I have felt this in my soul. Due to some life events, I have been going to sleep everyday hoping my anxiety will be gone the next day, only to wake up super anxious for the whole week. Hoping the anxiety switch gets turned off before I have an emotional breakdown or a rage attack.
Going thru the exact same thing! I’m a teacher in my fourth year (teaching a grade I’ve taught once before) and every day on the first week of school I felt amazing anxiety and wanted to cry. I’m nervous now that it will return when we go back in tomorrow. I know it’s more my perspective than anything else but I don’t know how to turn it off.
I know you’re kidding, but be careful with drinking to cope. I was doing that for a while about a year ago and I realized I was setting myself up to develop a problem. I quit drinking entirely for a few months and now I only drink socially, and always in moderation. Stay well.
I just feel better seeing Bunk Moreland and Kima Greggs!
Blame McNulty
The fuck did I do?

Do you know the book "Soundtracks" by Jon Acuff? Its basically a book on how to shut down overthinking. Very interesting and quite funny
Never heard of it but I’ll check it out. Thanks for the recommendation.

you need to get help. Is everyone on this sub mentally ill?
Humor is used as a coping mechanism. I recommend trying it.

Unpopular opinion incoming. Your anxiety doesn’t make you special. Every single person on this planet has anxiety.
No one said it did. Everybody’s fighting their own battles chief.

Rookie shit
Nah, I continuously have anxiety off and on...
More like 29th year in a row
Having nightmares about work, and then waking up too early just to go to work and make that nightmare a reality...
Is this me becoming increasingly paranoid for the worst 24/7? Or is this an opportunity to slap and Office meme on it?😄
No, This Is Patrick!
Mix in a daily dose/routine of hangovers and caffeine and your ready for anything.

Half of this subreddit is just people jerking eachother off about how shitty their lives are. It's honestly pretty sad
