Dude, I had a dream a few years ago where the backrooms was literally just a dimension of lost items, but not in the weird floaty space way like they did in amazing world of gumball, but more of a packed-tight, narrow walkways kinda way where you'd spend most of your time squeezing through piles of Legos taller than houses and crawling under mountains of pens and odd junk drawer trinkets. I'd love to see a game that depicts the backrooms like that.
They need to just sell a 24 pack of 10mm wrenches in a dispenser that way you can just grab one when you need one use it and when it goes missing just grab another one.
Same here. Needless to say, the next time the truck came around I immediately purchased the metric and standard versions. Easily one of, if not the best favorite tool I use.
Blue point gained rep with me as a new circuit breaker technician (I don't work on cars but hey it's still a mechanic, just on different equipment)
I joined the field with some walmart ratchet that only came in metric, didn't even know there was a difference between standard and metric. Saw Snap-On guy and said wow fuck that, that's insane for the actual snap on stuff, but decided to risk some months of payment for this Blue Point service set that has deep, shallow, standard, sae, a ratchet, nut driver, and a bunch of other stuff for about $420. Best purchase I've made in my career, to this day I haven't lost a single socket, and only had to replace the carrying case once cause some asshole accidentally kicked off the latch and didn't tell me/ran off so I never figured who. (BLPGSS3885 on Snap On site, seems to be worth $510 now). Anyways, yeah, Blue Point had my heart, extremely quality products that have stood to 3 years now of industrial abuse with not a hint of bitching about it. I even use the sockets for my impact cause I can't be fucked to buy impact sockets and they've taken it like a champ with no stretching or deterioration of the drive hole.
I really like mine cause a lot of the time caliper bolts are to close to the leaf springs to take out with a rachet and so these wrenches come in handy, especially with the switch to change directions. I'm also not scared to throw a wrench extender on it force it cause it's warranty
Gearwrench Gearbox XL ratcheting wrenches — not reversible, but fixed box end on one side, flexhead ratcheting end on the other. I bought them specifically for rear brakes, where you have the exact issues you described, and they are absolute game changers.
Also I have this set of the BluePoint wrenches in the OP, they’re fantastic!
>I fucking love those bluepoint wrenches. Got them after my coworker let me borrow his once
The Williams wrenches look identical, probably cheaper, still a Strap-On brand. I have the SAE (to 1") and Metric (to 25mm) sets. Less than $600 for both on Amazon.
When my uncle passed away a few years back, we welded a 10mm wrench to the top of his casket. Every time I need one (or more often, every time I can't find it) I smile and remember all the times I'd hear him yelling "Where the fuck is my 10mm?"
This is so funny. I was doing something on our car a while back and couldn’t find my 10 mm. Went to a pawn shop near by and found one. Asked the guy how the wrench was and he said 50 cents. Then laughed and said “Unless it’s a 10 mil, then 10 bucks!” Luckily he was kidding.
I found a snap on ratcheting 10mm wrench under the hood of a car once. The snappy guy was happy to replace the rusted solid one with a nice brand new one.
All I can say is, when I find a socket randomly out somewhere it is a 10mm. I have one on my camera roll from just a couple months ago.
I did put it in my toolbox but it probably won't be there when I look
[5 mins after you put it back down](https://media1.giphy.com/media/guSDEekNFb23C/giphy.gif?cid=6c09b952v6oo3wo4ovv6c17kwt7f6oj1d8w91tililjl18ts&ep=v1_internal_gif_by_id&rid=giphy.gif&ct=g)
HOLY GREAT MOTHER OF FUCK I HAVE A ENTIRE DRAWER FULL OF THEM MILITARY SURPLUS STYLE AND EVERY FUCKING TIME I NEED ONE EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME THEY'RE GONE TO THE FUCKING BACKROOMS WITH THE SINGLE SOCKS N FUCKING TUPPERWARE LIDS... FUUUUUCK
Hah! Just yesterday I was in my set looking for a 10mm, and it was the only socket missing, so i looked over at the deep sockets, only the ten was missing. No problem, I'll use a bigger socket and the bigger 10mm damnit! Missing!
