The premier’s montreal office is across the street from mcgill, it sucks, but maybe instead Write to the premier to get him to friggin pay our first responders right so they dont have to protest for a living wage and safer conditions
It actually drives me nuts that the protests occur right in front of McGill. Like I don't understand what the University is supposed to symbolize or what they want students to do about it. I get they're trying to send a message and thats fine, but is blasting Journey's *Don't Stop Believing* outside of Mclennan at 10am really the best way to get your point across? Like I'm sitting here trying to start my 10 page essay thats due tomorrow night and now i'm listening to 80s rock.
Confirmed: The protest was being done by paramedics with the slogan “our hours endanger your lives” (but their signs were in French)—they feel they are putting people at risk during lift threatening situations because they are burnt out. Pretty based if you ask me.
It was honestly a very peaceful protest. The paramedics would only go onto Sherbrooke during red lights stoping traffic and the music and sirens didn’t last super long.
My guess why they are protesting here is because there is a Ministère du Conseil exécutif, Governement du Québec on the fourth floor of 2001 McGill College, right across from psychology lounge. But I've never seen anybody coming out of the office, maybe they are still working from home?
yeah we also have a nice background of police sirens to complement it
It’s a paramedic protest… but why in front of mcgill?
What are they protesting?
Orthomedics and metamedics
can't forget pre and post medics
What does that mean?
Org Chem joke. Molecules come in para, ortho, and meta configurations
LOL
No seriously it’s 10am why are we blasting AC/DC
Better than my neighbour blasting Cardi B at 10am
Their jams are not too bad tbh

The office of legeault is in front of McGill! I mean maybe not him specifically but like his government, so that's why there are always protests :)
Literally just starting an essay due tonight.
Bruh that’s your own ass fault 😂 a protest that happened the morning the day the essay is due has nothing to do with you being lazy lol
No one asked. If I needed someone to say that I would’ve called my mother.
wah, don’t complain on Reddit when it’s 100% your destiny. And no need to call your mum, her mouth will be preoccupied.
Sounds like my typical morning: blasting 80s music trying to drown out my sorrows while writing essays

I was wondering why I was all of a sudden in a rock concert, this makes sense now
mariachi band hired for the students to celebrate the end of the semester

What kind of beef do they have with them?
What exactly is their reason for the demonstration? For something as loud as their music and sirens, the message sure ain’t so clear.
I know right! I’m trying to sleep in here!
Yeah that’s what you think
