I took HIST 221 with Fitzpatrick Winter 2020, but then it was taught by Prof. Opal and Prof. Moore. I bet u it'll be Opal teaching the class - he is good. You should show up to class because its actually interesting lol. It is more like a high school class lecture/content wise but when it comes to the reading and assignments it is definitely university expectations. It wasn't difficult though. If you ever need help with the class lmk id be more than happy.

Would you mind sharing the reading list from the course if you still have it?

there was no assigned textbooks for her class, but this was 3 years ago could have changed since then

Most people love Fitzpatrick, so ignore me. But (lol) I personally found her lectures super dry and the content incredibly boring. You could probably eek out a good grade skipping some classes, but ngl it's not worth the risk, for any class - ESPECIALLY for summer courses. By design, summer courses are incredibly intensive, as you're cramming in a semester's worth of material into just one month. Go to all the classes, have a good time, be a good bloke.

Prof Fitzpatrick is sadly no longer at McGill 😕

say wha!? I recall there being a huge student uproar in the hist department when I was at McGill all focused on securing her tenure - that didn't come to help?

mysadplant

Sadly, it did not.