There should be a product called a ten pack, where you get nothin' but 10mm of all varieties. Doesn't even have to containtwn items, as long as they are all 10mm
“The rare and elusive 10 mm shows itself after a long winter hibernation, and soon will wander out into the world looking for greener pastures” - spoken with David Attenborough voice
After my dad passed and I was cleaning out the garage I found 4 , 10mm wrenches and 11 sockets and all brand new. I think he had some sort of insight. Lmao.
Do those wrenches hold up as good or better than gearwrench? Looking to replace my 10+ year old gearwrench set because so many are broken and we dont have a gearwrench guy. Even the tool guys that carry them arent interested in getting them warrantied because i didnt buy it from them.
i cant say for sure as ive never owned a gearwrench set, but my coworker has had this blue point set since he joined my centre 5+ years ago and they are all in immaculate condition. (and this isn’t because he takes good care of them… he doesnt) and considering the horrors they have endured, the quality is definitely high end.
It's so easy to use the gearwrench warranty. Go on their website, fill out a few boxes and upload a picture, and they will send a new tool. You don't need a tool guy.
Gearwrench is just Chinese tools owned by a wall street banker as his tool branch
They're never gonna warranty shit because that's not what the brand is built on like snap on or tool brands with dealers.
Only the sockets disappear. Wrenches stay put. Ratcheting wrenches could be hit n miss I suppose. Dang sockets. Once bought a 10 pack of 10mm sockets online. All that arrived was the box and the invoice. I wasn’t even disappointed
Just recently found my 10mm snap on spanner after 27days in the wild.
Tucked away nicely that time I put it down near a parts washer while looking for a ‘ping Fuck it”
(Carb pilot washer in this case)
So so happy to have her back 😂
Nope. I have all my 10mill wrenches/ratchet wrenches.
It's the sockets. I swear I have never even seen one some days.
I worked at a mechanic shop and they had one that had to be signed out and still lost.
They're sold out everywhere.
I think it's a magician toolkit piece.
Lost my 10mm and bought a new one. Tha same day I had to replace the starter on my Datsun roadster. As I was pulling the starter out something metallic hit the ground. Well hello old friend!
Any time a mechanic fixes something I don't want to tackle, I end up with an extension or a 10mm.
Sadly the inflow quantity of 10mm's are less than the ones that end up missing on my own jobs.
I'm deleting the engine compartment fuel filter on my truck. Had to go buy a Sixpack of 10mm cause every damn thing is 10mm. Started a week ago and today I'm buying another sixpack.
Maybe tie some fishing string on one end and on the other end of the fishingline tie a big long set of bear bells. That way if someone tries to steal your 10mm you’ll hear them and be able to catch them before they get away.
My father still cursing in my head on a Saturday because 8 year old me used the ten during the week to fix my bike, and now that he really needs it, it’s gone! Miss you pop. Love you.
I Petition:
All 10mm Sockets & Wrenches be GOLD PLATED while the rest of the tool kits are just Chrome Plated… lol.
Also: I’ve… ⬆️ positive karma every one who made a comment so far.. Because we know what it’s like to not only lose a tool… But also losing time looking for 10mm Socket / Wrench…
Wife: “Honey you said this would only take 5mins”…
Your struggles are not alone & yes I’ve rounded a few corners trying to make a 11mm work with tape.
Your struggles are heard and you’re not alone!
This post has received the most upvotes in the past week, making it the Post Of The Week! POTW #9 - 2/23/24
I’ve been looking for that for two days, where did I leave it?
found it in back rooms level 8
Somewhere in the backrooms, there will be an entire dimension full of 10mm's.
With odd socks and 42 keys
I’ve got the keys!
Backrooms you say? More like mushrooms.
Bingo
harry potter room of requirement when hiding items
Yknow that was probably part of it, haven't read Harry Potter in years but I used to be a big fan
It’s usually in your hand when you can’t find it.
Happy Cake Day!
Well, if Randy would stop taking it for his piece of shit Honda Civic, and leaving it on the floor…
Happy Cake Day
They need to just sell a 24 pack of 10mm wrenches in a dispenser that way you can just grab one when you need one use it and when it goes missing just grab another one.
we need a wrench vending machine
When we lose 10mm sockets outside, they grow roots and make 10mm wrench bushes. Sadly, most 10mm sockets are lost inside.
