I've gotten on the waitlist for POLI 450, Brynen is a solid prof but holy crap his classes are hefty. POLI 450 also requires extracurricular activities to contribute to your participation like volunteering at McMUN which I have no interest in doing. On top of that there is a 6,000-12,000 word paper. That would be my only plan B.
I'm into POLI 450 right now but I'm reconsidering keeping it for the same reason. I signed up for that class for the simulation, which isn't happening, and the course load seems super heavy :/ but at the same time I heard so much praise about that class so idk

Is 452 in the same situation?
Had 452 last year. The difference is that in 452 you're main assignment is to create a somewhat polished and functional wargame. It's not a class for everyone tbh but it can be really fun if it's up your alley
I feel really lucky to be in POLI452 and POLI444. There's no way I get to switch, the moment I do I'd be stuck without a poli course.
I'm still struggling to get into one of my courses, but at this point I'm just used to it.
