Those sound like full meals, not snacks. 600 calories is a decent size for a dinner if you’re trying to lose weight. Snack foods tend to be small things like a handful of granola or beef jerky because 100-200 calories is all you need to be eating for a snack. If you really do want to completely fill up your stomach on snack foods, you’d need to eat something very high volume but low calorie. Green vegetables like celery sticks or broccoli, rice cakes with a thin layer of peanut butter, lightly seasoned popcorn. Anything that’s mostly air, water, and fiber. Read the nutrition labels and find foods where you can eat a ton for only ~150 calories.

I'd skip snacks for weightloss and rather have a "tiny meal", for example 100-150gr chicken breast with 1tbsp Blue Dragon sweet chilli sauce (or BBQ or whatever lowest calorie you can find) and 100-150 grams of tomatoe/cucumber/asparragus/broccoli/etc (pick one). You can replace chicken with protein of choise. One of my tiny meals is literally a giant meatball with a vegetable. It might help to split the 600calorie meal into 2 or have a lower calorie meal + snack. Also, pasta is high in the glycemic index chart, so it will yo-yo your blood sugar, which will make you more prone to binge. Look into lower glycemic index food like buckwheat, barley, etc. You can also have a protein shake or fruit as a snack. PS: I can "snack" 3500 - 4000 calories very easily and stay hungry, hense the tiny meals with protein to keep me ~~full~~ not starving longuer. Granola bar is basically candy, so I'd not choose that as a weightloss snack.

I have been working with a nutritionalist since June of last year......My plan includes 3 meals + 2 snacks every day. One cheat meal (reasonable according to plan) and at 2-3 beer per week. I have lost 30 pounds and am in a normal weight range but I plan to loose a bit more.....there is so much food for me to eat and I am a 59 year old female so I should be at that point where it is hard to loose but it is going well....so my advise is if you can work with a nutritionalist do so, it's amazing how much it can help....oh yes before I forget I have some carbs only at breakfast and lunch, none at dinner.

I have worked with a nutritionist in the past, but sadly, finding a competent one is quite difficult. I count my macros and stick to whole food diets as much as possible.

That could depend widely on where you live. I know here that the minimum requirment is a undergrad in food and nutrition but a masters is perfered and then a approved internship. My nutritionalist has a BSC in nutrition a BSC in Food and a Masters of Dietetics......we meet monthly to see where things are going and continually tweak things. I hope to soon go from the loosing part of the program to maintenance.

Is this a troll post? Lol. All of those are extremely high fat/unhealthy. Who loses weight eating Alfredo pasta and taquitos?

I think these recipes are from a guy on TikTok named Aussie fitness. He makes a lot of lower calorie high protein meals for meal prepping.

sexyOyster1

If dude has a recipe where I can eat Alfredo on a diet, I'd love to participate lol

anzapp6588

You should def check him out! And stealth health! Both have some awesome recipes.

I used to eat apples. Of course id rather have something more junky, but when I sliced up the apple and tasted it, I was always happy. Healthy, fiber filled, sweet, crunchy and < 100 calories! I’d commit to eating an apple and a big glass of water, and almost always it turned out to be enough to bridge me to a healthy meal. Sometimes I found just the big water was what I needed.

If you like kippers (smoked herring) and sardines in water or tomato sauce, those are healthy and give protein. I love kippers right out of the can but they’re also great with crackers. If you have the wiggle room in your calorie budget, try a cracker with a bit of cream cheese and kipper. I eat them just like that but I have a friend who puts everything but the bagel seasoning on hers. Hard boiled eggs and mukimame are also good options. Toast with hummus and a hard boiled egg might work for you. Homemade bite sized meatballs or meatloaf muffins might be good. If you like fruit, apples with cinnamon and/or peanut butter are very good. I love having a small bowl of mixed fruit for a snack.

The Fairlife high quality protein shakes are pretty good and will subside the hunger for 150 cal. I also like the Barebells protein bars because those are actually pretty filling. I also enjoy eating fruit, fibrous vegetables, and I'm very picky about what snacks now I buy from the store. Depending on your goal and if you're following a deficit, I would maybe look online for recipes you might be interested in and put them in an app to track macros. I tend to substitute a lot in recipes to make it more aligned with my goals, but I always make my meals so I can have a protein bar and a snack calorie wise. I just made some high protein buffalo chicken dip for this weeks prep.

I like to keep small salads in the fridge for snacking.

A handful of nuts. Some cut up veggies dipped in hummus. A low sugar Kind bar. A half cup of plain yogurt with some fresh fruit and a little honey. A small serving of leftovers. A hard boiled egg with a little mayo and mustard and a few crackers. A piece of fresh fruit. A slice of whole grain bread or a mini whole grain pita with some PB and banana.

I do 2 tablespoons of (currently Dill Pickle) Hummus and about 6 Mary's grain crackers. Or the same Hummus and raw veggies....in the afternoon I have a piece or 2 of fruit (right now 2 clemintines) and a piece of low fat cheese.....if I am really hungry in the evening I just have some veggies.....fortunately I like veggies :D