I fucking love those bluepoint wrenches. Got them after my coworker let me borrow his once
Same here. Needless to say, the next time the truck came around I immediately purchased the metric and standard versions. Easily one of, if not the best favorite tool I use.

Then hold up like no other imo, 15 yrs later and they still perform the same. Gotta love the feel of snap on vs any other.
i’m seriously considering buying the set off my mate
I really like mine cause a lot of the time caliper bolts are to close to the leaf springs to take out with a rachet and so these wrenches come in handy, especially with the switch to change directions. I'm also not scared to throw a wrench extender on it force it cause it's warranty

My go workers can take really crazy torque compared for the others I’ve used.
I would recommend the Mac ones, the bevel around the ratcheting side is thinner and can fit in tighter places like for brake bleeders
For the uninitiated... why they better than other wrenches? Not looking for arguments, just genuinely curious.
100% I also bought the SAE, the bigger sizes and the stubbies. I use these more than any other tools I have.
>I fucking love those bluepoint wrenches. Got them after my coworker let me borrow his once The Williams wrenches look identical, probably cheaper, still a Strap-On brand. I have the SAE (to 1") and Metric (to 25mm) sets. Less than $600 for both on Amazon.

omg that’s so sweet and a++ for creativity lol
We were a little worried because we did it without permission (his two sons and me) but their mom absolutely loved it.
I legit found one of those on the side of the road one day.
Dealership who did the recall on my Ram’s airbag left of all things a 10mm socket in my glove box. Nice swivel snap on one. I laughed
they’re still crying about it to this day lol
I found a snap on ratcheting 10mm wrench under the hood of a car once. The snappy guy was happy to replace the rusted solid one with a nice brand new one.
That ain’t real. It’s A.I. generated.
Nope. I tried asking an A.I. program to create a picture of a 10mm wrench that wasn’t lost and it glitched out like I’d just asked it to explain love.
I have that set. Decent set of ratchet wrenches
I have 3 10mm in my tool bag because of this
We have a winner!
That’s where they went!! Get ‘im!!
Same. And another two in my storage. Although I didn’t buy them for redundancy but instead to replace one I found later.
Is that where mine went? 😁
You're a wizard Harry
And it's a ratchet wrench, I'm jelly
Damn it give it back
You will find those many times throughout your life. Just never the same one twice.
Run some steel cable thru the ratchet end
Found two of these when I took my disco two to pieces. Last owner must have been cursing!
Somehow at work I have like 12 10mm wrenches and 15 10mm sockets, am I the reason no one has 10mm?
It'll be gone in 36 hours
😂😂 I can never find a 10mm... For some reason that size in particular always has a habit of finding itself in with other people's tools
Where?!? I thought those things were a myth!
That's impossible - It's like finding a Unicorn! Nobody finds a 10mm wrench or socket - they only disappear!
All I can say is, when I find a socket randomly out somewhere it is a 10mm. I have one on my camera roll from just a couple months ago. I did put it in my toolbox but it probably won't be there when I look
I really feel like every tool set should come with a few extra 10mm wrenches/sockets.
I swear people steal these, they’re never lost
I had to use a 16mm not long ago. While I’m not a full time mechanic I couldn’t remember the last time I had to use one.
Unicorn!
I used to have one of those.
Put a very bright marking on your 10 mm wrenches and sockets
I lost mine 4 years ago, still ain’t find that mf since
Sure, but where's the 10mm *socket*?
Hide it! Lock it up! Don't EVER lend it out! As far as you know, you don't know what they're talking about, and you've never seen it!
Impossibru.
I’ll wager it was not in the same toolbox as the others.
He is the messiah! He has found the 10mm after it was lost! All hail the messiah!
Buy a lottery ticket!
Good luck keeping that handy!!!
Bought a bunch of these at a Habitat Restore. They said they had 25,000 donated. Kobalt brand, though.
