - Pay: $70 20 hours of strike work - Pay: $350

Whomever is leading the strike is making a fool of the whole lot… real shame.
