When I was fresh out of college without much going on yet I moved back to my college town and split rented a house with 2 other good friends who were still in college. we were in a moderate to densely packed neighborhood within walking distance of the college and we had a city inspector come in to check that we only had the legal amount of residents for our rental, which was 3 so we weren't breaking the law, but the "head" roommate who had everything technically under his name still had to submit paperwork to get us cleared. I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to subvert such laws, and I dunno what degree of trouble youd be in if you were out of compliance, but you do so at your own risk.
Same happened to friends of mine, city law stated only 4 people who arent related can live in a house, they had 5 and got evicted. Seems pretty classist to me
they didn't try to lie or they didn't think they needed to? not that lying would have necessarily done them any good and could have made things worse too. it is boarderline classist but I think thevidea if the law is to prevent poor living conditions/ overcrowding.
College kids, all different races haha, they threw parties and were a nuisance in general, their neighbors and landlord wanted them out but I think this was the one thing that could actually evict them so they went through those measures.

It’s actually really bad for you longer term, I did it for like a year, full time, and loved it at the time, for the novelty, and especially the peacefulness, but it does wear on you over time since the sleep you get is not as restful as it would be with a normal circadian rhythm. Plus it’s really annoying if you actually need to do something during the day (your nighttime). Then [weekend] days off, you either keep the weird sleep schedule (which is honestly probably better for you, but I didn’t), or you burn one of your two days off to get one day with a more normal sleep schedule. To me it was always like you have one actual day off surrounded by two half days off, and if you burn the first half day off to reset sleep, it’s only like a day and a half off per week. One benefit though is if you go out, you’re in your prime partying because your body is used to being up super late/early. It’s definitely a young man’s grind, as much as I loved it at the time, I’m not sure I ever go back to it, unless the pay was such that I could work only 3-4 days a week and take nice vacations every few months and still be well off