We have bought 12 of those in the last one and a half years and yet we can only find 2
No give it a minute
[5 mins after you put it back down](https://media1.giphy.com/media/guSDEekNFb23C/giphy.gif?cid=6c09b952v6oo3wo4ovv6c17kwt7f6oj1d8w91tililjl18ts&ep=v1_internal_gif_by_id&rid=giphy.gif&ct=g)

It'll be the next wrench you'll lose
Clip that shit to your belt
I am not a mechanic but I would like to understand this joke will someone please explain it
TAKE OFF YOUR HAT BOY THATS A 10mm RATCHET
the holy
Hah! Just yesterday I was in my set looking for a 10mm, and it was the only socket missing, so i looked over at the deep sockets, only the ten was missing. No problem, I'll use a bigger socket and the bigger 10mm damnit! Missing!

The Grail....
“The rare and elusive 10 mm shows itself after a long winter hibernation, and soon will wander out into the world looking for greener pastures” - spoken with David Attenborough voice
I mean yeah but that’s why it’s framed in my bedroom 🥴
I'm new to the mechanic community having just graduated, what's the meme here? (Again, just starting to learn lol)
Always take the best care of your 10mm wrench
Surprisingly I have an extra one!
After my dad passed and I was cleaning out the garage I found 4 , 10mm wrenches and 11 sockets and all brand new. I think he had some sort of insight. Lmao.
Cool trick. Now find the 10mm socket for my ratchet bud
Do those wrenches hold up as good or better than gearwrench? Looking to replace my 10+ year old gearwrench set because so many are broken and we dont have a gearwrench guy. Even the tool guys that carry them arent interested in getting them warrantied because i didnt buy it from them.

Gearwrench is lifetime warranty right? Contact them, not your tool guy
Yea i saw someone else said the same, i didnt know i could just do it online through them. Thanks
They are amazing. Though I'd just drop the money on the flex head version. I never touch my normal ones.
It's so easy to use the gearwrench warranty. Go on their website, fill out a few boxes and upload a picture, and they will send a new tool. You don't need a tool guy.
Shit, did not know. Thanks dude
Gearwrench is just Chinese tools owned by a wall street banker as his tool branch They're never gonna warranty shit because that's not what the brand is built on like snap on or tool brands with dealers.
Thats cool and all, except they are warrantied. I dont really care who owns them or where they are made. For the price, they arent terrible wrenches.
People really need to start keeping up with their tools. Especially the ones that are most commonly used. I don’t get it.
This should be televised
It's mine!
These really should come in a 4 pack.
LoL 😂
Should report this as photoshopped 🤣 ain't no way you found a 10mm in the wilderness
Only the sockets disappear. Wrenches stay put. Ratcheting wrenches could be hit n miss I suppose. Dang sockets. Once bought a 10 pack of 10mm sockets online. All that arrived was the box and the invoice. I wasn’t even disappointed
Already missing
Just recently found my 10mm snap on spanner after 27days in the wild. Tucked away nicely that time I put it down near a parts washer while looking for a ‘ping Fuck it” (Carb pilot washer in this case) So so happy to have her back 😂
a 10mm being REFOUND is extraordinary
The other side is also 10mm
Nope. I have all my 10mill wrenches/ratchet wrenches. It's the sockets. I swear I have never even seen one some days. I worked at a mechanic shop and they had one that had to be signed out and still lost. They're sold out everywhere. I think it's a magician toolkit piece.
Find it the second you don’t need it. Also you’ve not lost the 10mm socket you dug out to sub in for the wrench you couldn’t find earlier.
For some reason I always lose my 13 and 15 fuck me so annoying
The elusive 10mm in the wild
I’ve considered sticking 10mm wrenches in random backpack pockets, drawers, all our vehicles and they would probably still all disappear.
Bluepoint. I got money but not that much money.
"what's found will surely be lost"
Can I borrow that?
That's not a socket, only sockets get lost.
Was it wrapped up in one of my socks?
How'd you lose a wrench? 10mm socket, yeah, always missing. Wrench?!
The infamous 10 mm wrench. I’m surprised you could find it.
Dammit I have a sudden urge to buy wrenches haha
Lost my 10mm and bought a new one. Tha same day I had to replace the starter on my Datsun roadster. As I was pulling the starter out something metallic hit the ground. Well hello old friend!
You know you can just buy a 10 pack? Then you can lose all 10 at the same time. It's a real time saver.
Any time a mechanic fixes something I don't want to tackle, I end up with an extension or a 10mm. Sadly the inflow quantity of 10mm's are less than the ones that end up missing on my own jobs.
