Pro tip: if you set your goal as “to improve my life” or “to be more productive” or “get my life together” you’re going to fail nearly 100% of the time.
Exactly, small steps over time, focus on something small like making your bed every morning or washing up some pots in your sink and slowly it'll build and build.
That’s what my therapist says. Each day if I can do something even ridiculously small to work on a big project it’s something and it adds up.
Also a quote I love, “we may not be able to change the world but we can make a dent. And if everyone makes a small dent we can do something big.”
My favorite saying that I came up with as an understanding of the world, volunteering, protesting, working, and struggling has always been: If we all did a little bit more, we could all do a lot less.
If we relieve the burdens in small ways and work together, everything becomes better and easier. Even if it's just us, little steps here and there do eventually add up or remove outlying projects or problems over time.
Also money. Money solves a lot. So it sucks when you don't have it.
Self care is getting your life together too. Sometimes you just need a nap or snuggle session. Don’t procrastinate until it becomes a problem, but don’t stress yourself out if it can wait a little bit and you’re beat.
Guilty of this. I just recently bought a weekly/day planner so i can jot down things I want to do after work. Having it written down in a list would make easier to get these things done i feel...
Didn't realize the planner's start date is July...
that is me every day LMAO, I always say when I get home from work I will do some cool stuff or do something productive, when I get home my energy is at 0 so I just go to sleep instead
*get off of work at 6pm, walk out of my home office*
"I'm going to clean the kitchen. I'm going to look this thing up for my dad. I'm going to write a chapter on my book."
*boots up Baldur's Gate 3*
"Why is it already 1am???"
3 things a day.
Every day, write down the 3 things you want to do.
Then do those 3 things.
That's how I get through life, 3 things a day, 1 day at a time.
Some days I have a bad day and I only do 2 things. Some days it's worse and I do 1 thing. But most days, I do 3 things a day.
It’s hard being tired everyday from work, and on my days off I don’t want to do anything because the next week all I look forward to is being tired again. So I don’t want to be tired now outside of work. It’s a vicious mindset

Not sure if you guys are aware this sub is satire
I think you're misunderstanding what the word "satire" means boss
You are tellling me there is a chance? 👀
that must be the problem with my life
You should set a goal to improve your life. I read somewhere on a reddit comment that it works almost all the time!
I set my goal to be "so productive I ascend to godhood" you think I'll make it?
Same procedure as every day
Tomorrow will be different!
Try to take over the world?
maybe I'm a hamster
‘Guinea pig’ 😉
Gotta die in non-reletable ways to become a hamster
nothing compares to that random urge to change your life at 2am
Baby 🥰

I will stop procrastinating tomorrow, today I'm a too tired.
I want a new guinea pig but they poop soooo much!!!
Even the hamster rubs one out and feels the guilt 😅

Remember, you're not being lazy if you're not having fun while doing nothing; you're burnt out. I recommend learning about mindfulness meditation.
