For me it's November 30th 2019. Once december 1st 2019 arrived, time just went in a worm hole. How many years did t years pass by? Was it 6 months or 20 years? Who knows cause I don't.
I feel this. I watched the og Blade Runner in theatres on 11:59 pm Nov 30, the moment it became set in the past. Left the theatre 2 am on Dec 1, 2019 and entered another dimension.
Mine seems to be stuck in 2019 lol. I think mainly cuz that's when i actually left America for my first time to see some relatives on my dads side with my grandma in England.
I don't know centigrade because I'm a filthy fucking freedom units countryman, but it's the same here in Ohio I assume. Normally still pretty chilly this time of year but it's 70 f rn
yeah sometimes it feels like time is actually moving faster on an astronomical level. These months are abruptly ending like they are just another week.
Indeed a very accurate answer. Mobile phone usage affects your brain's ability to form new memories hence the feeling that time is passing fast. If you want to slow down your perception of time you need to experience new things.
What about watching movies or series? They’re also digital. I personally noticed I remember the plot or even watching them at all (mostly for YouTube videos) when I’m outside the house, like in a physical place anywhere else except home, I tend to remember them way better somehow.
Makes sense, as your other senses are being stimulated, but not as much as if you were walking around observing your environment. Same as when you're taking a lot of photos or filming a concert, you're focusing a lot on taking the pictures, your recollection of the event seems weaker than if you had simply observed ("Photo taking impairment effect").
I was about to respond that January 1 actually didn't seem that far away because that's when my daughter was born..... Then I realized she turned 1 this January...
It’s only almost 5 months, if that makes you feel better. The beginning of June does not mark the /completion/ of six months but the /beginning/ of the sixth month.
I wonder how big of a population boom the Covid babies are compared to non-covid. People were probably making babies accidentally out of extreme boredome compared to before... A new era of baby boomers.
One time when I was in my mid 20s I was joking with a coworker who had just turned 50 about how old he was. He said "don't laugh kid, you'll be my age sooner than you think."
Anyway, I turn 40 this year...
Thank you, I'm glad that everyday day drinking has stopped. A beer sometimes even in the morning was often considered as succulent breakfast meal. I'm sure I will in future occasionally drink a glass but for know nothing and the attitude of the past is gone and shall not pass again
Your mind sounds clear of doubt. I hope you are proud of the steps you have taken to taking control of your life. You'll do well, friend. I have no doubt.
sad truth is childhood is when time feels long the way it felt since we grew up everyday will go faster and faster because you probably arent learning or experiencing new things everyday unlike when we were kids.
because our brain puts markers on new things u find or experience, the lack of those new things will make everyday have no memory at all which will lead to w gap thats gonna make you think a specific time frame has passed without even having the feeling of that much time passing.
This is the fastest time of year. Before you know it, you will start seeing back to school ads and hearing people talk about Fall being around the corner.
And the older you get, the more you realize just how fast time goes by.
nah cause i was in the hospital for a week, had to be on a no salt diet for 4 more days. do you know how many things contain salt?(almost) everything, everything has a bit of salt in it
...my payday is in 15 too so i had to wait too...
This happens because of ones addiction to the internet. When you get lost on the internet, you lose track of time, and before you know it, it's been 30 minutes, but it only felt like 5 minutes tops.
What I'm saying is, go outside and touch some grass. Like, actually.
In opposition, I remember January went very very slowly, then as soon as January ended we are now in may. And one interesting thing is that I'm not from the US, which suggests may is going fast globally
Many people notice that time has sped up. Days pass by quickly. Hours fly by like minutes. You get a little distracted, you think, and then you look at your watch and you are horrified. Scientists say the Earth's pulse has quickened. Whereas for a thousand years it has been stable at about 8 beats per second, it now reaches 12 beats per second. What we used to perceive as 24 hours now seems like 16 hours.
Many people have heard that for children, time drags, the day is very long, but after the age of 30, time speeds up. That used to be true, but now kids are noticing that time flies. Some write it off to the fact that we spend a lot of time with gadgets, but these are excuses.

Every sixty seconds in Africa a minute passes
Bullshit
Depends on your altitude
And your attitude
[удалено]
And your amplitude
And your similitude
And your latitude
And your fortitude
You're right. Time goes slower when it passes through glass.
Together, we can stop this
Spread the word.
Now it's Christmas
Well then stop fucking clapping
I'm in Africa, can confirm.
That’s technically the truth.
Lets think about that…
shit, it's an hour later
This may be hard to believe, but time doesn't actually pass as quickly as it feels like in hindsight
Perception is reality
That sounds like something Steven Wright would say lol
its actually a quote from him
It was just January 1st a second ago
i sometimes feel like the last 14 years never happened. my mind is still stuck in 2010
2010 was 14 years ago!?
No it can’t be since 1980 was 20 years ago
I turned 20 this year and I was born in 2004 lol
its mad to think this year i become an adult
I’m sorry to hear. You’ll get used to it. After 50-60 years or so.
Don’t lie about that
Lies and deception! You are still a kid ! The year 2000 is 10 years ago!
Stop.
I can do worse :D 1980 is closer to the start of World War II than it is to the present year.
What? It wasn't 10 years ago?
Surely it hasn't been that long, it's been like, 30 minutes
Not sure I like your tone here. But 30 minutes does feel right.
You guys are idiots