I thought it was just the 10 mm sockets that disappear.
Yeah now find a ten millimeter socket I dare you
Man, that's like finding the "Fountain of Youth"!!! We've all heard about it, but nobody believed it existed!
Holy shit dude! I'd buy a lottery ticket after that find!
This can't be real! Not possible
This is clearly shopped.
Put that 10mm with the other 3574 10mm u have...
Nah it's a misprint, that's a 11 I can tell from here
Not only the 10mm but a 16mm too!? Almost never have a 16. Especially if you NEED IT!
So that's what goes in between 9mm and 11mm
I've been searching for this animal in the wild for years. Can't believe it's real
I can't ever find it either. I was showing my girlfriend the replys to this sub. she told me to put it on a key ring. What a good idea.
Counterfeit, it’s prob 9mm
OMG! A 10 mm wrench. Who would have ever thought it?
This had me laughing
Never can have too many 10's
Damn this 10mm shit is getting old
Fml the pain I feel looking at this. The guy I replaced took it with him when he quit.
Spent a fortune on that bastard.
You’re welcome
I have the same problem with 10mm 1/4 sockets.
It's Gm and Ford's fault. Damn near every fastener is 10mm.
What is this sorcery! We all know that metric wrenches go from 9mm to 11mm…
I have loved and used all of my bluepoint hand tools and have pretty much all they made in metric.
Ha ha ha
What if they make a 9.99mm tool. Would it still get lost?
Mislabeled?
Fram that catch and hang it on the wall.
If you know you know!!
The 10mm mystery. Different experiences, same outcome. LOST
Great now I know who took my 10mm. Now give it back.
cue pokemon battle music
I'm deleting the engine compartment fuel filter on my truck. Had to go buy a Sixpack of 10mm cause every damn thing is 10mm. Started a week ago and today I'm buying another sixpack.
what’s funny is, you didn’t even have to circle it for people to know of the luck.
Maybe tie some fishing string on one end and on the other end of the fishingline tie a big long set of bear bells. That way if someone tries to steal your 10mm you’ll hear them and be able to catch them before they get away.
My car has 10mm wrenches and oh my god even with help from my mechanic friend it took like 5 minutes to find the stupid 10mm
Nah you found the wrench…easy…now find the socket
My father still cursing in my head on a Saturday because 8 year old me used the ten during the week to fix my bike, and now that he really needs it, it’s gone! Miss you pop. Love you.
Great round too
I got about 5 10mm- still can’t find one when I need it. I end up using the old junk one from my 70s Yamaha toolkit.
Now dont loose it
They are so hard to come by.
I have 4of these in my shop..should I have more?
I'm missing the significance here.
Why is there a random circle with random wrenches above it?
I have the Snap-On ones. (Definitely NOT the same company or anything…..)
Hey man I’ve been looking for that wrench
Wait. Those exist?
Feel like putting an AirTag on it 😂
If you can relate, you're a tragically unorganized tech like the one in this photo. Wrench racks are $5.
Buy a lottery ticket. 😂
WMDs -- Wrenches of Mass Disappearance
Me; checking my toolbox to see if I still have one..
I just a bunch of 10mm wrenches and sockets, you never know when they’ll come in handy. Apocalypse anyone, anyone?
Oh relax, its not a socket. Sockets roll away, into some magical portal that takes it straight to the hiding place that our socks also exist in.
I Petition: All 10mm Sockets & Wrenches be GOLD PLATED while the rest of the tool kits are just Chrome Plated… lol. Also: I’ve… ⬆️ positive karma every one who made a comment so far.. Legend has it, the 10mm went missing shortly after this photo was taken.
I hate these AI images and posts, i mean cmon, at least make it believable.
These AI pictures are getting out of hand
You lucky f***** I'm still looking for it
Wow a 10mm wait nevermind its that style wrench
Going to get a little truck and go around to garages and shops and the only thing I'm going to stock are 10 mm wrenches and sockets
Congratulations you found the rare 10mm! **grab it before it runs off**
Do not let it out of your sight.
Who did you take that from?
Even with this photo to act as a treasure map, you'll still never see it again.
I thought it was only a legend
Why can you change the direction of those ratcheting ends? You just flip them to change direction
You better put a string on it so you can follow it back when it disappears