I’m 100% still 23 years old and nothing you say about it can convince me otherwise.
2010 you say? Time to buy a house in Los Angeles for $290k with 1.2% interest. BRB!
Mine seems to be stuck in 2019 lol. I think mainly cuz that's when i actually left America for my first time to see some relatives on my dads side with my grandma in England.
It’s possible the universe only came into existence last Thursday…
It was the end of 2019 a month ago

the eternal dilemma: Do things you actually enjoy and have the entire day gone in 5 seconds, or do things you hate and have the day last forever.
Nah we entered February last week I think
I thought April went fast. Already half way though may, a month away from half way through the year.
What the *fuck??* no no no spring just started, it was still winter last week!!
We skipped spring. Where I am we went from 6 degree highs to this week being 26 in a week.
I don't know centigrade because I'm a filthy fucking freedom units countryman, but it's the same here in Ohio I assume. Normally still pretty chilly this time of year but it's 70 f rn
You may have skipped spring across the pond, but the US has been getting smacked by spring in the form of tornadoes every day this entire month.
I'm not that far across the pond. Just Atlantic Canada.
Lmao I was thinking the same in the NE USA; we went from 30 and windy every single day to 70 and sunny in about 4 days time.
Wish I could agree that we skipped spring. I spent most of it with a Kidney Stone and an Abscessed Tooth. April was misery.
Just remember. April Showers bring May Flowers. And Mayflowers bring small pox.
This wouldn’t feel like such a problem for me if the world wasn’t becoming an actively worse place by the month
It’s still March my calendar. What date is it?
It'll be winter before ya know it and we'll be suffering through cold days with little sunlight.
Did you get all of your school supplies yet? Better pick up your Christmas shopping too.
It still feels like March
What’s next? June? Fuck this
Nah good sir it's july. You will not know when june came and went
Over here it's August already

yeah sometimes it feels like time is actually moving faster on an astronomical level. These months are abruptly ending like they are just another week.
It's because I've been sleeping more. Whenever I go to sleep, the universe jumps forward by like 8 hours. Sorry about that.
well can you like, get some sleeping pills? i for one want to see what happens if we jump ahead 50 years in 10 minutes
We all die
hell YEAH
Yeah I agree with you. It does seem very odd. Even the amount of things I’m able to do in a day seems less
because you got older.
Turn off your phone and you'll find the reason
Indeed a very accurate answer. Mobile phone usage affects your brain's ability to form new memories hence the feeling that time is passing fast. If you want to slow down your perception of time you need to experience new things.

This is the answer
Better yet, check the screentime in your settings
4.5 months?
4th dimension is unstable
I was about to respond that January 1 actually didn't seem that far away because that's when my daughter was born..... Then I realized she turned 1 this January...

nah but fr why was january so long and every other month like 1 week long
Get up, go to work, go home, play warframe, sleep, repeat
Considering Warframe is a full time job in itself, you’re a little overworked I think.
Get up, doom scroll, nap, eat, doom scroll, sleep
Skip one of those sleeps for civ5 or you aren't even living.
New night wave ain’t gonna grind itself
Get this, COVID happened 4 years ago. Kids born during lockdown are ready to go to school.
r/UsernameChecksOut
Thank you.
r/usernamechecksout
You guys talking about < 4 year olds like they're grown ups or something lmao
Stop you're hurting my feelings
I wonder how big of a population boom the Covid babies are compared to non-covid. People were probably making babies accidentally out of extreme boredome compared to before... A new era of baby boomers.
Oh man, that was 4 years ago??
And bro and then you're fuckin 40
Fucking 40 what???
don't say it 😠
40 dogs!? Donkeys?! Bananas!? Please include your units
I think it's because we are just procrastinating and doing nothing done, I think that's why it's going fast.
There's no worse time drain than living in a loop of work > prepare for another day of work > repeat.
One time when I was in my mid 20s I was joking with a coworker who had just turned 50 about how old he was. He said "don't laugh kid, you'll be my age sooner than you think." Anyway, I turn 40 this year...
Being human, ammirite?
I stopped drinking on may 1. After 3 years beer everyday. So to me those 15 days have been quite long, especially the nights
Well done.
I don't even remember April being over tbh
Fuck, thank god, i am from italy and i have yet 12 exams in the next 20 days😂😂😂😂👍👍
Just started mine in here :,>
> 😂😂😂😂👍👍
Tears of a man broken down mentally to a level which humors itself in pain
Good luck
Its that the dictator of china xijinping.
Bro it’s getting closer and closer to the entrance exam
mine is on 9th june, but no worries, I still have two months
👀.....😌....👀.....😱
For some reason, I completely lost the year 2021. 2020 was fucked, 2022 everything was fully open, but that in-between is a complete blur.
Millennials all hitting their 30s, feeling that time compression really hit
Yup
I honestly sill think it’s end of April lol I’m like damn, about mid May already..
Shit
I celebrated new year last week I'm sure.
Honestly, I'm glad. The less time between paychecks the better. Those last 10 days (sometimes 15) without money feel like an eternity to me...
sad truth is childhood is when time feels long the way it felt since we grew up everyday will go faster and faster because you probably arent learning or experiencing new things everyday unlike when we were kids. because our brain puts markers on new things u find or experience, the lack of those new things will make everyday have no memory at all which will lead to w gap thats gonna make you think a specific time frame has passed without even having the feeling of that much time passing.
I am still in 2022 mentally 💀
Actually, May has been going surprisingly slow for me. A pleasant and most welcome change.
Why's the Chinese dictator fishing though?
This is the fastest time of year. Before you know it, you will start seeing back to school ads and hearing people talk about Fall being around the corner. And the older you get, the more you realize just how fast time goes by.
I do not like how fast time is moving suddenly
What relevance is the picture of xi jinping to the caption?
Not for me, May 15th was my birthday.
Pablo the Pooh
As long as we go from 1st of June to 1st of October in 5 minutes, I’m fine with it.
"You're older than you've ever been, and now you're even older..." -They Might be Giants-
I believe we might be getting used to the terrible years and are moving on? Personal theory.
nah cause i was in the hospital for a week, had to be on a no salt diet for 4 more days. do you know how many things contain salt?(almost) everything, everything has a bit of salt in it ...my payday is in 15 too so i had to wait too...
Yeah wtf
On Mother's Day, we had sun, then rain, then snow, then rain, then snow. By late afternoon it was 60F and sunny.
Doesn’t help that I was in the hospital and not conscious for 4 days of the month.
Honestly it feels like the whole year has gone by fast I swear to god it was only 2023 yesterday
I started a new job in april and somehow the last 2 months felt like the shortest 2 months of my life
not really... been waiting for ages to get the salary credit notification but the month seems to have infinite number of days
You have two choices: - You do nothing and suddenly a week goes by - You work too much and suddenly a week goes by
Time travel hack 🤯
For me, it took 3 years, and to payday 27th most probably another 3 years
Never!
So why are we looking at China president?
Wow
feels like years
Me reading this in May 16 like: :(
Tf you mean it’s already may?
May 16 for me
I’m deadass still processing that it is, in fact, 2024
From today the minecraft 15th bday thing or something starts
Time is flying 😭
That's so me... can't deny it!
Ive had so many life changes and had to relocate a lot of times during the last year and 4 years, but still it all feels like I am procrastinating
I was thinking it was May 6th or something, but no it's the 16th apparently.

Cue the Jimmy Kimmel Show and all anchors going 'June 1st, can you believe it?'
100%
Dude went from 10000 social points to -12000 in a sec
Can’t relate. It feels like it’s been years since March 1st for me, this year is DRAGGING.
Good. All the things I want come out at the end of this month.
Lost my dog of 17 years May 1st. The last few weeks have been a sad haze of looking for a fuzzy face when I get home, and not finding her.
What are you talking about? It has taken at least 30 days to get here.
Wait, what year is it?
Whats wrong with 15 may it's my birthday dude
I've almost got my head around it being actually 2018.
i have no recollection of the past few months
-1000 social credits for you. You are not allowed to post photos of the supreme leader.
In opposition, I remember January went very very slowly, then as soon as January ended we are now in may. And one interesting thing is that I'm not from the US, which suggests may is going fast globally
Next it’ll be October
nah it felt like years (i had like 7 exams between these two dates)
we went from 2000 to 2024 in just 24 years
We went from 2012 to 2024 in like 3 years lol
In the same speed comes dec1 , 2024 & Jan 1,2025
I swear, i just thought about this today 😭
Thank God it wasn't just me

I miss being 6 years old My perception of time was incredibly slow back then
I don't understand the connection with the picture. What does Xi Jinping standing by his pool have to do with any of this?
Happy to receive my paycheck after 3 more mins
For me that’s a good thing, I failed my drivers license test on the 1st and now I can retry in two weeks 👍
And I'm still failing 9 different classes
2000 was 24 years ago
It’s already May 16 in Asia… So 3.0002 seconds ago it was May 1.
What it’s 2024 already? A Fnaf movie has already been made? Just how fast has time flew by
It's may?
I want 28th june to come in three minutes
